Summary: Inuyasha and Kagome are in high school together, the perfect relationship ever. Inuyasha gets an offer to study at the best school in the world, literally. Kagome wishes him the best of luck and promises to await his return. After a month Inuyasha moves without telling her, leaving her with a secret. Four Years later he returns with a fiancé. How will she react? Will she tell him her secret? Or will he be kept in the dark about his own son?

A few years passed and somehow she managed to keep them both happy. Her son was now a little over four and acted a little too much like his dad. She was now driving with her son in listening as he sang along to his favorite kiddie cd. Miroku wouldn't tell her or Sango what they were doing going over to his house, but they agreed none the less. Kagome pulled in and got her son out of his car seat and carried him inside taking his bag of toys with her. She rang the door bell and waited for the few seconds it took him to come to the door.

“HEY!” He answered. Ushering them into the house that had a few of his other friends there. “There's my nephew.” He said taking Kin from Kagome and holding him on his hip. Though Sango was not her sister, or Miroku her brother, she dubbed them both Aunt and Uncle.

“Okey.” He answered hugging his uncle. “Can I see Sashie?” He asked cutely.

Miroku took his hand ruffling through his hair.

“You mean Sasha? Sure. Lets go little guy.” He said carrying him into the back somewhere to play with his small dog. They loved each other. Kin and Sasha bonded immediately. Kagome went around and greeted a few others earning glares. Most of them considered her a disgrace and a slut. Still she tried making a situation better. Most of them enjoyed talking to Sango. Kagome went off and sat down in a chair in the back room watching her son play with the dog. He laughed and smiled as he played ball with Sasha. She could hear everyone shout and cheer. `Guest of Honor.' She thought as she got up and walked out casting a glance back at her son before shutting the door slightly. She walked down the hall where she could see everyone gathering around someone. She rounded the corner to find their obsession. It was him. She stood there watching as the many men and women hugged him and told him how glad they were he was back. She smiled slightly to see him again. Inuyasha looked up and his eyes locked with hers again. He walked over to her and smiled slightly extending his hand.

“Nice to see you again Kagome.” She smiled.

“You too Yash.” She said sadly as their hands left one another.

“How are you?”

“I'm good… Yourself.” She asked awkwardly.

“Good.” He said leaving them in scilence.

“So how did college go?” She asked trying to break it.

“Good. I graduated with good grades… how about you.” Kagome flicked her hair and looked at her feet.

“Umm, I dropped out after a year.” Kagome sighed.

“Oh I see.” He said, he had heard rumors she was pregnant but he never believed them.

“Ok guys listen up.” Miroku announced. Kagome and Inuyasha turned to face him. “I'm sure we are all happy to see Inuyasha back here, but the true reason we have to celebrate is in fact his engagement.” Kagome's world crashed around her as she gasped. She held her breath as several people crowded around them asking a million questions. Someone pushed Kagome and she fell into Inuyasha. She clutched his shirt at his chest looking up to meet his eyes. They stayed locked for a few seconds before being interrupted.

“Hey whore get your sluty hand's off him, trying to steal another woman's man gosh. I thought you would have stopped that shit after Kin.” One of the girls she had known in College said yanking her off and back. Kagome turned and walked swiftly out Inuyasha's eyes following her. He didn't miss the glare from Sango as she also left. “Sorry Inu you gotta watch yourself around her. Apparently she just loves to fuck guys a little too much.” The same girl said. Inuyasha nodded and went on answering questions. He couldn't get the one question out of his mind. `What was Kagome hiding from him?'

Kagome packed up his stuff despite his whining along with Sango.

“Kagome, you need to tell him. He's here now its your chance.” Sango said as her friend tried to hide how upset she was.

“No, you heard Miroku, he's engaged. He's happy. I'm not just going to waltz up to him and say `Hey Yash, guess what you have a son'.” She said folding a blanket and putting it in the bag.

“Is that my daddy?” Kin asked tugging on Sango's pants.

“Yes, Your dad's name is Yash.” Sango sighed picking him up.

“Can I meet him?” He asked excited.

“No. You're father isn't here anymore. He left.” Kagome said taking her son.

“Kagome, you know that's not true! You need to tell him!” Sango yelled.

“Sango just stop. I don't want him to be with me out of pity or feeling of duty. He will be gone soon. We can make it till then.” Kagome said and opened the door and found Miroku standing there looking at her. “Miroku?” She gasped. He backed her into the room and closed the door. Kagome put down Kin and set down the bag. She looked back at him.

“Why didn't either of you tell me?” He asked looking from Kagome to Sango and back.

“Because we didn't need Inuyasha finding out when he so clearly walked out of my life.” Kagome growled.

“He's still a dad and he needs to be made aware of it.” He argued.

“I tried, besides, hes not mine anymore. Hes engaged.” She replied softly.

“So, hes still the father and he should have the right to know.”

“Lets get something straight, I didn't not make an attempt to tell him. He Left me.”

“Well I don't see why since you left him a message about the baby, oh right you didn't you choose the please call me as soon as you can method.”

“I had my reasons.” She whispered.

“What, to test him?”

“I WANTED HIM TO BE WITH ME BECAUSE HE LOVED ME NOT BECAUSE HE FELT BAD FOR ME! THAT'S ALL I EVER WANTED FROM HIM!” She yelled.“I'm leaving. If you two want to tell him fine…” She said picking up the bag and her son. “… IF he wants to talk you two know where I live.” She said and rushed out.

“Kagome!” Sango yelled after her retreating friend. “Kagome!” Kagome walked into the quiet room that glared at her as she carried her son. She pushed past the people towards the door. “KAGOME!” Sango yelled running after her. Inuyasha watched as Kagome carried the little boy right past him. ` It couldn't be. Kagome has a son?' He thought watching the girls run out.

Kagome strapped her son in as Sango walked up behind her.

“Kagome, you can't run from this. Tell him.” Sango yelled.

“No. His father died a long time ago. You or Miroku can tell him, and if he decides he wants to discuss this he can come to our house.” She said shutting the door and climbing in her seat slamming the door and backing her car out and driving off. Sango watched as her friend left. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to face Inuyasha.

“Inuyasha…” She gasped.

“Is it true? Was that her son?” He asked. Sango nodded. He cleared his throat. “When umm…”

“She found out right around the time you left and stopped calling her.” Sango said.

“Is that when she went on her little sex thrill?” He said a little annoyed.

“Where did you hear that?” Sango asked.

“Naomi.”

“Should have known. Tell Miroku I went home.” She said walking over to her car. She got in and started it rolling down the window. “By the way. Maybe you should look closer at that little boy. She knows who the father is. It was the same guy who took her virginity four years ago. Inuyasha stiffened as she drove off. He watched as she left just standing there shocked. `But I took her virginity…' he thought.

“Shocked too Inuyasha?” Miroku asked walking up behind him. “I just found out myself today.” He said softly.

“Miroku, is she saying…” He said turning to face him. He handed him a piece of paper.

“Why don't you go ask for yourself.” He said walking off. Inuyasha looked at the paper in his hands that held an address. He looked at and then took out his keys jumping in his Corvette and starting off in the same direction she left in. He arrived at the place around seven with a little help from Onstar. He parked his car and locked it looking at the paper before bounding up the stairs. He found the apartment and pulled his black leather jacket over his black Harley shirt and pushed his keys back into his jeans. He slowly knocked on the door.

Kagome heard the knock and left Kin playing in the living room with his action figures.

“Coming!” She called to the visitor. She opened the door just as Inuyasha looked up. She kept the door only slightly open.

“Hey.” He said softly as he was leaning against the frame with an arm.

“Hey.” She replied not meeting his gaze.

“Can I come in? I need to talk to you.” He asked and she nodded opening the door more and letting him in. He walked in and stood by the door way. Kagome closed and locked the door and turned to face him.

“What did you want?” She asked crossing her arms and looking down.

“I wanted to know why you didn't tell me Kagome.” He said sternly.

“Because you never called me back.”

“Well if you would have said it was something like this I would have.” He argued.

“Oh, so it had to be something like this for you to call me back Yash?” She yelled. Kin came running in.

“Mommy, is daddy here?” He asked running in. He looked up at Inuyasha as he looked at him. Here infront of him was a little boy with two small dog ears, long black hair, and clawed hands looking at him. “Are you Yash?” He asked shyly. He nodded. “Are you my daddy? Sango said my daddie name Yash.” He asked confused. Inuyasha looked at Kagome.

“Yes, Kin. This is your dad.” She said and watched as his little face lit up showing his fangs in a wide grin.

“DADDY!” He yelled and Inuyasha bent down catching him in a hug. He slowly rocked him back and fourth holding his son. `My son.' Was all he could think holding this little boy.

“Kin? Mommy and I need to talk will you give us a minute?” Inuyasha asked pulling back. The little boy nodded and skipped out of the room. Inuyasha stood up and looked at Kagome as she walked into the kitchen. He followed her there and stood by her.

“Don't feel like you need to stay, we have been fine on our own.” Kagome said as she washed the dishes.

“Kagome I have a son, I'm not just going to leave you both alone.” He replied.

“But you wouldn't stay because you wanted to. I don't think I could live with you knowing that you were forced into this. I don't know how I would get through the day wondering if you were just providing for us and having your own little affairs while I'm not around. You left me once waiting for you all alone with a kid. I don't want Kin to have to suffer the same pain I did when you left.” Kagome sighed. He looked at her watching as a tear fell down her cheek.

“Kagome, when I left I thought I was doing you good not calling you. I thought it would be easier for us to just move on, I mean come on you can't stand here and tell me you didn't date anyone.” She stopped and stood turning her head away. “You really did wait for me didn't you?” He asked softly.

“I know I was stupid.” She said shakily as she kept on doing her task.

“Why didn't you go home to your mom?” He asked.

“The day I found out I called you. A week later I called my mom. I told her about it and she told me not to call her again, that she no longer had a daughter. After that I moved in with Sango and tried to finish school lying to everyone except Sango. I told everyone that I slept with too many men to know. I didn't want anyone to give you a hard time. I lost all my friends except Sango. Eventually I moved when the rumors and verbal assaults got worse. I got this apartment and got a job at Walmart which is where I work now.” He lowered his head sadly.

“I'm sorry Kagome.”

“Its ok, me and Kin are fine as you can see so you can go ahead home and get married. We will be ok.” She said drying her hands and walking past him. He caught her wrist and pulled her to him .

“Kagome god damn it! It's not my choice. My family arranged this because I need to get married. They pushed us together which is another reason I stopped calling. I didn't know how to tell you.” She looked in his sincere eyes and could tell he wasn't lying. “Kagome I've always loved you. Please, just give me a chance. I don't want you to disappear from me again.” Kagome wiped her eyes and leaned against the counter.

“Inuyasha. You don't know how long I wanted to tell you about him. I don't want to be alone anymore.” She said falling to the ground. Inuyasha caught her and held her close as she cried.

“It's ok. I'm not going to leave you again.” He said rocking her for what seemed like hours. He scooped her up and carried the sad and drowsy girl to her bed tucking her in. She moaned as he kissed her forehead and walking out to the living room. He found his son fast asleep amongst his many toys. He chuckled taking off his jacket and throwing it on the couch. He bent down and picked up the boy carring him into his bedroom and setting him down in his bed. He placed a small worn dog under his arm as the little boy popped his thumb into his mouth as he slept. He ran his fingers through his hair and turned on the night light shutting the door leaving it open a crack. He walked down the hall and took out his cell and held it to his ear.

“Sesshomaru… Tell mom and dad wedding is off.” He said simply closing his phone and putting it back on his jacket. He walked back to her bedroom and took off his socks and shirt slipping into the bed. He didn't want to move to fast and just laid there on his side facing her lightly brushing her arm. Kagome felt him and rolled over scooting close to him, hugging him around his waist laying her head against his chest. Her movement startled him for a moment then he smiled and held her closer bringing her with him to lay on his chest as he rolled onto his back. He slowly ran his hands under her shirt and drawing circles with his thumbs on her lower back.

“Inuyasha?” Her voice brought him from his thoughts.

“Hmmm?” He asked.

“Do you regret it?” She asked softly.

“No Kagome. The only thing I would have done different is stay with you.” He said holding her closer. “Kagome?” He asked.

“Hmm?”

“Can I stay with you here for awhile? Just us. You me and Kin?” She smiled and looked up at him.

“I would like that.” Kagome said leaning up and kissing him. Memories of them flooded back. Their perfect life, would it ever be the same again?
