“But, something is still bothering me. Even if you were able to get close enough to knock out my guards, only one had the main key; the key to get all the way out. And, with all due respect, I seriously doubt you would have been able to take him so easily. Unless…” His eyes grew wide.

I smirked and looked up at him. “You’ve figured right, old man. Kain was on my side.” I laughed at his expression, and looked down at Sasuke’s questioning look. “Umm… You’ll meet him later, okay?” He nodded.

At that moment, the door swung open. A boy walked in and I immediately knew that this boy was a Hyuuga; I could tell by his pale, pupil less eyes.

“Lord Hokage!” He said. “Kain has returned with news!” I got up and walked over to him and began studying him. “Umm… Do I know you…?” He asked me, slowly. I clapped my hands together in realization.

“Neji! You’re Neji aren’t you?!” I yelled out in excitement.

“Umm… Yeah, what of it?”

“You look exactly like him. It’s amazing… Anyway, come in, sit down. You have news of Kain? Well tell me what it is.” I said, smiling.

Neji looked from Sasuke to the Hokage and back to me. “This is a private matter.”

“Oh, trust me. Kain would not mind if I were to sit in.” I said, still smiling.

“It’s okay, Neji.” The Hokage said.

“Very well. Kain has reported that he is refusing to guard the prison in the south. He said that there is no reason anymore. He is talking with the head of the clan now. He will be here shortly.”

“Very well.” The Hokage sneaked another glance at me “Ahiaa, will you be going then?”

“Yes, I think I am. Sasuke has to get back to training; I’m afraid I’ve already made him late. But there is one last thing I need to speak to you about.”

“And what is that?” He replied, curiously.

“I want to become a ninja of the leaf village. Do I really need to go through the whole schooling process again? You know that I can do it all already…”

“I suppose you can. However, you must still take the final test.”

“Just who are you?” I snapped my head around to Neji; I had almost forgotten that he was still in here. “I demand that you tell me now.” He repeated curtly.

“Excuse me?” I said angrily. “ I am not required to take orders from a kid like you!” I was standing right in front of him now, with my fists clenched.

“Calm down Ahiaa. And you, little brother… I would suggest you not be so rude. She has a killer right hook.” I smiled at his cool voice and looked towards the door. He stood in the doorway, leaning on the doorframe. He was just as I remembered him. He had long, brown hair and partially covered his trademark Hyuuga eyes. He wore a cream-colored short sleeve top and brown cargo pants. His Konoha headband covered what I knew to be the Hyuuga Branch family curse mark.

“Kain!” I screamed in joy. I ran and jumped into his arms; everyone else in the room was forgotten. I stood on my tip-toes and gave him a kiss. “I missed you…”

“It has only been two days.” He replied with a small smirk.

“Well, That’s long enough, isn’t it? Hey! Guess what! I just met your little brother! He’s so cute! He looks just like you!”

“Umm… Big brother? What’s going on…?” I was snapped back to reality when Neji spoke. I broke away from Kain’s embrace and looked at the two boys’ shocked faces. Neji and Sasuke had no clue what was going on.

“Later.” Kain promised his brother, then turned his attention to the Hokage. “I’m sure ou have figured out what is going on.”

“Yes. But I cannot believe that you would betray you’re duty.”

I betrayed my duty?! You have the responsibility to protect every member of this village. You are the one that has betrayed your duty!”

I moved beside Kain and gripped his arm.

The Hokage looked away, ashamed of the harsh reality that Kain had just told him. Sasuke stood and walked over to my side.

“Umm… I have to get to my training.” He said.

“Okay. Go. Tell your teacher that I’m sorry I kept you.” I said back to him, but he didn’t leave.

“Well… I was thinking that…umm…maybe you would like to come, too?”

I looked up at Kain. We had made plans to go and explore the village when we had both arrived. I looked at him pleadingly; this would be the first time in forever that I would’ve gotten to spend time with my little brother.

“Go.” He said, and smiled.

“Thank you! I love you so much!” I stood once again on my tip-toes and kissed him.

I grabbed Sasuke and ran out of the door. Behind us, I could hear Neji begin to interrogate both his brother and the Hokage.

I slowed down to a walk when we got onto the street. Me and Sasuke were walking side by side, and he was sneaking glances at me through the corner of his eye. I yawned and he turned to face me.

“You’re tired.” It was a statement, not a question.

“Just a little. They didn’t give me the best accommodations, you know.”

“You didn’t have to come. You could go rest at my house, or something like that.”

“No way! And miss watching my little brother train?!”

“Y-Yeah, I guess so…” He blushed a little and looked away.

“Where is this training ground of yours, anyway?”

“It’s right up here. Not much farther now.”

“Okay. Tell me what kind of people you got put on a squad with. I met one of them, I think. That Naruto kid, right? He looks familiar somehow… And that guy, Kakashi. Is he your captain?”

He sighed. “Yeah, Naruto’s on my team. He can’t do a thing right, though. Yes, Kakashi is our leader. He’s called the Copy Ninja. He can copy any technique you throw at him. It seems pretty useful.”

“Sounds to me like the Sharingan. Don’t worry, if you haven’t come into yours yet, you should be soon… But why someone outside the clan would have the Sharingan, now that’s an entirely different matter…” I mumbled to myself.

“Hmm? What was that?”

“Oh nothing. Anyway, who is the third member of your squad? They still make them with three people, right?”

“Oh, yeah…” He sighed again. “There’s also-”

“Sasuke!” His sentence was cut off by this new girl’s screaming. She ran up to him and grabbed his arm; she seemed to not even see me. “Sasuke! Kakashi-sensei told me that you were going to be late. Did something happen? Are you OK?!?” She finished nervously. This girl had pink hair and had on a red long shirt with green shorts. This girl, like the blonde boy, looked strangely familiar to me. I eyed the two of them scrutinizingly.

“And then there’s Sakura…” Sasuke said to me reluctantly.

“Um.. Are you two, uh…” I began curiously and was immediately answered by this new girl, Sakura.

“Oh no! No way! We’re not together or anything like that! That’s ridiculous!” She said, blushing furiously. “Although, that would be fine with me, of course.” For the first time, she looked up at me. “Who’s this?” She quietly whispered to Sasuke.

“Oh. Um… She’s Ahiaa… and, uh… She’s my sister.” He said, a bit unsure.

“Your sister?!?! Is she a ninja, too? She must be brilliant if she’s kin to you, Sasuke!” She wasn’t even bothering to whisper anymore; she was practically screaming now.

“Look, Sakura, or whatever your name is. I’m two feet away from you. You don’t have to scream, okay?” I stared at her and she quickly shut her mouth and began blushing. I turned my attention to Sasuke. “Is this training area much farther?”

“No.” He said as the three of us walked into a small clearing. I saw Naruto and Kakashi talking, and we walked over towards them.

“Finally you show up!” Naruto immediately began shouting at Sasuke. “I was starting to think you weren’t coming at all.”

“It is past the ten minutes that I allowed you.” Kakashi said coolly, putting up the book that he was reading.

“I’m sorry. That was entirely my fault. Please excuse Sasuke from being late.” I stepped in front of Sasuke and bowed politely.

“I don’t believe that we were properly introduced at our meeting earlier this morning. I am Kakashi Hatake.” He bowed.

“No, I don’t believe we did. It is very nice to meet you Kakashi Hatake. I am Ahiaa Uchiha.” I smiled at his reaction. He must have been in the ANBU at one point. I was surprised he was able to keep his composure the way he did.

“Uchiha, you say? That certainly is interesting.” He said, as he walked away to sit under a tree.

“So your related to Sasuke, huh?” Naruto said, walking towards me.

“Naruto, you’re so stupid. Of course they’re related. You can tell by just looking at them.” Sakura said from somewhere behind me.

“Well, in that case… Apologize for earlier!” He yelled at me.

“I will do no such thing.” I said, and crossed my arms defiantly.

“Then I’ll just make you say you’re sorry!” He yelled again.

“Leave her alone, you loser.” Sasuke said, stepping in front of me.

“Oh, aren’t you so tough. Hiding behind a kid younger than you. But then again, you’re not even a ninja. I’d probably only hurt you or something.” He said arrogantly.

“Why you…” I charged at him. I wasn’t going to hurt him or anything; I just wanted to teach him a lesson. He moved right before I got to him. He ran behind me and attempted to punch me. I turned around and caught his fist, and his eyes went red with anger. He swung around his leg into what I guessed was supposed to be a surprise kick. I caught his leg also. Now holding him by both his arm and leg, I flung him to the ground.

“Hah. Is that really all you’ve got? You never even landed a punch.” I said tauntingly as he was getting up.

“Well, all you did was block my attacks. What good was that? Maybe you should take some tips from your little ‘brother’. If you are, in fact, related to one another. I mean, really, if you two were brother and sister, then why didn’t he know about you? And why would you just be coming back now? Answer that!” He yelled, trying to get my full attention.

I could feel the tears begin to stream down my face. How dare this kid talk about things he didn’t know anything about?! I charged at him once again, not even caring to hold back now. I sent a blow to his stomach that was powerful enough to bring him off of the ground. I brought up my knee and sent him flying higher.

“You…” I said, accompanied by another punch, “…have no idea…” Punch “…what you’re talking about!” Punch. I pinned him by his neck against a tree. I pulled back my free fist, so I could punch him again. The tears were flowing freely down my cheeks. I went to punch, but my fist wouldn’t move. I looked to the side and saw an arm gripping my elbow firmly. I followed the arm up to the connected body, and realized almost immediately that it was Kain. I could see him, even through my tear-caused blurry vision.

“That’s enough.” He said firmly. “I knew you would get into trouble if I left you alone for too long. But really, Ahiaa, He’s just a kid. You didn’t want to kill him, did you?”

I turned around to face him, forgetting all about Naruto behind me. I used my forarm to wipe the remaining tears from my eyes.

“Yes. I did.” I said, looking at Kain directly now. “And he deserved it, too. He was talking about stuff he didn’t need to be talking about.” I finished furiously.

“None-the-less,” He began to reply calmly, “he is still a child. And knowing this, you should not have taken out your anger on him.”

I closed my eyes and sighed. I opened them and turned back to a severely beaten up Naruto. I bowed my head, reluctantly apologized, and turned back to Kain.

“Are you happy now?” I said.

“Extremely.” He said, grabbing my waist and pulling me to him. “Now, I think we should leave before you cause even more of a ruckus here.”

“But I wanted to stay and watch Sasuke practice!” I pouted to him.

“Maybe you should go. You need to go and rest, anyway. You can watch us practice some other time.” Sasuke said from behind Kain. I walked over to him.

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“Yeah.” He said, and smiled. “Besides, if you stay here, I won’t get my chance to beat up Naruto.” He added darkly. I swear, at that moment, he reminded me just of a younger Itachi.
