Sesshomaru looked on as Naraku was pulled into the deep void, along with the monk and the slayer. “An interesting development.” He glanced over at his half-brother, seemingly shocked by what had just occurred. Kagome, the nisou, had slumped to the ground, crying for her lost friends. Kagura was staring into space, most likely wondering if this was truly real. Then, he scanned the horizon for Mika. “No sign of that bitch. Hmm. Perhaps she, too, was sucked in by that endless void. Just as well.” “Hah! Don't get your hopes up, Sesshy!” Sesshomaru looked above him to see Mika perched upon one of the few trees left intact. “Die, little brother! Feral strike!” But, this time around, Sesshomaru was too quick for her. Mika jumped down from the tree and took her battle stance. Suddenly, Kagura snapped back into reality. “Oh, well. Might as well finish what I started.” Kagura now stood next to Sesshomaru, both facing the female hanyou. “Uh-oh. Two against one, huh? This is a little more than I bargained for. Let's even up the odds a bit.” “Inuyasha! Kagome! I could really use some help right about now!” Inuyasha's ears twitched and he turned towards Mika and saw the trouble she was in. “Come on, Kagome! Snap out of it!” But Kagome was still dead to the world, completely lost in the fact that two of her best friends were now dead. Inuyasha growled and raced over to Mika. “Sorry to keep you waiting, Kagura.” “Ahh, Inuyasha. Finally, I face a formidable opponent, as opposed to this bitch here.” “Hey, don't call me a bitch, you slut.” “Don't call me a slut, you whore!” Sesshomaru and Inuyasha sighed. Finally, the youkai lord spoke. “Enough of this foolish bickering. Draw your weapons and prepare for the last battle you'll ever fight.” Inuyasha smirked. “For once, we agree on something. Come on, I'll take you on.” As he raised Tetsuiga to strike, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head slightly to see Mika behind him. “I don't think so Inuyasha, I've been waiting well over fifty years for my revenge. You take Kagura. I get the drag queen.” (A/N: Sorry loyal Sesshy fans, I had to say it. Don't kill me!) “Fine with me.”

 

The battle had just begun. Sesshomaru knew not of Mika's secret weapon, but he would find out soon enough. “Howling slash!” The gust sent Sesshomaru backward and tore through his clothing. Bloody scratches now visible, Mika could tell she was winning. “Is that all, hanyou? Pity. I thought you were much stronger than that.” Sesshomaru leapt forward and raked his claws across Mika's back. Mika cried out in pain. “You... you think that will stop me? Your poison isn't as strong when I'm in this form. Try again, Sesshy.” Meanwhile, Kagura and Inuyasha were fighting as well. Inuyasha had heard Mika's cry, but knew she would be alright. “Come on, Kagura. Is that all you got? I mean, if you can kill a whole tribe of ookami youkai (wolf demons), can't you kill a measly inu-hanyou?” “Hah. Insolent dog. You'll pay for calling me weak! Dance of the Dragon!” Inuyasha swiftly dodged the cyclones, just as Mika had earlier. Suddenly, he noticed one heading Mika's way. “Mika, look out!” Mika turned and dove to the ground, narrowly avoiding the twister. Now, from ground level, she saw yet another twister heading for Kagome. “Kagome! Inuyasha, Kagome's in trouble.” Kagome was still in a trance, unable to move. “Kagome, move outta the way!” Inuyasha called, leaping towards the nisou. Swiftly, he raced to push Kagome out of the cyclones path, but he wasn't quick enough. The twister hit Kagome with full force, knocking her backwards. “Kagome!” Inuyasha cried. He raced over, but found his path blocked by Kagura. “I'll take her. Kanna, come now. Beside them, a young girl with a mirror appeared. “Yes, Kagura,” she droned Suddenly, they disappeared in a whirl of pink wind. “Kagome!” Inuyasha yelled again. Now, he turned his attention to Mika's battle. Mika's hand was near her udewa, claws ready to cut it off and use her special attack. “Now, Sesshomaru, you die.” She slashed the string and caught the udewa in her other hand. She gripped it tightly and called out her attack. “Heptagonal crystal blast!” But, nothing happened. “What the hell? Why isn't it working???”
