“Whew, we've had quite a workout, huh?” Kisame held his arms behind his head. Itachi nodded. “We certainly did…” They continued walking. “You must be real tired from staying up all night and walking all day….right?” You snickered while walking behind them. Itachi slowed his pace. “What are you aiming at, Kisame…” “You know what would really hit the spot?” Kisame asked with a grin. Itachi raised an eyebrow.

“Dango.”

Then there was silence. Kisame and Itachi completely stopped walking, and you did as well. Your eyes widened with shock and confusion. “Dango?? you thought. You stared at Kisame's partner. He looked like he was hesitant to take a break. “I mean, it would be a nice reward for our hard work, y'know?” Kisame nudged Itachi's shoulder, causing him to sigh with defeat. “…Let's go…” You practically jumped in the air for joy, thanking Kisame for his smart thinking. “It works every time…” Itachi seemed eager to get this `dango', since he was walking at a faster pace than you and Kisame. The three of you finally made it into town. There were a lot of people in the streets buying stuff from vendors lined from aisle to aisle. It took a few minutes to reach the exact place, but you made it: The Hanami Dango Shop. It was a bit smaller than you expected. The people who sat down eating their foods stopped abruptly, as soon as the three of you walked in. Your face went warm after being embarrassed from the unwanted attention. You then found out they weren't looking at you, they weren't looking at Itachi either, it was Kisame! They acted as if they'd never seen a shark man before!! Itachi went to find some seats. Kisame was getting a bit irritated by the customers' reactions to him. You grunted. “You got an eye problem?! Keep eating!!” you yelled. They were shocked to hear something from you, but they continued to eat anyway. You heard a few, “Who does she think she is... ” and “What the hell is her problem.... ”'s and it made you want to shove your foot up their butts, but you remembered it would ruin your precious sandals. Itachi called you two over and you all sat down. The waiter already had drinks set out for you. You gave a sigh and dusted yourself off, staring at your beverage. “Hm… What's this dango thing you like so much?” you asked Itachi. “It's nothing special...” he said drinking slowly. “Oh? Nothing special? You let us stop from doing something important, a mission, to let us eat this stuff! I think this is something special!” You laughed lightly. “So what is it, some magic `shroom or something?”

“Enjoy your treat, sir!” a woman said smiling really hard. She placed a huge plate of round balls with sticks impaled in them. You tilted your head to the side a bit, as Itachi grabbed the first one. “This is dango?” you asked with disappointment. “Mhm. It's like catnip for this guy...” Kisame laughed. “Hm…” You picked one of the shish kabobs up, and examined it. The pink, white, and green balls looked suspicious to you. Itachi looked at your actions and sighed. “If you don't want it, put it back.” So you did, and he picked it right up and popped it in his mouth. You stared at him with your mouth agape. “Fatty!” you thought, and didn't dare to say out loud. He continued eating. Kisame looked over at Itachi's drink. He noticed a small bottle sitting next to his cup. “Whoa! Sake? In the middle of the day?! ” Kisame asked shockingly. “Why not? It's the least I can do for my `hard work', right?” Itachi grinned. He acted very different when sake was in his system. You remember when it was like he was never there, so quiet and introverted… Now he became a sake fiend! “Maybe you should slow down a little…” you said with concern. He turned to you. “Name. I'm twenty-two years old, I know what I'm doing….” “But age doesn't mean any--” “Name! I know what I'm doing…” he said laughing a little. The three of you stayed at the restaurant for a while. People came in and left so many times. The waitress came by and said that you all overstayed your welcome, but Itachi threatened her with his Sharingan. Show off…” you muttered. He shot a glare at you, and your eyes went wide. He laughed sinisterly, and ordered more sake. “Again?!” you and Kisame said in unison. More and more customers arrived and left. Hour after hour passed by, as your life was being sucked into a vortex of sugary-alcoholic terror. Itachi then sparked up a conversation about his days in the ANBU. He spoke about how his teammates were being murdered, and tortured. It was meant to be serious, but his laughing just ruined it. You sighed with exhaustion. He slams his cup on the table. “Garçon! Sake!!” he demanded. Kisame rolled his eyes, putting his hands on his face. “Since when did he speak French?!” he thought. The waitress came back with an aggravated look. “Garçon means boy….” She said annoyed, setting another bottle of sake on the table. Itachi gulped the whole bottle down to the very last drop. Kisame checked the time. “Hey, we should go now! It's 2:40 AM!!” You were fast asleep resting your head on your folded arms, drooling. He glanced at you. “Eh, no training for you tonight…. Name, wake up!” Kisame shook your head side to side, causing you to groan. You got out of your chair clumsily, rubbing your eyes. Itachi stood up, and went to Kisame's side. His eyes were baggy and he reeked with the smell of alcohol. The three of you were off again. “Me and my bright ideas…” Kisame said out loud. Luckily, there was an old apartment that was used for stashing stolen goods a couple of miles from the dango shop. After lagging behind for thirty minutes, Kisame ended up carrying the two of you. When you all reached the destination, Kisame insisted that if the thieves happened to come along and claim what was theirs, he'd be sure to get rid of them. You didn't care, for you fell asleep on the wooden ground as soon as you gained contact with it. Itachi slept on the couch, and Kisame was fortunate enough to get the twin sized bed. His legs were hanging from the bottom of the mattress. He stared at the two of you sleeping, and sighed. “Next time, they're carrying me home…”
