Invader Zim

Setting the Stage

The next few days Dib rarely got to see his beloved but he knew he had to stay in the cloistral chamber he wasn’t happy about being stuck on the ship but he couldn’t leave things as they were either. He was just starting to begin to understand the invaders who came to the cloistral chamber to speak with them even Purple showed up a few times one such time was now.

“So what you’re saying is every hyuman can make these hyuman-worm babies?” Purple asked dumbfounded.

“Yeah,” Dib replied. “Every male and female can reproduce you just need a female and male together to make a baby.”

“Wow, no wonder why there are so many hyumans,” Purple replied. He was currently sitting in his open suit while speaking with Dib. In one hand he had his favorite snack and the other had his favorite drink. Dib had no idea when purple had decided to become his friend but it just happened one day an unspoken friendship had bloomed when they started to talk about technology and snacks. Dib chuckled as Purple took a long slurp of his drink. “And GIR is still working?”

“Somehow,” Dib replied. Purple looked as though he felt guilty for a moment.

“Look I don’t say this too often but your not half bad for a.. Hyuman-worm... thing...” Purple said.

“Human being,” Dib corrected.

“Whatever, I’m just saying your not half bad,” Purple replied. “I still want you to leave and take Zim with you, don’t get me wrong.”

“Understood,” Dib replied with a chuckle. “I suppose for an Irken you aren't half bad either.”

“Huh, well I gotta get back to work,” Purple replied closing up the suit and taking his leave.

“See you later,” Dib replied, standing up to see the other off. He would definitely not miss that guy, well maybe he would just a little. It was a little underwhelming that while Zim dealt with all the meetings he had to sit in the cloistral chamber he just hoped they would get some quality time together. He had been thinking about a few names for their children and hoped Zim would like them too but he had no idea if she would. He sat back in his chair and watched his tiny little half-smeet children as the many handmaidens cared for them. Some could already hold their hears up, he was absolutely amazed at such antics. Their first born was already crawling about like it was nothing special he imagined it would take that one long to start walking.

“Braitak,” the voice behind him spoke surprising him. He spun around to see his beloved Irken queen had snuck up behind him. Dib grinned at her and pulled her down into his lap, she still showed no sign of getting tired which endeared her to him even more. He hadn’t ever seen the Irken sleep until just after the aparent transformation but now she seemed perfectly fine and only slept when she wanted to. It also reminded him how alien she truly is.

“Why Braitak?” he asked.

“For strength, Braitak is a strong name for a leader,” Zim replied obviously annoyed. She had started to use her original name more often as of late since she had learned the actual origins. And because she had decided to fight the other female. No more would Irken Queens be slaves to the system.

“Rough day?” he asked.

“Ugh that Tallest Sera has been at my heels this whole time, she takes no breaks and continues to fight me, on a full rally of the Irken masses,” Zim complained. “She doesn’t want them to know of their Queen.”

“Still you are sure you want to go through with it?”

“Of course I do,” Zim replied angrily. “I won’t let her win this...” Dib’s face fell he knew that Zim couldn’t stand losing but was taking over the entire Irken Empire really what she wanted to do? Zim looked at him suddenly and her expression softened. “It will be temporary until we find another solution..” Zim replied kissing him lightly.

“You say that but...” Dib frowned before changing the subject. “So Braitak what about or second born daughter?”

“Mmm...” Zim seemed to be truly thinking about a name but obviously wasn’t prepared to answer such an off-the-wall question.

“How about Teal’c” Gaz’s voice rose from opposite side of the room. Zim smiled as Gaz joined them, it was nice to know she was there for them and wanted to help name the little bundles of joy. Dib was especially grateful if not for Gaz he would have been captured already and placed in some dungeon somewhere. Dib and Zim looked at each other before nodding.

“Teal’c will be perfect,” Dib replied. “So Braitak, Teal’c and Zeb...”

“Keel would be a good name,” Zim spoke up as she was handed their fourth born.

“Keel?” Dib asked. “Fine but the last boy is going to be named Worf.”

“Very well,” Zim replied. “Our fifth born should be Leela.” Dib smiled he liked that name too.

“And how about Terra for our sixth?” Dib suggested.

“Yes,” Zim grinned. “She shall strike terror into the hearts of many.” Dib chuckled at this of course only Zim would draw such a conclusion. After much thought and deliberation they came up with the remaining names. Jemma for their seventh girl and Zanna and Zeera for their nearly identical twins both which were born last.

“We definitely have our hands full,” Dib replied as he watched Zim going around tucking each tuckered child into their pod-like cribs. The handmaidens meeped a bit to each other their language seemed so much less apparent than any other Irken and their vocabulary was more about show of emotion and hand movements combined with the one word they used so often. Somehow Zim understood it all but he doubted even she knew why she understood them. An invader walked in and briefly spoke with Gaz, Dib wasn’t sure what the Invader passed to her but he left in such a rush afterward. Gaz appeared confused as well, it seemed that same invader had been coming in more often than anyone else just to see Gaz. “Who was that?” Dib asked as he approached her.

“Just some Zooter Irken that spotted me in the library,” Gaz replied.

“You went to the library?” Dib asked. “Wait they actually have a library?”

“Yeah it’s pretty dead in there not a lot of Irkens go there except that zooter,” Gaz replied.

“What’s a zooter exactly?” Dib asked.

“No idea it’s the job he was given I guess, since he can’t be an invader,” Gaz replied digging her nose deeper into the book. Dib took the hint and decided to go ask his love if she knew.

“Zim, what is a zooter?” Dib asked her as she finished tucking the last of their half-smeets into bed. She stopped humming her lullaby and peered at Dib.

“Zooters are the potential mates of a queen, if they don’t mate, they perish,” Zim replied. Dib looked at his sister only to catch her surprised look, he was going to ask her a question but she suddenly got up and left out the back of the cloistral chamber. He wanted to follow to find out what was going on but decided against it. If he were to be captured their hopes of going home would never come to be.

Gaz rushed down the hallway to the library, she had no idea he only had a limited time to live, he never told her. All he did was continue to bring her gifts, very pretty gifts too. And she appreciated the time he spent with her in the library just reading together in silence. He had been almost a better friend than Zim if that was even possible. And she find out he was to die? There had to be something they could do, right? Her thoughts floated around what Zim said earlier, if he didn’t mate he would die. She shook her head, he was a friend she couldn’t… she wouldn’t…. would she? Gaz growled and stomped into the library, she quieted her steps as she entered being mindful of the quiet space. It wasn’t long before she found him reading in the same corner they always read at.

“Why didn’t you tell me you don’t have long to live?” Gaz asked. He looked up in surprise and blushed, a small sad smile found it’s way onto his face.

“So you found out,” He sighed. “I was hoping you wouldn’t have to find out. It’s no big deal, I’ve made my peace with it, besides we have a few weeks left before that happens. And I would like to continue to read here with you until then” She frowned, she didn’t even know his name yet, she hadn’t even thought to ask and he hadn’t told her.

“Fine, but there’s some ground rules,” Gaz replied. “We need to do this right if we want good memories. I’m Gaz, and you are?”

“Ryak,” he replied smiling at her. Gaz smiled and sat down next to him, she didn’t want to leave him all alone in this big library, after all it was awfully lonely in here without company.

*intercept’s* hey guys another short chappie but I wanted to introduce another charrie to make it a little more interesting but honestly it will be you guys who decide if he stays. I will take a lack of comments as his queue to bow out of Gaz’s life and the next couple of chappies with be a little focused around them while Zim prepares for the final battle. If I get feedback however I might be able to figure out a way for him to stay and get to know Gaz a little better. But it is all up to you guys *evil author smile* Muahahahahahahahahaha! Also I figured we could use a bit of the zooter’s side or suitor’s side of their story it’s so sad that If they fail to mate they die off and it just makes me sooooooo sad writing about it but the next few weeks will be magical. I promise!

Love you guys hope you guys like this new charrie if not I guess I will know about it. XD vote SuitorsHaveFeelingsToo! If you want to see him stick around..
