Kagome ran her fingers though Koga's hair and sighed heavily. She kissed his forehead softly, “Well,” Kagome strained up and wiped her straight tears. “Happy early Thanksgiving Honey,” Kagome whispered and kissed his lips softly and walked out of Koga's room. She had to go pack for Inuyasha's brother's party; Inuyasha had paid for new luggage and a dress. Kagome fell in love with a beautiful red cocktail dress that was delivered to Inuyasha's house from Paris. Kagome never had clothes from Paris; she had plates and furniture but nothing that she could wear. Bankotsu drove Kagome back to Inuyasha's house; she wasn't comfortable calling it “Home” yet. Kagome cell phone rang; it was Inuyasha, “Hello?”

“Hey, are you on your way back to the house?” Inuyasha asked.

“Yeah, why?” Kagome asked.

“Well change direction, and go to Shippo's school,” He ordered.

“But Shippo doesn't get out for another 2 hours,”

“Looks like he got into some trouble, so be a good girl and straighten it out,” Inuyasha said.

“As you command master,” Kagome said sarcastically.

Kagome told Bankotsu what happened and he brought her back to Shippo's school. Kagome quickly walked to Shippo's principal's office. When she opened the door Shippo was sitting in there with his head down.

“Shippo, what happened?” Kagome asked and sat next to him.

“I got into a fight,” Shippo said and lifted his face. He had a black eye and a burse on his cheek.

Kagome gasped and touched his cheek gently, “Are you okay?” Shippo nodded and a couple tears ran down his cheeks. He jumped into Kagome's arms. Kagome hugged him tightly and rubbed his back to console him. Kagome and Shippo waited for the principal to finish talking to the other kids and their parents.

“How did this happen Shippo?” Kagome asked after he finished crying.

“I was just talking to Kanna and one of the boys came up to me and pushed me down, he said that Kanna was his girlfriend and I wasn't allowed to talk to her. That made me mad, so I pushed him back. I told him that I could talk to Kanna if I wanted to. Then his friends came behind me and pushed me down. They started punching and kicking and hitting me. Kanna tried to get them to stop but she couldn't so she went to get Miss Yura.” Shippo explained.

“That's awful!” Kagome said angrily.

“I'm sorry Kagome,” Shippo said.

Kagome smiled, “It wasn't your fault. Like Inuyasha told you to do, you didn't let them push you around. You stood up for your self, and I know he'll be really proud in you.” Kagome said.

“Thanks,” Shippo smiled and put his arms around Kagome's neck and hugged her tightly.

Inuyasha sat in his office chair and Miroku was looking out the window. As always Inuyasha was working and Miroku was “taking a break”, something seemed to be different about him this time. Miroku had something on his mind but Inuyasha was too busy to notice. Miroku was thinking about the girl he ran into the other day, he couldn't stop thinking about her.

“Miroku!” Inuyasha startled him and he jumped. “Thanksgiving is in two days! We need to get all this stuff done, we wont be here tomorrow!” Inuyasha said.

“Sorry.” Miroku said and walked to his desk, “Hey, are you sure it's okay that I invited that girl?” He asked.

“I said you could invite anybody you wanted to, as long as this girl can be decent I don't care,” Inuyasha said, not looking up from his work.

“She can be decent! This girl is different; she covers up! She's a good girl,” Miroku explained.

“Good, I hope she rubs off on you!” Inuyasha chuckled.

“Ha!” Miroku said sarcastically.

“I don't get how you met this girl? You pick up girls at clubs for god sakes! How did you find a good girl? I mean she doesn't smoke, drink, she volunteers, and she doesn't dress like a hoe!” Inuyasha said this time looking straight at Miroku.

“I just met her,” Miroku sighed heavily, “And I haven't been able to forget about her ever since,” Miroku explained and sighed again.

“Oh god!” Inuyasha breathed. Then his cell rang, “Hello?”

“Hey, It's Kagome, everything's fine over here.” Kagome said.

“Good, what happened?” Inuyasha asked anxiously.

“We'll explain at the house, I'll take care of everything.” Kagome said.

Inuyasha smiled. Her voice was so soft and light, it made him clam, “Thanks,”

“No problem, so what do you want for dinner?” Kagome asked.

“Surprise me, if Shippo isn't in trouble make what he wants.” Inuyasha said.

“Ok, see you at the house, Bye,” Kagome said.

“Bye,” Inuyasha said and hung up the phone.

“Was that your mistress?” Miroku said and took a sip of his coffee.

“Don't call her that,” Inuyasha growled.

“You know you blush when her calls,” Miroku said.

“I do not!” Inuyasha yelled. Miroku started laughing, “Ok, lets stop joking around! Lets get back to work!” Inuyasha commanded.

Kagome sat in the back of the car with Shippo; they just finished talking to his principal. Kagome had just called Inuyasha and Shippo was being very quiet.

“Shippo, even though Inuyasha will be really proud of you I think he's going to have to punish you,” Kagome said.

“What?” Shippo gasped.

“I mean think about it, it's not okay to fight with people,” Kagome explained.

“But I know that! I was just protecting my self!” Shippo said then made a sad puppy face.

Kagome giggled, “You know, it's not as useful with that back eye.” Kagome said.

They arrived at the house and Kagome went to make dinner. Later Inuyasha came home. When he saw Shippo he was at a loss for words, “What happened?” he demanded angrily. He grabbed Shippo's face and looked at his injury. Shippo winced and was in pain so he clawed at Inuyasha's hands, but Inuyasha didn't notice.

Kagome pushed Inuyasha away from Shippo, “Be careful!” She yelled and rubbed Shippo's face softly.

Inuyasha took a deep breath, “Just tell me what the hell happened,” Inuyasha tried to say calmly.

Kagome was about to explain but Shippo spoke, “I got in a fight,” Shippo said and looked up at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha looked angrily at Kagome, his nostrils flared, his hands on his hips. “Kagome, give us a second,” Inuyasha tried to say calmly, Kagome nodded and walked out of the room and closed the door behind her. Kagome walked into the kitchen to finish dinner. She didn't hear yelling or anything so she just waited for them to come out.

Miroku drove his sports car down the wet street toward Sango's house. Sango sat in the passenger's seat and looked upon him with an almost invisible smile on her face. Miroku turned to her and she could have snapped her neck the way she quickly turned her head. Miroku chuckled and gabbed Sango's hand and kissed it. She looked at him and blushed.

“So you all packed for tomorrow?” Miroku asked her, bring his eyes back to the road.

“Yea, are you sure it's ok for me to come? I mean I wont know anybody,” Sango said.

“You'll know me, and that's all you need to know.” Miroku smiled at her and she blushed and looked out the window. “I'm sure it'll be fine. Just don't talk to my pal's fiancé. She's no good,”

“Don't worry,” Sango said and smiled sweetly.

“Good, I wouldn't want her to contaminate my angle,” Miroku said and touched her chin lightly. Sango blushed furiously but couldn't stop looking at him.

Kagome sat at the dinner table and waited for Shippo and Inuyasha to stop talking. She all ready finished dinner and couldn't do anything else. Kagome's food started to get cold, but right as she was about to check in on them they came out.

“Hey,” Kagome said.

“We worked it out,” Shippo said sitting down and taking big helpings of food.

“Yeah, the only thing I'm worried about is what Shess will think tomorrow,” Inuyasha rubbed his temples at the thought.

“Good,” Kagome smiled sweetly and watched the guys eat her food happily. “Inuyasha?”

“Yeah?” Inuyasha asked with his mouth full.

“When are we leaving tomorrow?” she asked.

“6 am, they live about three hours away but we have to be there for breakfast.” Inuyasha explained.

“Wow! That's early,” Kagome said.

“Well you better be ready,” Shippo said.

“Yeah, Yeah! I'll be there,” Kagome said and took a bite out of the food she made.
