Chapter 5

Inu Yasha was sitting on his couch thinking about Kagome. After the past year that was all he could think about. He tried to go out with another girl named Kikyo to try and get Kagome out of his head after he had seen her kiss that other guy but apparently he couldn't. He wanted to take her out on a date and ask her about that guy. He mostly wanted to ask her out on a date to tell her how he felt about her. He couldn't take seeing her without feeling like he would brake any moment if she were taken away from him. He picked up his cell phone that was still charging on the night table and then dialed Kagome's phone number.

Kagome punched the air and then kicked it before she did a spin kick. She stood in an attack position and then cursed under her breath when the phone rang.

"Hello!"

"Kagome! It's me Inu Yasha."

"Hey Inu Yasha. What's up?"

"Um… I was wondering… if um… maybe you would… Kagome would you like to go out tonight?"

Kagome was surprised. Inu Yasha asking her out on a date? Something was up and she wanted to know exactly what it was. This wasn't like Inu Yasha at all. Besides what happened to that damn annoying Kikyo of his that kept saying that Inu Yasha was hers and only hers? Kagome needed to find out what was going on so she just asked.

"Is something the matter Inu Yasha?"

Inu Yasha was silent for a moment. "Yeah! Why do you ask?"

"You never asked me on a date before."

"Well I just thought that it would be nice to go out on a date. It is a lovely night tonight so what do you say would you?"

"Sure why not?"

"Great! Ill pick you up at 8:30 okay?"

Sure that will give me enough time to take a shower."

"All right see you in an hour."

With that he hung up the phone.

`I finally get a night alone with her without anybody to bother us.' Inu Yasha thought to himself as he got up from his bed to take a shower and get dressed.

Kagome was putting on her shirt when the doorbell rang. She stood up and headed for the door. She went down the stairs and then down the hall towards the front door.

Kagome opened the door and was surprised when she saw Inu Yasha dressed in a button up shirt. Inu Yasha just stood there looking at Kagome.

`Does she have to dress like that. Its not that I don't like it but I just don't want anyone trying to do something to her.'

She was wearing tight blue jeans with a white shirt that had so many designs on it that it looked like it was torn up. She had her hair up with a hair stick.

"You ready to go?" Inu Yasha found his voice.

"Just a sec. Now I am." Kagome smiled at him and then locked the door behind her.

They got in his red eclipse and then they were out the drive way.

Inu Yasha turned on the radio. They were giving Amanda Perez Angle. Inu Yasha could hear Kagome singing along with the radio.

Kagome felt like crying. This was the same song that she always sang every time that she went to visit her dad. He had told her that that song was his favorite song.

Inu Yasha didn't ignore this change in her scent. `She sang so beautifully. She should make a career out of it. At least she wouldn't have this many problems. But that time that she raced, she seemed so happy and carefree but she also looked like she was trying to run away from something. I wonder what it was.'

"Kagome are you okay?"

Kagome noticed that the tone in his voice showed concern and worry.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Kagome tried to hold back her tears. It worked but she didn't know how many times she was going to have to hold them back like that.

"Okay. Well we're here!" Inu Yasha got out of the car and then went over to open Kagome's door.

Kagome got out and was surprised to find that they were at a garden somewhere. There was nobody around and you could smell all of the flowers around you.

"Wow!" Kagome said as she looked around.

"Do you like it?" Inu Yasha wasn't looking around like her he was more focused on her. He looked her up and down until she turned around.

"I love it. It's so beautiful and peaceful. I've never been in a place like this since I was little. Just where are we exactly?" Kagome knelt down to smell some roses that where next to her. "They smell so wonderful."

"This is my backyard. I live here by myself in this house." Inu Yasha went over to Kagome and picked up the white flower that was next to the roses that she smelled.

Kagome stood up and looked at Inu Yasha.

"May I?" Inu Yasha asked as he walked up to her and went to touch her hair.

"Sure. Go ahead."

Inu Yasha tucked the white flower that he had picked out in her hair. He looked at her for a moment. Kagome decided to break the silence.

"Exactly where is your house? I don't see it anywhere." Kagome looked around looking for any sign of a house.

"Come! Ill show you." Inu Yasha grabbed her by her hand and then led her to what looked like a mansion.

"Wow. Its huge." Kagome looked at the huge building in front of her. Inu Yasha went up to open the door.

"Come in." Inu Yasha stepped aside so the she could go in first. Kagome went in. The place was gigantic.

"You must have everything you ever wanted here don't you?" Kagome took a step forward and then turned to look at Inu Yasha.

Inu Yasha looked down at his feet and then back up to her. "Almost everything I ever wanted." Inu Yasha walked up to Kagome so that she was only a few inches away from him. Inu Yasha finally closed the space between them in a passionate kiss.

Kagome was surprised by his actions but gave in to it. Inu Yasha passed his tongue over he lips begging for entrance. Kagome complied and parted her lips. Inu Yasha quickly pushed his tongue into her mouth. Kagome gasped into his mouth but was silenced when Inu Yasha deepened the kiss. Inu Yasha broke the kiss so that they could breathe for a while. He was proud of himself for making her breathless with only one kiss.

"Come." Inu Yasha spooned Kagome into his arms and then headed up the stairs.

"Where are we going?" Kagome asked a bit confused by his actions.

"You'll see!" Was all Inu Yasha said. He stopped in front of a door and opened it.
