Last Time: Fed up with his behavior, Kagome bolted into the forest before anybody even had a chance to try and say anything.

 

Shaking their heads disappointedly at the hanyou, Sango and Miroku headed back towards their camp.

 

“Are you just going to let her run off like that? Shouldn't somebody go after her of something?” Sora asked, still standing in the same spot along with Riku and Kairi.

 

“At times like these it's best to give her some time alone.” Sango answered.

 

“You mean this happens often?” Kairi asked.

 

“Sadly, yes.” Sango answered.

 

Shrugging their shoulders, Sora and Kairi followed Miroku, Sango and Shippo. Riku on the other hand snuck away from the others and followed Kagome, hoping that she was alright.

Slowing down, Kagome turned her run into a slow walk, taking time to get a good look at her surroundings.

 

Sighing, Kagome found a tree stump perfect enough for her to sit on. Sitting down, she began to compare herself to Kikyo. “I mean what did Inu Yasha see in her. Not only is she trying to kill him, she's also dead and helping out the enemy”, she thought aloud.

 

Frustrated, Kagome let out a loud exasperated sigh. Too occupied in her thoughts she didn't notice a certain dark aura approaching.

 

Coming upon a preoccupied Kagome, Riku watched as Kagome's face went through many different emotions. Unsure as to what to do, Riku slowly went up to Kagome and asked, “Are you alright?”

 

Jumping back in surprise, Kagome fell off of the stump she was sitting on. Quickly helping up the now blushing Kagome, Riku asked Kagome yet again if she was alright.

 

Nodding her head yes in reply, Kagome sat back down, this time at the base of a nearby tree, Riku following suit right next to her.

 

“Do you want to talk about it?”

 

“Why do you care so much? I mean as soon as you seal the keyhole you and your friends will leave.”

 

“Well when I first came to this planet, helpless and alone, you helped me out without a seconds hesitation. I want to repay that kindness.” Riku answered, looking up at the stars.

 

Searching his face for any signs of false pretenses, Kagome let out a long sight and began to tell Riku everything, everything being the love triangle between her, Kikyo, and Inu Yasha.

 

 

Chapter Five

 

 

Feeling the warmth of the sun's rays upon her cheek, Kagome slowly began to open her eyes, letting them to adjust to the morning sun. Yawning, she began to slowly stretch her arms as she took a look at her surroundings.

 

Seeing nothing but the dense forest, Kagome became confuses as to where she was, until she landed her sights on the still sleeping Riku. Upon seeing his sleeping form the memories of last night soon flooded back to her.

 

Beaming a small smile, Kagome gently prodded Riku awake. The others were probably worried sick about the both of them. Seeing Riku begin to stir, Kagome watched as he slowly opened his ___ eyes.

 

“Come on we should probably go find the others Riku.” Kagome suggested, as Riku stood up and started to stretch.

 

“Okay.” He yawned, still a bit sleepy.

 

Giggling, Kagome grabbed Riku's hand and led him in the direction where she sensed InuYasha's and the others auras. Blushing at the contact, Riku let Kagome lead him toward the others.

 

However not too long after they had started walking, Kagome suddenly let go of Riku's hand and let out a low groan. Looking at her with a mixture of confusion, Kagome's only response was a sheepish smile that quickly turned into a grimaced.

 

Walking onward, Riku soon heard two rough sounding voices arguing. Puzzled, Riku just followed Kagome, unsure at to what to expect. When he finally was in view of everybody, he was uncertain of what to make of everything.

 

Sango and the monk, Miroku were conversing with each other, seemingly oblivious to what was going on. Shippo was petting Kiriara, and Sora and Kairi were both talking with each other lost in their own little world.

 

Inu Yasha on the other hand was arguing with some unknown demon. He looked to be around Inu Yasha's age with long black hair held in a high ponytail and sky blue eyes.

 

“And another thing you stupid…!” He yelled before he was cut off by, “Shut your yap, ya dumb wolf!”

 

“Is this normal.” Riku asked Kagome.

 

“Unfortunately yes.” Kagome sighed, already tired of the yelling match between the two idiotic demons.

 

Clearing her throat, Kagome yelled, “Inu Yasha, Kouga knock it off will ya!”

 

“Kago…” Inu Yasha started, until he felt a bomp on the head. Looking for the wolf, he saw him already flirting with Kagome.

 

“My dear Kagome, are you alright. I can't believe dog breath just let you run off with some complete stranger. No worries, I shall make sure that my woman is alright.” Kouga boasted.

 

“Kouga how many times am I gonna have to tell you that you are just my friend. And Riku isn't a stranger; I've been traveling with him for the last few days.” Kagome tried to explain, unaware of the two sets of heated glares aimed at Kouga.

 

“Kagome! I'm glad that you are okay.” Sango spoke, approaching Kagome.

 

“Hey you're back Riku.” Sora grinned.

 

“Why Lady Kagome just what exactly have you and Riku been up to all night?” Miroku inquired, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Earning a red handprint on his cheek, courtesy of Sango.

 

Growling Inu Yasha was about to reply when he suddenly smelt an all too familiar scent in the air. Pulling out his tetsaiga, Inu Yasha waited for Kagura to show herself.

 

“Well look at who's all here, having a party are we.” Kagura mocked from atop of her fan.

 

“What do you want Kagura?' Inu Yasha questioned.

 

“Just give me the boy known as Sora and I'll be on my way.” Kagura answered, tapping her fan against her chin.

 

“For what purpose do you want Sora.” Riku asked, preparing his keyblades.

 

“How should I know?” Kagura responded, opening her fan preparing for an attack that was sure to come.

 

Quickly dodging an arrow from Kagome, Kagura signaled the horde of demons from behind her to attack. Engaging in battle, the eight warriors each battled demon after demon.

 

“Thunder.” Sora yelled, instantly killing the demons surrounding him. Going to help Riku, Sora suddenly heard Kairi yell out. “Sora!” Kairi yelled when she felt someone suddenly grab her from behind.

 

“Kairi!” Both Riku and Sora yelled.

 

“Let her go!” Sora bellowed out, anger radiating off of him in waves.

 

“How about a little trade? You come with me willingly and I'll let your precious girlfriend go, and I'll even call off the demon.” Kagura offered, a wicked smile on her face.

 

“Fine.” Sora agreed without hesitation. Walking up to Kagura, Sora got onto her feather as Kagura let Kairi go. As everybody was watching Sora and Kagura, they failed to notice a muffled scream.

 

“Hey I thought you said you'd call off the demons.” Sora protested, as he flew into the sky with Kagura, trying to ignore Riku and Kairi's screams for him.

 

“I lied.” Kagura stated simply.

 

Leering, Sora was about to do something when suddenly, he blacked out.

Damn it.” Inu Yasha cursed, frustrated that Kagura had gotten away. “Wind scar.” He shouted, taking out the rest of the demons.

 

“Come on we have to follow them.” Kairi screamed, feeling guilty about Sora.

 

“Fine, but we better get moving now, especially before I lose their scent.” Inu Yasha agreed. “Come on Kagome, get on my back.”

 

When nothing happened, Inu Yasha turned around, looking for Kagome. “Kagome. Where are you, you stupid wench.”

 

Letting his ears droop down, Inu Yasha waited to be sat for his little comment. When nothing came Inu Yasha's ears stood straight again, as he looked around for her.

 

“Kagome.” Sango called out, starting to worry about her miko friend when she heard no response.

Groaning, Sora slowly sat himself up. He wasn't sure what happened, but his head hurt like hell.

 

“You're finally awake.” A voice said to the left of him, slightly startling him. “Who… who's there.” He stuttered.

 

“Relax Sora, it's just me, Kagome.” Kagome answered.

 

“So you got captured too.”

 

“Yea.” Kagome replied.

 

“How long have I been out?” Sora asked, rubbing his head where it hurt the most.

 

“Only a few hours, but get up. We need to figure out a way to escape this place. Especially before Kagura or Hakudoshi come back.”

AN: I know it's short, but from now on all my future chapters will be short, but they'll be more frequent. Anyways, Sora and the gang's time in the InuYasha world is coming to an end, so if everything turns out alright by the next two chapters they will be on their way to a new world.
