Chapter Six: Annoying Pink-Haired Thing

Sora sighed. He had been sitting outside of Destiny Library for five days since the incident and Riku still wouldn't let him in. No matter what he did, from banging on the glass to crawling back through the air duct, Riku pretended to not see him and ignore him. It was making him really depressed and he hadn't fed in a couple of days, the three men in the alley flashing in his mind every time he thought of feeding.

“You know you can get arrested for stalking.” Sora jumped and almost fell off the ledge. “Jeez Roxas, you almost gave me a heart attack!” he said, frowning as his friend grinned at him. “Sorry Your Highness.” Roxas said in a teasing tone.

“Shut up Roxas.” “Hey, who's that?” Roxas asked, pointing at Riku. “No one.” Sora said in a saddened voice. “Well he has to be somebody if he's made you that sad. C'mon Sora, you know you can tell me.” Sora looked over at his friend.

They were almost alike, they had the same color eyes but the only difference was the hair. Roxas' hair was blonde while his was brown. “He was my friend.” “What happened?” “He caught me feeding.” “Ooh. I'm sorry Sora.” Roxas threw his arm around Sora's shoulder.

“Thanks Roxas. What are you doing here anyway? It must have been important if it dragged you from Axel.” Roxas' face turned pink. “Shut up you!” “Why? You guys are practically snogging all the time.” “S-Shut up!” Roxas said, pushing Sora lightly. “All right, I'll stop.” “Good.”

“Out with it Roxas, why are you here?” “Kairi.” That one word said it all. Sora groaned in annoyance. Why did that harpy have to show up now? “What does she want?” “What else? `I wish to see Prince Sora.'” Roxas said, making his voice sound all high and squeaky. “Ugh. Do I have to go?” “Do you want her to come here and break stuff?” “No.” “Then yes, you have to go.”

Sora tried not to sigh as Kairi continued to talk to him. Why was I stuck with her? Oh that's right, someone thought it was a good idea if I was mated to her. I need to remind myself to kill that person. “Sora are you listening?” Kairi asked in her squeaky voice. “Yes.” Sora lied.

“Okay so what did I just say?” “Uh…” “And this is why our relationship will never work. Sometimes, I wonder if you truly love me.” Let me answer that for you: no! Sora wished he could tell her that, but he was too much of a nice guy. He glanced at one of the walls in his room. There weren't any windows, lest the sun come in and turn him to ash.

That wouldn't be so bad now though…Sora thought. Now that Riku practically hated him, he didn't care if he was burned the next day or right now. “Sora!” Kairi yelled. “What is it?” Sora snapped at her and instantly regretted it. Kairi had tears in her eyes as she said, “Sora, what's wrong with you?”

Sora sighed. “I'm sorry Kairi, I'm not myself today. Can I talk to you later?” Kairi nodded and Sora walked past her. “If you need me I'm here to help.” Kairi said. “Okay.” Like I'll need it. Sora thought.
