Mika smiled slyly as Inuyasha ran towards her, Tetsuiga drawn. “Mika! I don't wanna do this, but I have to free you from Naraku's spell.” “I…Inuyasha?” Inuyasha tried to reach her again, but he was blocked out completely. He looked at the necklace and knew that was what Naraku controlled her with. “I'm sorry, Mika! Wind scar!” Mika laughed and vanished from sight as the attack hit. “What the hell?” “Up here.” Inuyasha looked above him and saw Mika clinging to a rope on the ceiling. “My reflexes are much quicker in my youkai form. It's a wonderful feeling, Inuyasha.” Inuyasha snarled at Naraku, who stood nearby watching. Mika unsheathed her Kataki and leapt down towards Inuyasha. “Now you die!” Inuyasha darted quickly to his left, narrowly avoiding Mika's sword. Mika turned and faced him. “You love her, the mortal girl. You love Kagome, not me.” Inuyasha shook his head and replied. “No, Mika, I did love Kagome. I love you now. I never gave Kagome a mark, never gave myself, my soul, to her. I gave that to you, Mika.” Mika ignored the male hanyou and scoffed. “What you say matters not. You still die!” Mika raised Kataki and shouted, “Dark Hex!” The now crimson sword thrust forward and into Inuyasha's arm. As Sango rushed forward to help, Inuyasha cried, “No! This is my fight, not yours. I'll save Mika and I'll do it alone.” Inuyasha pulled the sword form his arm and tossed it to the ground. “Why don't you come over here and retrieve it, Mika?” Mika smiled slyly and said, “I have a better idea. Kataki!” The sword flew up and back to Mika's outstretched hand. “Shit, forgot about that move! Now what? She still has her Strike of Vengeance move, which is probably Dark something-or-other now. How can I get that necklace off of her?” Slowly, a smiled formed on Inuyasha's lips. “She may be under Naraku's spell, but she's still my mate. And I think that might just give me the advantage.”
Mika stood there, annoyed that Inuyasha was currently ignoring her. Slowly, Inuyasha turned to face her, a smile on his lips. Mika's face automatically changed to match her hair. “No! I must fight this human emotion. I am a youkai now, not a damn hanyou!” Inuyasha came towards her and took her sword away. He threw it behind her and, before she could turn to see where it landed, pulled her into his arms. “Mika,” he whispered seductively into her ear. The feel of his hot breath on her skin made her shudder. Slowly, he traced her mark with his finger. “You're mine, Mika, forever.” Not waiting for a response, he crashed his lips against hers into a warm kiss. Mika's face turned even deeper shades of red and she attempted to push him away. Inuyasha only held her tighter and deepened the kiss. He then slinked his hand up her neck and yanked off her necklace. Mika sighed and blinked twice. Inuyasha pulled away and looked at his mate. Her eyes had returned to a deep cobalt and her hair, it usual violet. Her kimono was pink once more, but not nearly as worn. “At least one good thing came from that spell,” Inuyasha thought. “And the kiss, don't forget that, Inuyasha.” Inuyasha turned and glared at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru simply winked. Mika turned and called back her Kataki, then turned to face Naraku. “You used me and tried to hurt my mate! You'll pay, Naraku! Strike of Vengeance!” Kataki split and launched itself at the evil hanyou. “Kanna, now!” In a flash, Naraku and Kanna were gone, a deadly miasma left in their wake. The three separate katana stopped in midair and joined back together, returning to their master. “Come on, let's get out of here!” Inuyasha called, grabbing Mika's waist. Mika smiled and clutched him tightly. Safely out of the castle, the group leapt atop Kirara and headed back towards the cave. “So, what do we do now, Inuyasha?” Miroku asked. “For now, monk, we rest.” Mika smiled and hugged Inuyasha tightly. “Thank you for saving me.” “Thanks for not chopping me to bits.” Mika smiled brighter and kissed Inuyasha square on the lips for all to see. “I love you, Inuyasha, ya know that?” “I had a feeling.”
