Dawn and Darkness On Destiny Island
-Chapter Nine-
"My parents were wondering when our wedding
is going to be," Riku told Namine.
"Kairi and I are getting married a month from now,"
Sora told them. "Why don't we make it a double
wedding?"
"What do you think, Namine?" Riku asked.
"It sounds like a wonderful idea," Namine agreed.
"And we should invite Axel."
"I agree, " Riku nodded, "he saved me from Xehanort."

Axel smiled as he read the invitation. He looked out his
apartment window at the island and spotted Riku and
Namine sitting together on the paopu tree trunk, kissing
affectionately. He watched for a moment, then sat down
to write a response.
The invitation had made him very happy. Not too long ago,
he'd been a member of Organization XIII. A nobody. A being
with no heart. Now he was a warm, feeling human being with
a gentle and caring heart. He enjoyed the city and felt
particularly protective of Riku, whom he had saved from a
psychic assault at the hands of the nobody Xehanort. And
he had received an invitation to Riku's wedding.

Kairi and Namine helped each other get ready on the morning
of the wedding.
"It's almost time," Namine said, nervously. "I hope Riku likes
my gown."
"He will," Kairi assured her. "We'd better hurry or they may
decide we're not coming and elope."
They both laughed then turned as the door opened.

The wedding took place under the paopu tree with the King
performing the ceremony. Sora had dressed in a white and
gold Keyblader's uniform while Riku wore a white and silver
cloak over a white Keyblader's uniform. The cloak had been
a gift from the King who had promised to explain after the
wedding.
Kairi and Namine both wore similar gowns, sleeveless and
knee-length; Kairi's in powder blue and Namine's in pearl
white.
It was a simple ceremony, though Riku fainted halfway
through it, much to Sora's amusement.
Once Riku was revived and the wedding was over, King Mickey
pulled them aside.
"You're all invited to attend the King's coronation in two days,"
he told them.
"I thought you were the King," Sora said, a bit confused.
"I meant the King of this world," King Mickey explained. "That's
why I got you all new uniforms to wear."
"Thank you, your majesty," Riku said, his arm around Namine.
