The walk was quiet. Every footstep she made seemed like the loudest noise that was occurring. Peering down at the girl next to her, she could tell that she was scared. Kagome didn't blame her, but she herself had to stay calm and collected. She wasn't sure what was about to take place, a part of her didn't even want to know. She was confused. The man with the long white hair, Sesshomaru, had saved her from being killed. She couldn't help but wonder why. How was she of any importance to him? Would he just let her go because of her current condition, thinking she was weak and couldn't stand trial? Did he want to kill her himself? She couldn't understand why his actions took place the way they did.

Stopping at a door, the demon who was leading them there turned around to face the girls. His eyes were a bright blue which contrasted with his fire red hair. It somehow worked for him, though. He seemed to be one of the weaker demons, low on the totem pole. She could see why, he seemed scrawny. But she couldn't judge too much, she was captured by a rat demon that she thought was small and scrawny, too. There was a reason that rat demon was a human chaser, though, he was strong. This demon that stood in front of her only had to watched caged humans- he was probably really weak.

"Get inside." the demon opened the door, exposing a black room. The only details that were exposed were from the light of the hallways poorly illuminating part of it. The carpet seemed to be a brown color. There was a silhouette of some furniture beyond that point, but she couldn't make out the color.

As Kagome began to walk with the mute girl, she was quickly stopped from demon. "Not you. You're going somewhere else." he held his arm out to prevent the girl from entering. Just the feel of his arm pushing her back sent shocks of pain throughout her body. Her adrenaline had wore off, now being exposed to the pain she had endured from her encounter with the rat.

Not being able to protest his motions, Kagome let go of the girl's hand. She was too exhausted to fight just then. Studying her door, Kagome took notes on what it looked like so when she escaped she'd know what to look for. The door was a plain brown, but the darker brown etched design in the door made it easy to remember. It reminded her of her tree house door. The red frame around the door made it that much easier to remember.

Once the reluctant girl was inside the dark room, the demon closed and locked the door. Kagome felt bad, but knew she couldn't do anything for her right now. Letting out a sigh, she returned to follow the demon.

His long strides were hard to keep up with. With aching legs, Kagome knew she had to keep up or something bad might happen to her. Maybe she'd be beaten again. She didn't want to do anything to prolong her escape. If that meant cooperating with this man, then she'd have to do it.

Walking down hallway after hallway, Kagome made sure she remembered which directions she took. 'Left. Right. Straight for three rooms, then take a right. Right at the end of the hall. Left after one room.' her thoughts repeated. It wasn't hard work since this was an easier example of how she remembered her way around her forest home. Two directions versus a ton of trees that looked the same. 'So much easier.' After making a final left turn, they finally stopped in front of another door.

This was seemed the polar opposite of the one the small girl was kept in. This door was brightly colored blue with a white frame around it. Even the hallway that the door stood in was different. 'Why is this less gloomy?' Kagome couldn't help but wonder the difference of the décor. She wasn't about to waste her time deliberating it, though.

The demon repeated his process of unlocking and opening the door to Kagome. Without saying a word to her, he only cocked his neck in the direction of the door, signaling for her to step in. Hesitant, Kagome walked into the dark room. She watched as the light from the door became dark once more. When she was left in the dark, she waited to move until she heard the click of the lock.

When the sound of the door locking echoed through the silent room, Kagome turned around and touched the door. She went to her left and began to hug the wall, searching for a light switch. When she didn't find it, she changed directions, trying the right side for the switch. She was successful.

As her eyes adjusted from the little time she was in the dark, she turned around to face the room. The walls were a dark shade of purple while the carpet remained a bright white. After taking in the walls and floors, Kagome looked up at the ceiling. It was black. You could barely see where the black met the purple in the corner of the walls since their shading seemed so close. It made the room feel small. Taking her eyes from the walls, she looked at the furniture. The bed that resided against the middle of the back wall was a four pillared cherry wood bed. The etched wooden designs were elegant and perfectly symmetrical to one another. The dresser that was against the right wall was also cherry wood, no etched designs. There was a mirror that was right above the dresser, exposing an object on the left side of the room. Looking the opposite direction, she found a small maroon couch with a cherry wood coffee table in front of it. The room was simple, but beautiful.

Walking towards the bed, Kagome placed herself on it, laying down in the process. The feeling of comfort wrapping around her sore body felt amazing. A deep breath was taken in as she closed her eyes. Letting the breath out after a couple of seconds, Kagome could tell her body was exhausted. She knew she needed sleep to gain energy, knowing now would be the best time. She had no idea when someone would enter her room. Not wanting to take that chance, she viewed this as her only alone time. It wasn't long until she could feel her thoughts slipping away. She would make escape plans when she re-entered the physical world. For now, she was going into her dreams.
