`Til Death Do Us Apart

Naruto shouted happily. They were all so beautiful, so amazing!
“Everyone! You're all here!” He shouted and ran to anyone and everyone he could, tackling them, hugging them, kissing them. It was so much fun!
He had never experienced so much overwhelming joy in one day…
“Uzumaki!”
“Yo, dog!”
“Get off!”
“Hug me, you crazy fool!”
A chorus rung out, as Naruto hung off everyone.
They had all died such horrible ways. He had prayed for them, that they would be in perfect places, away from the pain they endured to get there.
Shino was ripped to pieces.
Kiba struck and burned to death by the lightening.
Iruka was stabbed to death.
Kakashi died in battle fighting with the leader of the Akatsuki.
Gaara ripped in half.
Ten Ten died from exhaustion.
Tsunade eaten.
Shizune with a knife through the throat.
Hinata fought to her dying breath.
Jiraiya was crushed.
Lee and Gai died with their fists to Kisame's face.
Yet, here they were. No blood, pain, hurt, tears. It was all smiles, grins, happiness, joy.
Kiba tackled Naruto to the ground, rolling in the dirt, laughing, Akamaru roaring his giant barks. Shino smiled, standing ankle deep in the water.
Iruka caught Naruto in his embrace, hugging him closely, tightly. Tears coursed down Iruka's face.
“Have you seen your dad?” He asked, looking at Naruto's stunning appearance.
“Starred at him, cried on him, talked all philosophical with him, yeah.” Naruto grinned and Iruka laughed.
“I'm so happy for you.”
“I'm happy for me too!” Naruto laughed and looked around, “You are all so beautiful, this is awesome.” Naruto threw his hands in the air and thanked God. They waited, patient, silently praying themselves before Naruto ran and tackled Shino into the water.
They landed with a loud splash, water slugs rolled up around them, next to them, turtles tried to get away from the wrestling pair.
Naruto then jumped up and hugged Kakashi. That was when it occurred to him.
“Hey, where's Sasuke?”
Kakashi's smile, no longer impaired by the mask or headband just starred before closing his eyes. Naruto frowned, turning to every one.
“Oi, where is Sasuke?” He repeated, and Sakura put her hand on Naruto's shoulder, knowing it would affect him, what her news would bring.
“He's not here.” She whispered.
“Then, where is he?”
“Naruto, if he's not alive and he's not in Heaven, then where do you think he is?”
Silence….
“He…isn't here?” He tried, trying to escape the truth. Sakura shook her head. She knows Naruto best, and knows you just have to come straight out there. Plus, there was no way to make this news any less of a blow.
“He's in Hell, Naruto…”
Silence…
Silence…
Tear slowly falling down his cheek before he even screamed … which he did.
“What!?” He screamed and Sakura sighed. “No way! Nuh uh, no…way! That can't be true! You're lying!” He staggered back, and Kiba looked away, Hinata starring at the ground. Iruka watched Naruto, his heart clenching.
Sasuke was one of the most important people in Naruto's life. The only person he would gladly had died for. The only person he wasn't going to spend an eternity of joy with.
“I'm so sorry Naruto, but there is nothing we can do.” Sakura said gently and Naruto gasped.
“What? What do you mean there is nothing we can do? God, lets talk to Him. If we go together, maybe we can persuade Him.” Naruto said desperately threw tears that seemed dull and lifeless.
Sakura shook her head, “We can't-“
“Why not!? Have you tried? Wait, wait, how are you even sure he's in Hell? I mean maybe we just can't find him!” Naruto smiled, turned and ran. He disappeared threw the trees.

The beautiful Heaven was, in no doubt, a beautiful place. Even in his sorrow, Naruto had to stop before he was too overwhelmed by its glory. But, as he starred at the beautiful things, at the animals that starred confused at him because they had never seen sorrow, it only made his grief more powerful.
All this beauty, all this wonder, Sasuke would never experience. The pain was so deep, just like before, when he rang the doorbell.
It was ten; Sasuke was usually up at seven. Not so quietly, he ripped the door open, jumping in, pronouncing the Hokage was there.
He was met with silence.
His intense sense of smell picked up on a coppery scent filling the air.
Blood. The placed was soaked with its stench. Immediately Naruto searched the house, but it wasn't long before he knew where it came from. The bedroom.
At first, he didn't believe it was really happening.
Blood soaked the dark sheets, saturating them, and then dribbling off the bed onto the floor. He lay horizontal across the vertical bed, his hand holding the kunai hanging off.
Kunai drenched in blood.
A deep, red line was carved down his wrist nearly to his elbow. It was so terrible. The skin was ripped, as if the kunai hadn't opened it enough, so he ripped it with his hands.
His face starred out at Naruto, but he had the feeling he wasn't looking past him. He was looking at him. Chills swept up his body and he was at Sasuke's side in seconds. He had felt limp bodies before, dead, but to hold the limp body of a person he loved so much made it so much heavier.
His skin was sheet white, his pupils dilated, no breathing.
Naruto closed his eyes to the beauty of heaven.
The doctor had deduced Sasuke had died midnight… an hour after Naruto dropped him off from their night out.
No, Sasuke was in pain. He wanted to get away from it. He did not deserve Hell. He wanted relief, he wanted Heaven.
A sob ripped from Naruto's throat, the pain making his heart clench, his body ache, and his form tremble. It seemed Heaven answered, the cool breeze lightly caressing Naruto's hair and face, like a hand trying to soothe.
He fell to his knees and sobbed into the ground, the crying he had never been able to do when he was alive. He cried for what seemed like hours, ending up against a tree, surrounded in its long hanging vines. He could see no one and no one could see him.
He felt like it should be midnight, as the moon peaked over the hills. But Naruto wasn't tired, the moonlight glittered through the vines or the tree, and Naruto reached out his hand so the light would touch him. Even the moon shine felt warm on his sensitive skin. His red rimmed eyes starred and he realized that Sasuke could have met him here. Could be sitting next him in this very tree, worshipping the One who let them be here.
“Naruto.” Someone said. The wind swept passed and vines rustled, as if to answer them but Naruto looked around. Thinking it was one of his friends, he remained quiet, so they would leave him alone.
“Naruto.” It repeated and Naruto put his head on his knees. The gentle wind swept by again, and Naruto heard the ruffling of clothes. Glancing up, he was going to tell them he needed to be alone, but all thought process ground to a halt.
A man, so beautiful, his light so blinding, that Naruto had to look away stood before Him. His name should be perfection, His skin translucent, His eyes, with one look, knew what, who, everything you were, are. Every thought process, every sin, every happy time, every bad time, He knew it all. It made Naruto feel naked and clothed all at once, hungry and full, wet and dry. A feeling he could not describe while standing before Him.
The man smiled gently, kneeling and sitting in front of Naruto, who starred, his eyes used to the bright light now.
“Why are you so sad?” He asked, but Naruto knew He knew, and a tear leaked from his eyes. He had no shame to cry before the Lord, only wanted to pour everything he had out onto Him, giving Him his very life!
“Sasuke…” Was all he could manage threw a strangled sob. It was all it took as He nodded, leaning forward and wrapping His Godly arms around Naruto. He fell into God's embrace, crying on his shoulder, wrapping his arms around his torso, sobbing quietly.
Not many minutes later, Naruto leaned back and found God crying too. He wept for Naruto, for his pain and suffering He had tried to hard to keep from happening.
“I know what its like, to love someone and have them gone to Hell.” He finally said. “I love him so much, my son, Lucifer. He was the music of Heaven, the leader of the light.” God smiled a sad smile in remembrance.
“Yes, Lucifer was perfect and beautiful in my eyes, in everyone's eyes. He worshipped me like no other, sought my help and guidance, fell prostrate at my name. He made me so proud. That was before sin found him.”
“It killed me to watch it happen, to see him become what he is. I wept many a nights for him, as his angry thoughts came to me. I love him, but he did not see. He betrayed me, but I still love him. Even as he sits on the throne of Hell, I love him, and still will not see.”
God played with the grass, his hand so perfect, bronzed and corded, as it swept over the grass he remembered creating, the roots he remembered being to proud of, like a father, when it had first burst from the Earth.
“Jealousy plagues his mind. He thinks I love man more than I love angels. He seeks to save me from my own creation.”
“Um… what is there for him to be jealous of in…man?” Naruto asked, amazed the one true God was sitting before him, chatting it up. God shook his head.
“Nothing. I love you just as much as I love him. He was gorgeous and blameless. A time so far in the past… I do understand, Naruto. Sasuke was never meant to be where he is…No one was. I have tried everything to persuade you. However, with free will come the good and the bad.” God nodded, sighing.
“Do you ever regret giving us free will?” Naruto asked. He shook his head.
“No. I made you in My image. Free will was necessary. Plus, its all those who make the right choices that make free will worth giving.” God laughed, melodious, amazing, and beautiful.
“Why…why did you make Lucifer? I mean, you can see everything right? You know everything, right? Then why?” Naruto asked, shocked that God would even make a rapist if he knew he would rape.
“I love him.”
Silence…Naruto knew he would never understand and for the first time accepted that fact. God stood and Naruto leapt up, not wanting him to leave.
“Like I said before, Sasuke was never meant to be where he is. I will give you 6 days.” God said, “Go with Michael and he will lead you to Hell. You have six days to get to Sasuke and find him. Then, if you find him, you can start all over again.” God grinned and Naruto felt happiness burst in his stomach. He hit the ground, thanking God, worshipping Him.
God smiled.
“Your love for him is strong, Naruto. It will save him. And, never be scared. I am always with you, and that makes you invincible.”

6 days…
