Chapter 6

Inu Yasha opened the door and dragged Kagome in with him. Inu Yasha didn't turn on the light and it was kind of dark in the room so it was hard for Kagome to see anything. Inu Yasha sat Kagome down on something soft and then went over to close the door. Now everything was even darker.

"Lights." Inu Yasha ordered. The lights turned on. Everything was clear now. It was what looked like a master bedroom with a king size bed that Kagome was sitting on and a bear rug along with two chairs at the corner of the room. The curtains were a dark red more like a burgundy and there only seemed to be one thing without curtains that were closed.

"Its beautiful. How come you never invited me over before? Were you scared that I wouldn't like it?" Kagome got up from the bed and walked towards one of the windows.

"May I?" Kagome asked as she turned her face to look at him.

"Wait. Now." Inu Yasha dimmed the lights and then signaled her that it was all right to open the curtain. Kagome opened one of them and there was a beautiful view of the city. The lights looked as if it was Christmas and there was a huge tree everywhere you looked.

"It looks like a picture. More like a picture that just came to life out of a story book." Kagome walked over to the other window and did the same. She opened every window curtain and stopped once she got to the two glass doors that led to a balcony. Kagome opened the doors and then walked off into the balcony. It was pretty high for a balcony. She gave a shiver as the wind blew. She put her hair down so that her neck wouldn't get goose bumps from the breeze. Inu Yasha walked up to her and put his arms around her shoulders.

"You're cold." Inu Yasha all but whispered into her left ear making her shiver even more. He let his head rest on Kagome's shoulder. "You know, I haven't been able to get you out of my mind. You seem to have just cast a spell on me. Every time I go to sleep you are the only thing that I can see. Your scent is like a drug to me. It drives me crazy every time that I see you hugging another guy knowing that he just might have his way with you. Kagome?" Inu Yasha closed his eyes. "Will you stay with me?" Inu Yasha whispered into her ear. Kagome shuddered at the touch of his warm breath against her ear and neck.

`Wait. What about Kikyo?' Kagome backed away from his embrace now inside of the room. She just had to know. She had wanted to know if he loved her.

"What about Kikyo? I thought that you and her…"

"Kikyo meant nothing to me. I was just trying to forget about you after I saw you with that other guy at your house but…"

"Wait a minute. Were you spying on me and Hojo?" Kagome wanted to know. If it was true then that must have been the reason for her feeling a demon's presence.

"I only wanted to see you… when that guy showed up and kissed you." Inu Yasha looked at her for an explanation.

"Hojo is just a friend. Apparently he still thinks that I go out with him after I told him over and over again that it was over with us but he just seemed to not want to accept it."

"So you don't love him?"

"No. But he keeps on saying that I'm his girl but I would be careful if I was you. He tends to get angry every time that he sees me with another guy. Once he even…" Kagome trailed off. She didn't want to remember what had happened to her last boyfriend. Kagome started to cry.

Inu Yasha could smell the tears coming and just went over to comfort her.

"Shh. It's going to be okay. I'm here. Don't worry." Inu Yasha lifted her head so that he could look at her eyes. Kagome just stared at him. Then they both drew nearer and nearer until they were sharing another passionate kiss.

"Well well well! If it isn't my little brother and that biker girl that beat me numerous times. What are you two up to?" Sesshomaru was standing at the door watching as the newfound couple made out. Inu Yasha and Kagome quickly backed away blushing at the fact that they had just been caught making out in the middle of the room.

"What are you doing here Sesshomaru?" Inu Yasha walked over to Sesshomaru.

"Ah hem." Kagome walked up to the both of them and turned to face Inu Yasha. "I have to go." Inu Yasha grabbed her by the arm and turned her around.

"Ill take you home." Inu Yasha walked past Sesshomaru and left after Kagome. He got in his car and then was off with Kagome. Kagome sat still in her seat next to him. He just looked at her once and then kept on driving.

When they got to Kagome's house Inu Yasha Walked up to the steps with her.

"Good night." Inu Yasha gave her a quick kiss in the lips and then was off towards his car. As soon as he got there he just smiled and then was off.

Kagome's cell phone was ringing. She quickly picked it up and put down her purse on the kitchen table.

"Hello?"

"Miss Higuraishi (gomen ne if I spelled it wrong) this is the Tokyo police station. Can you please come to the Tokyo Central Hospital please this is an emergency."

Is everything okay?"

"We prefer that you were here instead."

"All right ill be there in a few." With that Kagome went out the door leaving her cell phone and purse behind only taking a jacket and her bike helmet. She locked the door and got on her motorcycle. She turned it on and was out in a flash.

Once Kagome got to the hospital she went in and there was the police.

"Miss Higuraishi?" One officer came up to her.

"Yes?" Kagome was worried about what they might want. Why did they need her anyway?

"Follow us." Kagome did as she was told as two officers led to her to a room with three beds in it.

"Mom! Grandpa! Sota!" (gomen ne for spelling once again) Kagome ran over to the beds.

"What happened?" Kagome was now crying like crazy. The police grabbed her by the shoulders and then pulled her away so that they could talk to her.

"What happened to them? Why are they here? What is the reason for this?" Kagome couldn't help but get angry.

"They were in a car accident. Apparently the roads were still slippery from this mornings shower and they couldn't stop. They crashed into the light post."

"I have to go." Kagome had to leave. She was going to go crazy if she didn't do anything and the first thing that popped into her mind was RACE. She got on her bike and was gone faster than you can blink.

Kagome got home and as soon as she opened the door the cell phone was ringing.

"Yeah?" Kagome was practically yealling.

"Im sorry Miss Higuraishi. Your family… has passed away."

Kagome couldn't believe this. She didn't even get to say goodbye. She felt like her heart was just ripped out of her throat and then stampeded on. She started crying even more fiercely. She ran out the door and was on her bike once again but this time she wasn't going to stop. She was going to try and get as far away from everything as possible.

Kagome was driving down the countryside road on a mountain doing willies the whole way down. She passed by a car that was in a clearing and then went even faster.

`Wait. Wasn't that Kagome's bike?' It was Inu Yasha's car in the clearing. HE got in his car and went in the direction in which he saw Kagome headed. HE suddenly heard a crash.

`Please don't let it be her. Please don't let it be her.' He kept repeating this to himself until he got there. He got out of his car. There was a fire around a small area of trees. He took off his jacket and tried to go through the fire towards what looked like a body lying there unconscious. He rushed over towards the body. Whoever it was had a helmet so he couldn't tell who it was but he still took the body in his arms dragging it out of the fire. He took the helmet off and to his worse fears there was Kagome unconscious in his arms. She opened her eyes into slits and then whispered something that couldn't be heard through the roaring fire.

"Inu Yasha?" Kagome whispered as he hugged her limp body. That was all Kagome said and did before she went unconscious in his arms.
