"You better take me back to Inuyasha! Hey are you listening to me?" Kagome shouted in Sesshomaru's ear while trying to wrench her wrist out of his grasp. "Why did you kidnap me? What are you scheming? What ever it is it won't work! Let me go!"

"For gods sake woman shut up!" Sesshomaru threw Kagome to the ground the second they landed. "Your pretty bold for a human." He sneered as he grabbed Kagome and tied her to a near by tree. "There now you won't run away!"

"What do you want with me?!" Kagome shouted even louder anger rising in her every vein. She struggled against her restraints to no avail. "Well?! What are you planning?!"

Sesshomaru just looked at her for a moment then started to walk away.

"Hey wait where are you going?! You can't just leave me here!" Kagome screamed at Sesshomaru's back.

"I'll leave you in Jaken's care. No other youkai will harm you." Sesshomaru then disappeared into the densely wooded forest.

"Oh my, now that Jaken is my protector nothing can harm me!" Kagome shouted sarcastically.

"I'd be quite if I were you girl." Jaken stood in front of her looking a little peeved "I don't take kindly to noisy people."

"And I don't take kindly to stupid imps!" Kagome retorted.

"What did you say woman?"

~*~ that evening~*~

Sesshomaru returned to an interesting sight. Kagome had a cloth wrapped around her mouth and Jaken had a few lumps on his head as well as sporting a black eye. Kagome looked up when Sesshomaru walked into the campsite, she noticed right away that he had that little girl Rin with him this time. "So it seems that you had a little trouble handling this situation hmm Jaken." Sesshomaru said in his usual emotionless tone.

"Sesshomaru-Samma, why do you have that girl tied up to that tree huh? Why?" Rin looked up at Sesshomaru with inquisitive eyes.

Kagome was surprised to see Sesshomaru's expression change to that of a softer more HUMAN like form of kindness. "Because I am going to use her as a lure to bring Inuyasha here so I can finally rid myself of such a disgraceful member of my proud family."

"Nani!?" Kagome shouted through the cloth. She mumbled incoherently through the cloth, then gave up when she realized that no one could understand her. Sesshomaru walked up to her and pulled the cloth out of her mouth.

"As long as you don't scream or talk to any of us you don't have to have that cloth in your mouth."

Kagome stared at Sesshomaru, "It's amazing! It's almost like he's being nice to me! No that couldn't be the case." Kagome mentally slapped herself when she remembered the person she was thinking of. "If I didn't know better I'd say that Sesshomaru was more stubborn and impulsive then Inuyasha, Koga, and my little brother Sota combined! But he isn't acting like it now. Does he just act like that to intimidate rivals? Does he actual have a nice side to him? I can't believe that for a second!"

"What are you staring at GIRL?" Sesshomaru snapped as he sat himself down to watch Rin give Jaken a really hard time. Kagome glared at him then turned her head away. "I was wrong!" She snapped, taking Sesshomaru by surprise.

~*~In another part of the woods~*~

Inuyasha and Koga both had their noses planted to the ground trying to find a trace of Kagome's or Sesshomaru's sent.

"With these two around who needs bloodhounds?" Shippou laughed and looked up at Sango. Two fists hit him leaving large bumps on the top of his head.

"We're having a hard enough time without your wise cracks brat!" Inuyasha cracked his knuckles.

"Yeah we need to find my Mate-to-be." Koga snapped glaring at the child fox youkai.

"Who ever said Kagome was your mate WOLF?" Inuyasha clenched his fists.

"Well I did and when I say someone is going to be My mate that is the end of the subject DOG!"

"What do you mean the end of the subject and how the hell do you even know if Kagome wants to be your mate huh?"

"Well for one thing I am handsome and brave and I know for a fact that Kagome adores me!" Sango, Miroku, and Shippou sweat dropped at his boastful comment.

"Where do you get that from?!" Inuyasha yelled trying not to loose the verbal battle.

"She always smiles brightly when I come to her!"

"She does that so she won't hurt your feelings you flee bitten mongrel! Plus she smiles in relief when you leave!"

"What! Are you saying that My Kagome doesn't love me like I love her?! That is ridiculous of course she loves me! Besides you're just saying that because you want Kagome all to your self!"

Before Inuyasha could continue Miroku interrupted "While you two Morons fight Kagome-Samma is probably being taken farther and farther away form us! So put your damn noses to the ground and hurry up!"

Inuyasha and Koga were taken aback at the monks out burst and immediately forgot their fight.

~*~back to Kagome and her little situation~*~

Kagome watched hungrily as Sesshomaru roasted up some fish that he had caught for Rin. "Man those look so good, and then smell even better!" Kagome sighed heavily as her stomach growled at her.

"Sesshomaru-Samma, can't you cut her loose so she can eat? Even just for a little while? I promise she won't run away!" Rin pleaded with him. She the turned to Kagome "You won't run away huh?" Kagome nodded vigorously "See Sesshomaru-Samma she won't so please cut her loose!"

Sesshomaru sighed and slashed lazily at the ropes that bound Kagome to the tree. She felt the ropes loosen the fall to the ground. "Thank the gods! Bless you child!" she smiled at Rin, who handed her a roasted fish. "Arigato!" Kagome practically inhaled the fish she was given. Rin stared at her while she ate her fish.

"This girl seems really nice maybe Sesshomaru-Samma will keep her around!" Rin found herself thinking of what it would be like to have Kagome staying with her for company, forever and always.

"What's your name?" Rin piped looking at Kagome her chocolate eyes staring into Kagome's bluish gray ones.

"I'm Kagome." Kagome replied a little surprised at the little girls question.

"That's a nice name I like it a lot!" Rin smiled then finished her fish. Kagome looked at the little girl. She was a little thing probably no older then Sota but she was really dirty! "Her Kimono needs washing and her face is covered in dirt!" Rin noticed that Kagome was staring at her.

"What's the matter Kagome-Samma?" She asked innocently as she popped the last of her fish in her mouth.

"I.. nothing.. really." Kagome replied awkwardly. "Well you look like you really need a bath." Kagome decided just to get to the point. Sesshomaru looked at her with a raised eyebrow, then shifted his gaze upon Rin whom he finally noticed was absolutely filthy.

"A bath?! Wow!" Rin squealed with delight as she jumped up and grabbed Kagome by the hand, "Lets go right now!"

"But!" Kagome didn't mean for this to happen plus she wasn't at all comfortable with the thought of Sesshomaru hanging around. "I don't think tonight would be the best time for it! Maybe tomorrow or the day after!"

Rin nodded in disappointment then settled herself in Kagome's lap. The two were soon fast asleep even though Kagome was determined not to go to sleep out of fear of Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at the two sleeping soundly. "Interesting creatures aren't they Jaken?"

"Depends on what you mean by interesting!" Jaken snorted.

"I think that its strange for them to sleep so comfortably even though there are demons sitting not but a few feet away from them."

"Stupid I think" Jaken said ending the conversation by walking off.

~*~back to Inuyasha and the gang~*~

"Crap it looks like we're going to have to stop here for the night!" Inuyasha slammed his fist into a near by tree. "Why does this have to happen to me?! Out of all the bad Karma mine has to be the worst!"

"You can say that again."

"Shut up Shippou!"

"Again this is not the time or the place to pick these meaningless fights, so both of you just stop it and go to sleep." Sango said impatiently.

"Fine!" Inuyasha snapped. "I just hope Kagome is alright and that that bitch of a brother of mine doesn't hurt her in any way! I'll kill him if he hurts the woman I love! Did I just say that I loved her?! Gods! Do I really love Kagome? I do, that's why I get so mad when Koga try's to claim her! That's also the reason why I don't want to rest until I know t that she's safe! I wonder if she feels the same about me? No if she's anything like Kikyou she doesn't like me because I'm a hanyou! No Kagome is nothing like Kikyou! I may have loved Kikyou but I didn't trust her as I do Kagome. Kagome...." his thoughts trailed off as he fell into an uneasy sleep.

Koga sat beneath a tall tree and mentally beet himself up for letting Sesshomaru take Kagome away from him like that. "I will get my revenge!" He whispered and went to sleep thinking of how he'd rip Sesshomaru apart.

~*~the next morning~*~

Kagome awoke to find herself tied to the tree again and she heard Rin crying Kagome looked up to see a huge amount of bandits in the campsite. "Where's Sesshomaru? What happened?" One of the bandits noticed that she was awake and he nudged on of his companions in the ribs, both men got up and walked over to where Kagome was currently tied up.

"Hey Junpei it looks like the woman is waking up!" He smiled widely showing off a few missing and rotten teeth. Junpei put her chin in his palm and looked her in the face. "She's a real beauty isn't she Kenji? We could have a lot of fun with her!" Both me went into a fit of laughter and didn't notice when one of them dropped a small but sharp dagger. Kagome on the other hand took this as an opportunity to snatch up the knife and hide it behind her back, she then sank her teeth into the mans hand only to be slapped heavily in the face. "You want to know what we did with that youkai friend of your'? We had a Buddhist priest plant sutras all over him and all the evil is slowly being sucked out of him soon he will be dead! Look over there!" Kagome looked to were the man was indicating and gasped. "I find it so unlikely for Sesshomaru to let his guard down!" Kagome watched as the men walked back to the group. "what do I do?!" Kagome looked around desperately for some type of weapon. Then her she caught a glimpse of a bow and arrows sitting a foot away form her! "That's it!" Kagome then started to saw off the new ropes that bound her to that infernal tree. "If I can get loose I can remove that sutra from Sesshomaru and then I can get the hell out of here!"
