Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Bunshin Pizza ❯ Chapter One ( Chapter 1 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Yo! Welcome to Bunshin Pizza! You have just entered the best pizza parlor, in some people's opinion, the entire world. The humble owners, of course, would just smile and at least agree to the best in the Midwest!
To find out why such a place could be considered the best in the world, then you will have to come in and see. They stopped offering delivery when no one asked for it. The show is inside, with the cooks. There you get to see the magic taking place between the three owners. And once the entertainment is over, you get to eat something so delectable, so delicious, you would not believe that it was simply a pizza!
The brightest, or more talkative, of the three, Uzamaki Naruto, first starts off by throwing his dough down onto his flour filled counter, then begins to knead with his palms. He then grabs a large roller, and spreads out the dough, his tanned, muscular arms dance under the pressure. Once he is satisfied, he gently picks up the soon-to-be-crust, and tosses it high above his head. The dough twirls above his blonde locks, and his blue-as-the-sky-on-a-clear-day eyes, sparkle as he laughs. When asked why he laughs, he non-chalantly replies, "Every time I toss it in the air, I picture me missing, and it landing on my head."
After Naruto finishes up the dough, he tosses it over to Sabaku Gaara. He catches the dough and tosses it down. During Naruto's performance, the stoic red-head slices and dices and mushes up tomatoes and other herbs and throws them into a pot. Now that he has the dough in his hands, he places it on his counter space, and goes back to his sauce whose aroma is spilling forth throughout the entire parlor, and out into the streets drawing forth new customers. He places a mitten over his pale hands as he picks the pot up and carries it back to the awaiting dough. Gaara sets the pot down, grabs a ladle, and dips it into the depths of the pan. It emerges with a deep, thick red sauce, with hints of greens and browns that you can only assume are some of his secret ingrediants. The man with dark circles under his eyes, a mystery of its own, tips the ladle and the blood red sauce pours out onto the dough.
As he finishes, he slips the large metal paddle under the round pizza and hands it off to the awaiting Prince of Darkness, or at least, that's what Naruto likes to refer to him as. Uchiha Sasuke, the raven haired male, sets to work on the last of the pie. He has the last of the supplies pulled from the freezer, ready and waiting. In the mornings, he cooks all the meats in his own special seasoning, and it awaits for later use. Having the order placed before hand, he has out the toppings to make a Super Meaty Special. This consists of: sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, polish sausage (Gaara's idea), and slices of sirloin steak (Sasuke's idea). A real meaty treat! His thin, pale fingers first dip into the cheese mix. He never uses one kind of cheese for his toppings! It's a mix of American, mozzarella, and provolone cheese. He sprinkles the cheese with a flick of his wrist, spreading it out evenly. He then adds all the different meats perfectly throughout the pizza. When a smirk graces his face, then we know it is almost done. Sasuke lifts the paddle and carries it over to the oven that Gaara has opened, waiting for the contents to be entered. Sasuke slides the almost complete pizza in and he sets the timer.
Mind you, they have quite a line of customers waiting, and although it seems like a long process, it takes roughly 7 minutes from start to finish, not including baking time. It's done with such elegance, and passion, the customers never mind the wait. They enjoy sitting back and watching the three, listening to them talk, banter back and forth, and they never leave out the customers. They also know the majority of their customers as well. Of course they get new regulars every day, but they are quick to learn a face and a name, which makes entering Bunshin Pizza like an episode of Cheers, where, everybody knows your name.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Gaara, even though they look completely different from one another, are quite similar in more ways than one. Perhaps that is how the three came together, and are able to put up with one another as well. The name they decided on for the parlor, alone, is two examples as to why they connect. Bunshin is Japanese, for tattoo. They decided on a Japanese name to, in a way, go back to their roots. The trio all happen to come from a Japanese background. The second thing the word relates to them as is they all three have a tattoo, different, but similar. Naruto has one around his naval, Gaara on his forehead, and Sasuke on the crook of his neck. None of them look the same, but to why they're there, is where things get interesting. Not one of them gave consent to their mark. Naruto and Gaara, they refer to them as birthmarks since they've had 'em since they were born, for the most part. Sasuke's, well, his is pretty much a mystery. Only a select few, who he chooses, learn of its mysterious appearance.
Their one similarity, that makes them more drawn to each other than anything, is the understanding of losing a parent, or parents, in all three's case. That alone is probably what brought the three together in the first place. And would you believe, it all started out in a Home-Ec class their Senior year?
