;        The castle that belonged to Narkau was one was grim. It reaked of rotting bodys and it screamed out the sense of aloneness. As much as he hated it, he preferred to keep it that way. He found that the skelitons of the vessles he had once had were a constint reminder of how powerful he was, and how weak humans were. All his loyal vessels had been melted away with his poison gas in a battle with InuYasha and his crew. But as he saw it, it was just another reason to hate the hanyou further.

He had every thing that he wanted.

At one stage in his life, all he had wanted was Kikyo. It was an obsession that was not rightfully his. It was left over from Onigumo, his father in a sense. And from that binding part of him, he was nevr able to rid himself of the urge to not hurt Kikyo. There was just...something... there that would not allow him to kill her. No harm could be done. It was infuriating.

And InuYasha had her, he always did. It had just made the hate and spite for him grow deeper. Yet it was strange, he was mad about it, but he did not know why. He just knew he should be. But then... Then he saw Kagome.

If there was such a thing as angels, Kagome would be one. She had the warmth in her eyes that he had never seen before. When she smiled, it was like she had blessed the world. And in many ways, she was the only good thing that this place had to offer. So he watched her. And the more he did so, the more involved and in love he became.

He watched her day in and day out for several months. It seemed like as more time went by, the more beatiful she became. He had never felt this way before. This was HIS obsession. It belonged to him, not that if another person. In that way, he felt free.

So he continued to persue this obsession where the second member of the party was totally unaware. He had not ment to get Kikyo involved, but it just happened.

It was a spring day, late in the evening, almost four years ago, when the hanyou, the third member of their love triangle, ran off to meet the undead miko, making her the fourth, in this twisted game of passion. He watched in awe as he witnessed first hand the power that she held over his head. She would call to him, and he would follow. He was like the low life dog he was. And there was Kagome. Alone, standing, often watching this all happen before her eyes. Pain was evident in them, and all he wanted to do was take it away. His spite for InuYasha grew every time he watched him make her suffer.

Kikyo was powerful in two ways. One she was gifted with the natural gifts that only a miko can posess. And two, she had some control over the half breed. He could use that. They could use that...

He called for Kikyo shortly after she left the hanyou. He remembered the conversation well.

"Naraku..." She said coyly, a smug smile on her face.

         "You came." He had said.

"Of course. I said that I would."

         "And on time too."

"What is it you want? I have no time for games Narkau."

"I have a proposition for you Kikyo. You crave the hanyou, and I... I want Kagome. You seem to have some sort of hold on InuYasha, and if we work together, than we both can get what we want."

"And how do you prepose we get what we want? How do you even know what I want Naraku?"

"You want to take InuYasha to hell."

"And how am I to get him there?"

"We will work through Kagome. Do you have any pull on her?"

"Dreams. I am able to see her dreams."

         "And? What are they of?"

"InuYasha and her. People I dont know from a strange land. The monk and demon slayer."

"How can we use this to our advantage?" He let the question arise in the air and sit there for a moment.

"If I try, I could invade them."

         "Invade?"

"Hack into her dreams almost, as if I can alter them."

         "That might just work."

And it did. Tonight was the last night he would have to be with out her. He would no longer have to feel lost and alone. Nor have the urges to dry her tears. She would be his. All his.

And the hanyou. He would be gone! Another problem of his solved. It brought him more joy than he had realized to think that InuYasha would suffer. As he thought more and more upon the idea it became less of a pipe dream and more of a reality.

Naraku walked steadily through the coridors of his mountin side castle. Some thing he rarely ever did. He found it pointless, and meaning less to do. But now, he had time to kill, and he just wandered, lost in the world of his own day dreams. Suddenly, a child bathed in clothes of white approched him silently.

"What is it Kanna?" He asked.

"It is time for your departure Master Naraku." The girl said in a utterly low voice.

A smile came to the older mans face.

         "So it is."

         *************

Kagome was in a daze. She had only one place she could think of to find the hanyou. So much had changeed in those few seconds. He had kissed her... he had... said good bye...

Was it forever? It must have ment to be so. For years she was the laid back one, willing to let him walk all over her, never say a word. But now, she refused to let this go, she refused to let him go.

She had never felt anything more Earth shattering than that of InuYasha's kiss. It was quick and breif, but the passion in it was hardly lacked. It held up all the emotions he refused to bare, and in return, it held all the tears that she had wept on nights in which she was alone. It was the beginning of the end.

Shippo sat next to her on the back of the fire cat. He had pleaded to go, and Sango thought it best if she not be alone. Prehaps she was right in the end.

& nbsp;      She moved the hair from her face, and saw that the villaige was just up ahead. She could see the out lines of the water ways and the small strips of land. It was like an almost home. And for a breif moment, she forgot the need of why she came, and just that she missed it dearly.

Winter had left this village, and made its ways onto more northern regions. The buds of the tress were sprouting about and life was aparent every where. The green of the grass was litetred with flowers colored of pink and yellow, making the world look as if it were colored in pastels. Kagome stared at the scenery in wonder how one thing could look so tranquil in such a dismal time. She searched the ground for any traces of silver and red.

And there he was, sitting under the shade of a tree, not too far from the villiage. His hair was blowing freely as the wind caressed his face. He looked up at her with sad eyes. They seemed not to have a trace of surprize, nor confusion. As if he expected all along that she would follow. Kirara set down, and slowly, the hanyou stood.

         "Kagome..."

          "InuYasha... What..."

"What are you doing here?" His voice was so silently still.

         "I came to get you."

         The hanyou's eyes met hers.

          "Come with me."

&n bsp; InuYasha walked into Kaedas hut. It had a sense that seemed some what depressed. The old Miko looked at him in shock.

"InuYasha? Can that truely be ye?"

         "Huh?"

"I have gotten word that ye intends to go to hell with my sister Kikyo."

"...Yes...." Was all he could say in a sad voice. Calm and quite.

;       "I have to. I gave my word."

         "But do ye want to?"

As he was about to answer, the voice of a kitsune broke in.

         "Kaeda! Are you home Kaeda?"

         InuYasha turned on his heels.

         "Shippo?"

"InuYasha? What are you... how did you...?"

         "What sre you doing here?"

"Me?" He asked. "How did you get here so fast?"

         "What..."

         "Where is Kagome?"

Suddenly there was a rush in him.

"What do you mean 'where is Kagome?'"

"You left with her only a few minutes ago. How did you get here before us?"

         InuYasha's blood ran cold.
