Chapter 13 ~Pure of Heart. Mind, Body & Soul
Sango was out side explaining the condition Kagoma was in to Shippo, and that it would be better for him to play outside while Kaede spoke to Inuyasha and Miroku.
Shippo understood they had gross things to discus, and thought it would be in his best interest to stay outside and play.
Miroku had one scroll in his hand and placed it in his inside pocket and patted it.
Inuyasha was placing five scrolls into his belt-“You sure this is enough Miroku?”
Miroku smiled-“We’ll, find out soon enough wont we.”
Sango, Miroku and Inuyasha entered the hut. Kagome was lying next to the fire and was covered by a thin white sheet that was lay loose around her form. The powerful golden eyes could see the darkened quarter sized circles atop her breast and a faint, thin dark patch between her legs.
Lady Kaede looked at the now sitting hanyou-“Are ye sure ye can handle this Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha-“Keh, no problem.” Inuyasha laid his eyes on Kagome face as she laid sleeping
Kaede-“Ye boys must keep pure heart. mind, and body if ye be in here.”
Miroku-“Yes, Lade Kaede. If we feel as though we need to leave, we will.”
Inuyasha nodded-“Tell us what you know old woman.”
Kaede - “It seems that a cures was placed upon Kagome is a child bearing curse if you will. I am unsure of what exact cures though. It has grown in power and Kagome is fighting it with all her might. She has been resting like this ever science you placed her here. The curse is taking over. She will feel better somewhat after it is settled some.”
Inuyasha looked shocked-“Naraku wanted her to bare his child after all then?”
Miroku sadly replied-“It appears so.”
Sango- “But why?”
Miroku-“He must have a plan to use the child.”
Kaede-“ Aye, the child would be powerful, and it would become more powerful threw birth.”
Sango-“What do you mean Kaede?”
Miroku- “He would probably use Kagome to get to us?”
Sango- “Kagome would never let anything happen to us though.”
Kaede-“No, the child would most likely kill her during birth since it would be Narakus, and would absorb her powers as well as have its own from its father. This curse though will prove difficult for ye men to be near Kagome though.”
Sango-“How so Kaede?”
Kaede-“The men whom fight their urges will find they make passes to women, try to relieve the building emotions.”
Inuyasha had a disgusted face as he thought *Its own father.* rang in his sensitive ears over and over again. Without taking his eyes off Kagome he softly spoke- “Is she... baring a child now? Maybe that’s why she’s so tiered.”
Kaede looked at the hanyou- “I can not tell yet Inuyasha.”
Miroku- “Inuyasha can’t demons tell if there mate is expecting?”
Inuyasha crossed his arms - “Maybe.”
Miroku-“Could you tell if Kagome was then?”
Inuyasha-“Maybe.”
Sango-“How soon can you tell?”
Inuyasha- “When the heart beat is loud enough to hear. Or her sent change. But normally...only the father can tell until she was further along.”
Kaede-“Aye, that would be for a while yet. But ye would be able to still Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha bowed his head and nodded slightly.
Sango with a questioned look- “Inuyasha but I thought only demons could tell if they were the one who had matted with the woman?”
Miroku with a big grin and a hope filled voice-“There’s hope yet that it’s not Narakus child then Inuyahsa!?!”
Inuyasha -“NO lech we...I’ve...That hasn’t happened.”
Sango-“Then how could you tell then Inuyasha?”
Inuyasha- “Just drop it okay.”
Kaede-“Inuyasha we deserve an explanation.”
Inuyasha snapped-“Shuddup, Come off it already.”
Sango- “Wait a minuet know. My father told me about this.”
Inuyasha darted his eyes at Sango with anger and pleading.
Sango wasn’t looking at the hanyou-“He’s in love with her! He feels her emotions even though they aren’t together.”
Inuyasha screamed in defense -“I am not...... I’m her... friend that’s all.”
Miroku got a look from having a brilliant idea-“There’s one way to find out if he did mate her at least!”
They all looked at the monk with question.
Miroku then continued as he rubbed his chin-“Though it is fairly privet but I’d be up for the job.”
Sango cocked an eyebrow with an unpleased look -“What are you talking about Miroku?”
Miroku with a big smile-“Well, I could see if she is still a virgin.”
Sango screamed-“YOU LECH” as a mad Inuyasha hit him on the head <WHAK> “Don’t even think it Monk.”
Miroku rubbing his head-“Well, I’m right.”
Kaede rolled her eyes-“Aye, ye are.”
Sango had the urge to hit the monk again <WHAK>
Miroku didn’t even bother to ask why he got hit again.
