(A/N: Well, it seems that out of my two chapters, I've already got tons of flames. Well, here is what I say. You don't like the basis of my story? You don't like it that Rain and Domon aren't together? That's fine, all right? I am not here to make everyone happy. Flame me if you like, I don't honestly care. I'd just prefer that if my story is THAT bad, don't read it. If by not having Rain/Domon as the pairing, my story is bad, then I guess I'm a bad writer. But, myself, I do not really agree with the Rain/Domon pairing. That is why this story is being written. As for the idea that I'm ruining the ending to G Gundam, I have one thing to say: This is fanfiction, not the official story of Mobile Fighter G Gundam. As for how this story is going to continue, it will be Allenby/Domon, George/Marie-Louise, and perhaps another pairing, which many of you may also not like. This is because I think it was wrong that Allenby was just cast away the way she was, just because she wasn't a "main" character, also, Allenby and Domon are much alike, and, opposites attracting are kind of wrong. I know plenty of people who are exactly the same and have been happy together for a long time. Now, without further adue, read if you like, if not, don't.)
A new Dawning
Chapter three:A dream that never was...
Allenby and Domon both sat, side by side, in an Italian restaurant. It seemed to be rather often to find these in New York, so Domon and Allenby had chosen one to eat their dinner. Domon was eating as always, like a pig. Allenby was just watching him giggling, while nursing a bowl of spaghetti. She didn't seem to be eating too much tonight, and, once Domon noticed this, he was a bit perplexed. "Allenby, something's wrong obviously so why don't you explain why you're not eating that food? It can't be that you don't like it." he commented, slurping up his noodles, which just caused Allenby to giggle a little bit more. "What's so funny?" he asked, sweatdropping and blinking.
"No, it's nothing Domon, it's just nice to be around you again. I've missed you so much, but, I just..didn't think it would be write to go and seek you out." she explained. She didn't really want to say that it was because of Rain. Hell, she didn't want to say that it was because of anything. How could she explain that even though she promised she'd move on, she couldn't? 'He doesn't even know I still love him and he never felt the same...why should I bother....?' she wondered to herself. She felt so insignificant, worthless, and unneeded. There was probably a better chance Domon would date some unknown girl, not even a fighter, rather than someone who's personality matches his so well. A fighter like Domon...a girl who loves him. She was a little younger..but age was a number after all. "Domon, ever think of what could have been?" she asked stupidly, not even planning on saying this.
Domon blinked. "Sure...I always wonder what could have happened if we lost to the Dark Gundam, is that what you mean?" he asked blinking. He always thought of that. Had the Dark Gundam won, would Earth even be here right now? Well, it would..but...would humans? No, that was the Dark Gundam's mission. Destroy humans, preserve Earth. He then thought. What if even a little part of that Gundam had survived...couldn't it rebuild itself...no...it couldn't. That wouldn't be possible, Domon and Rain's attack had been too powerful. ...Rain. He shouldn't have thought of her. Closing his eyes he tried to hold back pent up emotion. 'What if I hadn't told Rain to take the job.....?' he asked himself mentally, feeling so much pain in his heart thinking of her. They promised to be friends...but, he still loved her. Closing his eyes he just let Allenby answer, driving those hurtful thoughts into the back of his head...
Allenby nodded some. "Kind of like that. But... not a bad thing. Like...what if....two people had..." she stopped, feeling her own emotions trying to get the better of her. She wanted to run out of that place crying, never to see Domon Kasshu again. But, she loved him too much to do that. She had let herself lose him once, and here he was, available... and everything she still loved. "What if two people had taken their relationship beyond friendship? What if two people...who were so perfect for each other had taken a chance? Do you understand better now, Domon?" she asked. She wanted him to say, 'Yeah Allenby... I think about what if you and I had gotten together all the time.' or something like it, but, she didn't wait on it. She wasn't expecting that she'd hear those words. Sighing she just stared at the King of Hearts, just wanting some kind of response, at this point, not caring what he said...
Domon nodded. "Yes, I think about that kind of stuff alot." he answered, causing Allenby to blink and stare in almost disbelief. "I wonder what if Rain and I had just stayed friends, and I had chosen to date someone else. It wouldn't have hurt as much when she left then.." he said, closing his shining brown eyes. "But, I would have been just as bad off then. Rain means the world to me, and, I guess I just can't think of what I said as a good thing, yet, if I had told her to stay and not take her job, I would have been wrong too. I don't know...I think about that more than anything really..." he says sighing. Domon couldn't help but say all this, clearly not thinking of Allenby's feelings. He didn't know she still loved him after all. Of course he still had strong feelings toward her, but...love....he wasn't sure. After all, the first time he was in love hadn't turned out so well. "Sorry, I must sound like such an idiot. I'm not even talking about what you did ask...sorry..." he muttered.
Allenby looked completely hurt. As if the Burning Finger of Domon's Gundam had jammed her through the heart. 'He must still love Rain...' she thought to herself. She held back the tears that wanted to come out. "Well, I guess you still love Rain, don't you, Domon?" she asked, trying to smile a little. At least this way she could seem like she wasn't crushed by this.
Domon shook his head a little. "Not the same way. She's family. I love Rain like a sister. I mean, the old feelings are still there, but...us splitting was destined to happen. I don't know, it's just hard to explain. I'll always love Rain, but...she's family now. I guess it's about time I move on. I'm sure she has." Domon said, smiling weakly. After all, Rain had had a boyfriend besides him, while Rain had been his first relationship. Maybe he had messed up a little by choosing Rain, but it had been a happy time for him. A time that had ended. No longer thinking of it, he looked to Allenby. "Well, now that you know I've been stuck alone this whole almost four year period how about you? I mean, you've had to have found someone by now, Allenby." he said, blinking slightly. He wondered how Allenby had moved on. She said she would move on once he went to Rain....and he doubted she still had feelings for him.
"Actually, still alone. I've trained myself this whole time... not really seeing anyone." Allenby admitted softly."
Domon looked shocked. "Nah...you're kidding right?" Allenby shook her head. "Geez...Allenby, it's not good to stay alone...of course, I've done the same most of this time. Just staying at home with Father, training, tuning up Burning Gundam. Until now, when I called all you guys here." he said. Allenby nodded, while the two continued to converse for a bit, while enjoying their meals, talking about the good old days, getting back to the good old days... having missed out on a lot of time they could have spent together.
*~*The dark recesses of space*~*
A dark, existenceless void. Nothing alive, nothign dead. It was just...space. This was where the Dark Gundam was destroyed. Rain had been the one who was keeping that beast alive, and, when Domon saved her from it, Domon and Rain beat the Dark Gundam, sending it straight into Hell. The great theoretical powers of this Gundam would be totally worthless, theoretically. Self regeneration would be unable to activate, most importantly. At least, that was what was assumed. But, it was also said, as long as a single little part of that Gundam lived, it could live again. Even a cell, perhaps. Almost like an unbeatable beast, it could rise again from the darkness, and complete it's sick, sadistic mission. That mission was still to destroy the humans and bring back life to the Earth. 'Shuffle Alliance. Kasshu family. All seen as enemies. Mission objective, destroy all resistence to mission.' a cold voice thought through the resses. 'Create...pilot. Create body for use...' the voice continued. Seen just barely lay a small part of machinery. It half looked like a single gear. Slowly the part seemed to glow, while forming more and more parts unto itself, the voice getting louder as this seemed to happen, though none were around to see this. This single gear had been part of the Dark Gundam, and, once more, it had been part of the cockpit. And, it had what appeared to be a red stain on it. Blood. Another theoretical power of this beast had been the ability to bring life to other things through the DG Cells. Schwartz Bruder had been a product of these DG cells, as well as the Shuffle Alliance once being infected by them.
These cells could bring death alive from almost nothing. And, that blood was of a former pilot of this suit. One killed with the Dark Gundam. Kyoji Kasshu, brother to Domon and son of the creator of the Dark Gundam. While the Dark Gundam seemed to continue to form, the beast also seemed to be creating a new Kyoji frfom this little bit of blood, but, it was still uncertain if that could be happening. The Dark Gundam seemed to somehow be thriving off this little bit of life from the Kasshu boy, while it's form quickly regrew, and headed toward the nearest planet to it's current location. The planet that it was coming toward was the one it had caused so much problem upon before. It was the Earth. However, still barely formed, merely an exo-skeleton, it didn't seem as much of a threat as it had once been. However... it still lay uncertain if Kyoji could be revived. Domon had killed both Schwartz and Kyoji to bring them together again, as well as free them from the grasp of the evil Gundam. If this thing could rebuild Kyoji... then what was the point of Domon having killed his brother..? As the Dark Gundam continued to fall, thoughts rushed through it, both it's own thoughts, as well as those of Kyoji, and some of Schwartz Bruder. Seeing the fall of the Shadow Gundam by Burning Gundam's hand, parting the forcefield so Marie-Louise could deactivate it...as well as Domon killing both of them to destroy the Dark Gundam. 'Domon...Kasshu....murderer....destroy...' the voice said, more and more parts of it forming as it entered the Earth's atmosphere, intent on having it's revenge now....intent on ending the life of the human race once and for all.
*~*~*~*
The Dark Gundam has survived, while the Shuffle Alliance are all gathered in one place. What of the Dark Gundam's attempt to revive Kyoji? Will it work, or will it seek out another pilot? If so, who? What if a revived Kyoji wasn't able to be controlled by the Dark Gundam? We'll have to wait and see what happens.
