Writing The Perfect Ending
Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha…I only dream about owning it.
A/N I can't believe how long it took me to write this chapter. With school and everything I just never got around to it, sorry. Anyways here you go…
Chapter Two: A Meeting (so original, eh?)
-Beep-beep-beep. "What is that annoying noise," Kagome groggily asked aloud. She looked over at where the noise was coming from. `Oh it's just that damn alarm clock!' She said to herself as she hit the off button.
`Can't move, don't want to get up.' Kagome thought, still sleepy. She looked over at the clock it read, 9:35am. `Well I better get up and get ready to go to that meeting. Oh, yeah the meeting!' Kagome thought as she got up quickly, it finally dawning on her that she had to go.
Kagome walked over to her closet and grabbed a pair of khaki pants and a plain red v-neck shirt. The moving to her dresser she grabbed her underwear, bra, and socks. Kagome walking into her adjoining bathroom and turned the shower onto hot.
She set her clothes down on the floor and stripped down.
Kagome got into the shower relieved at its warmth and the soft pounding on her back, massaging all the kinks out. She got out after about fifteen minutes into the cold air. Kagome started to shiver and wrapped a towel around herself and started to dry off.
After she was completely dry she put the clothes that she had tossed onto the floor on. She then began to apply her make-up. She decided for simple once again.
Applying a light gray eye shadow and a clear lip-gloss, and mascara she was satisfied. She never put blush on, she preferred a pale complexion.
It was now 10:00am and Kagome walked downstairs, grabbed her keys and purse and left.
She had just enough time to run to a coffee shop to get something to drink and a donut. So as soon as she got to Kyoto, twenty minutes later. She pulled over at that first nice looking coffee shop and walked in.
She was greeted by the busy sight of people bustling around, all caught up in their own worlds. She walked to the end of the long line and stood waiting.
Kagome caught a glimpse of silver in the corner of her eye and turned to where she had seen it. As soon as she did she saw who it was that jackass actor, Inuyasha and apparently he was trying to pick up yet another woman.
Kagome turned away; it wasn't any of her business anyways. About fifteen minutes later Kagome happily had her Toffee Caramel Coffee ((A/N That stuff is so good*sighs*lol.) and donut and was looking for a place to sit.
When she saw Inuyasha and whomever he wanted to go out with arguing, they were sitting at a table close to where Kagome was standing. As she got closer she was finally able to hear what they were saying.
She heard the girl say, "Look I can't go out with you, I'm married and I love my husband." Inuyasha replied arrogantly, "That can be worked with, I mean ever heard of a divorce or even an affair?" Now the girl was getting angry. "Yes, I have heard of a divorce and I'm not dropping the man I love for some dumbass actor. At first I was flattered but you just don't get it!"
At this Kagome couldn't resist but to take action and help the lady out, so she innocently walked by their table and just as she was near Inuyasha she `accidentally' spilled her coffee all over his lap. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" Kagome shrieked in mock concern.
"You bitch!" Inuyasha yelled in outrage as he got up and stormed out of the little shop. As he walked out he muttered to himself, "She looked so familiar. Where have I seen her?"
By now everyone in the shop was looking their way. After about a minute of staring rudely they finally went back to their own little worlds.
Kagome turned back to the woman and the lady thanked her. "It wasn't a problem. I mean he was being such a jackass." Kagome replied. "Yes, but aren't you worried about what he might do to you?" The young women asked in concern. "Not really," Kagome answered with a smile, "I have a good lawyer." The women laughed politely.
"I really have to get going, sorry." Kagome said a little disappointed that she couldn't talk longer but if she didn't hurry she would never have time to get to the Takahashi Filming Studios, well on time.
"Thanks again." "It wasn't a problem and I thought it was pretty fun. He deserved it." Kagome replied hastily as she briskly walked out of the coffee shop. She walked over to her car happily eating her donut, without being able to wash it down with some wonderful coffee. But Kagome still figured it had good use.
It was now 10:40 and it would only take fifteen minutes to get there. Just as Kagome expected she got there about five minutes early. Miroku was waiting for her in the lobby.
`Wow, I'm shocked he got here before me. Usually he'd be late. I guess he thinks this is really important.' Kagome thought to herself. Miroku came up and greeted Kagome warmly, "Morning! How's it going my friend?"
"Just fine," Kagome replied, a little shocked at how cheerful Miroku was acting. While they were talking a man with long silver hair came up to them and greeted them, "I assume you are Kagome Higurashi?" He asked the question as he nodded towards Kagome.
"Hai(yes)" Kagome replied as she thought to herself, `He looks sort of like Inuyasha, only not. He's too serious. At least he's not as cocky.'
The man had now turned his attention to Miroku, "And I assume you are the editor I spoke to last night? Miroku, I believe was your name. Am I correct?" He asked in his monotone voice.
"Yes, I can't seem to remember yours, my sincerest apologies." Miroku responded. At this Kagome had to try extremely hard not to laugh. It shouldn't have surprised her though, Miroku always became all business when trying to sell something or when trying to get a contract or even just to make a good impression.
Even so, it always made Kagome laugh to see him like this. "It's Sesshomaru Takahashi." he replied still with his boring monotone voice. "Well now that we've been reintroduced we can start the meeting, if you would follow me please." Sesshomaru said as he started walking down one of the numerous hallways.
As they walked Kagome had remember to shut her mouth after realizing it was hanging open in awe. The building was beautifully decorated and had marble floors and extravagant painting on the wall and even a few statues along them.
After walking through the halls for about five minutes they stopped outside a boring(compared to the rest of the place) door. Sesshomaru walked in and turned the light on.
Kagome's mouth dropped open without her even caring this time. As she looked around she took in the sight of a long, maple table with comfy looking chairs and laptops at each spot. And a big screen T.V. and even sadly, a leather sofa.
The room was decorated with a few jade vases filled with white roses and more painting of beautiful landscapes. Finally Kagome gained enough composure to shut her mouth, she glanced over at Miroku who still had his mouth hanging wide open.
`I can't believe how much they must have spent on this. I'm not poor, I have a ton of money, but compared to this I look quite poor. Miroku probably feels the same way.' Kagome thought to herself. Sesshomaru began to speak, "Have a seat, go ahead and get comfortable. We could be here a while."
Kagome and Miroku went to sit down. Sesshomaru sat at the head of the table and Kagome and Miroku each sat on one side of him. This was probably going to take a long time.
"Kagome, did you have anyone in particular you wanted to play the parts of Ryu or Sakura?" Sesshomaru asked as he did something on the computer in front of him. Kagome figured he had opened Microsoft Word and was going to write some ideas down.
"Umm…no I didn't really think about it." Kagome answered as she thought to herself, `But I can sure think of one person I don't want in it.'
"Well I was thinking of Kikyo as Sakura and maybe my brother, who has starred in a few major films, as Ryu." Sesshomaru suggested.
"Yeah, that's fine. When will you start filming?" Kagome asked. "Well we'll have to write the scripts, which will go fast because it's based on your book. also we'll have to get cast and crew for the movie. I'd guess by next week for sure." Sesshomaru replied while typing some more into his laptop.
"That's fast." Miroku said with a hint of astonishment in his voice. "We have due dates that everything must be done by," Sesshomaru answered in a monotone voice.
"Oh yeah," Miroku said with a sheepish grin.
"Well Kagome if you don't have any ideas for actor or actresses then I guess we're pretty much done. I will give you a call about when we'll meet the cast. Which should be in a few days or so and we'll probably meet for lunch. We could even have the scripts done by then too," said Sesshomaru.
"Okay, I don't have any ideas for a cast, so whoever you think is fitting is fine," Kagome responded with a smile.
"Okay then, I guess we're done for now."
"Oh, yeah! Who is your brother?" Kagome asked. The response was the exact one she didn't want.
"Inuyasha."
A/n I am so sorry! I can't believe how long I took with this chapter! I feel bad but I really haven't had any free time with school and sports and just life in general, I know it's no excuse but I am sorry. I've already started chapter three and I know this one was horribly short but the other one should be longer…I hope. Anyways please review…it really makes me happy which inspires me to write faster and longer. Once again sorry. Byes
