Mika's hand grasped the hilt of her Kataki tightly. “What attack should I use Inuyasha?” “I dunno. Something that won't kill us if it's sent back.” Mika gulped. She didn't want to get hurt, but she knew she had to try to break the door down. “Kami, be with me.” “Crystal Hex!” The katana flew forward and attempted to crash through the door. Instead, it merely pierced the wood, becoming lodged into it. The others looked to Mika in confusion, not realizing she was just as confused as they. “Um, well, at least it broke the spell. It could've been hurled back at us.” Slowly, Inuyasha walked up to the door and grabbed the end of the katana. Slowly, he felt a burning sensation creep through his hand and up his arm. “OW!” he cried out, letting go of the katana. “That crappy thing burned me!” Mika frowned, trying to discover what went wrong. She, herself, walked up the katana and grabbed the hilt. Swiftly, she pulled it out of the wooden door and put it back in its scabbard. “I guess I'm the only one who can hold the sword. That's good to know, huh?” Inuyasha merely grumbled and tried to push the door open. To his amazement, it swung open easily, revealing a large room. All gasped in amazement at its size. The room held a throne and various torture devices. One wall was covered in spikes. It was on this wall that a prisoner hung, spikes digging into their back. The group stepped into the large room, getting a closer look at the prisoner. Mika gasped in utter shock as she saw the prisoner's face. “Inuyasha! The prisoner is Kagome!”
The raven-haired girl tilted her head slightly. Her uniform was soaked with blood, both dried and new. Her face was pale and gaunt, as though she was quite malnourished. It was evident she was in horrific pain. “Inu…yasha?” she asked, her voice thin and raspy. “Kagome,” he whispered. Mika covered Shippo's eyes, not wishing for him to see his `mother' in such pain. Kagome tried to move, but she was too weak from loss of blood. “Inuyasha, please… leave.” Inuyasha was taken aback. “No, Kagome! I won't leave you here with Kagura.” “It's… it's a…trap. You… must leave before-” Kagome then cried out in pain as Kagura appeared, slapping Kagome's face. “Foolish girl! Do not disobey me! You know the punishment for betrayal, do you not?” “Yes, Mistress Kagura.” “Mistress?” Inuyasha and Mika whispered, looking at one another. “So, hanyou, I see you made it past my traps. Very impressive, but I'm not finished yet. Why don't you try fighting this?” Kagura flicked open her fan and pointed it toward Kagome. “Mind Control!” A purple wave shot out from the fan and at Kagome. Suddenly, Kagome's eye became blank and emotionless. Kagura freed her from her chains and commanded, “Go. Destroy the hanyou!” She handed Kagome a katana and the nisou walked towards them. “Kagome, what the hell are you doing?” Inuyasha asked stepping towards her. Kagome swung the katana at him, nearly striking him. “That's not Kagome, Inuyasha! Kagura's put some kind of spell over her. We have no choice, we've got to fight.” “But, I can't hurt her. Look how weak she is already.” “Forget about that right now! Inuyasha, I know this might sound strange, but trust me. The only way to save Kagome is to stop her!”
Kagome, still under Kagura's spell, began swinging her katana at Mika. The female hanyou swiftly dodged each blow. “At least she isn't using her nisou powers.” Suddenly, a pink light surrounded the katana. “Aw, man. Damn it, why am I always wrong?” Kagome used her power and moved the katana forward, thrusting it straight towards Mika's chest. “What the hell? She can imitate my Crystal Hex? Shit, this is bad.” “Um, Inuyasha, we have a problem,” she called still dodging the imitation Hex. “What?” Inuyasha asked, now attempting to assist Mika. “She can imitate our moves, or at least my moves. Look.” Mika again dodged the katana as it was thrust at her. “It's pretty weak, though. I think I know how we can stop it.”
