Title: Child at Heart: Waiting
Notes: I must warn you…I happen to be a pervert. Lol! Just kidding, but I do find perverted stuff funny to some extent. I was going to change a major scene in this chapter, the Huyga scene to be exact, it was originally going to be different, but being a slight pervert that I am it took a different route when I wrote it, a way different route. The flashback was actually going to be Ino, Hinata, and Sakura playing truth or dare. Sakura being the unlucky one in the group gets dared into something very embarrassing, hence the naked Sakura. Maybe I'll add that in a future chapter, because I really wanted it in the story.

"Damnit Sasuke!!! Why the hell did you do that you bastard?!?"

Naruto yelled while pointing an accusing finger at him. Sasuke just regarded him before simply releasing a frustrated sigh.

Why can't the idiot just keep his mouth shut for a moment? You would think that he would have grown out of it!

His thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of footsteps. Sasuke and Naruto both looked up to see who was heading towards their path.

"Good morning my wanabe-ninjas," the silver haired ninja said.

"Ah Kakashi-sensei, you're early!!" Naruto chirped happily while scratching the back of his head.

The last time Kakashi-sensei arrived early was when Sakura-chan almost got into a fight with Sasuke. She looked so pissed; I wonder what Sasuke-bastard said that made her so upset? She's changed so much, especially her body. What a babe...Man, I could go for some ramen right about now...

"So, are you all ready for this important mission...where's Sakura?" Kakashi peered from side to side, making sure he wasn't mistaken about Sakura's absence.

"I guess having you as a teacher really rubs off," Sasuke sarcastically commented.

Kakashi chuckled at the comment.

The silence was killing her. Hyuga Neji was right beside her and from the corner of her eyes she could see him smirking. That little smirk, which always told her she lost a battle of wits against him. He always made her feel vulnerable, even more so after the little incident at the Hyuga household. She had never been more embarrassed in her life than that faithful night at the Hyuga mansion. To make matters worse Hinata and Ino were present, not to mention Neji of course, he was the cause of her embarrassment.

"Haruno," Sakura jumped when she heard her name roll off from Neji's tongue, "you fidget more than Hinata-sama."

At that moment Sakura knew her face was redder than a tomato. She had not even realized how much she was fidgeting until she was told. She mentally scolded herself and tried once more to regain her cool. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Upon seeing this Neji took the chance to bring up the 'little incident'.

"When will you come over to the Hyuga household? Hinata-sama has been very eager to have you over..." he stopped to make sure he got her attention, "and will you be wearing any clothes this time?"

Sakura suddenly stopped, hands shaking into fists at her sides. Her head was down and her pinks locks were scattered all over her face making it impossible for Neji to see her reaction to his question.

"I...I..."

Sakura whispered slowly raising her head to see Neji in front of her. Her face was feverishly blushing crimson red and her eyes showed much anger. Neji for some reason found her very attractive when she was vulnerable. He loved it when he made her blush or angry. He couldn't believe that Uchiha Sasuke would be so dumb not notice Haruno Sakura more than a teammate.

"I...I already gave you a goddamn reason why I wasn't wearing clothes, you insensitive jerk!!!"

Sakura venomously snapped. Neji was taken back by her sudden outburst, but he quickly regained his composure. He slowly walked towards Sakura and spoke into her ear making her shiver against the feel of his hot breath.

"I guess you did, but it's a shame that you weren't there for another reason," he simply said and began walking towards the bridge leaving a confused Sakura to gather her thoughts.

(Flashback )

It was a beautiful summer night, the weather was not too cold nor too hot, it was just perfect. A young woman made her way through the giant crowd; she was in hurry to get to her friend's house. Her pink hair was tied up into a ponytail and was decorated with summer flowers. The kimono she was wearing consisted of beautiful flower patterns with hues of pink and green.

As she made her way through the crowd she could feel many people steadily watching her. Of course most of them consisted of men. Who couldn't resist seeing Sakura dressed so elegantly, it was a rare occasion and she looked very attractive.

She had an appointment to see Hinata and Ino. They had decided to meet at Hinata's house for a girl's night out. Hinata, Ino and Sakura became very good friends after the Chunin Exam. Each day that passed they spent more and more time together. Sakura and Ino made-up and both decided to stop chasing after Sasuke. Sakura always saw Hinata after training or missions. Hinata and Naruto were inseparable after they began dating. So, of course Hinata and Sakura always saw each other due to Naruto.

Sakura found herself at the gates of the Hyuga household. She gazed at the large house; she still couldn't get over the fact of how big the Hyuga home was. Instead of going through the front doors, Sakura decided to climb through Hinata's window hoping to scare the living hell out of her friends.

She started her way up towards Hinata's window, carefully trying not to ruin her kimono. She suddenly realized how far up Hinata's window was, so instead of climbing down she went through a window that was opened on her right. Sakura knew the house very well. She had been over a lot of times. Sakura slowly walked down the dark hallway, trying not to make noise.

The hallway, which Sakura was walking through, was a particular one because there was a couple of rooms that belong to non other than Neji. She really didn't want to get caught walking in this hallway by anyone, that was also including Neji. There was something about him that made her feel uncomfortable. Every time she saw him her stomach would tighten up, as if she had butterflies in her stomach. She kept denying the fact that Neji had grown up to be very handsome, not to mention a very sexy ninja.

She slowly took one step at a time. She came to halt when she heard a quiet yelp escaping from Neji's room.

Should I check? What if he's injured? No, he's probably having sex with some slut! I should probably check it out, and if Neji is having sex then I can check his body out...Where the hell did that come from?! Oh my God I hope Kakashi-sensei's traits don't rub off onto me...I don't want to be called Big-Perverted-Forehead-Girl!!!

She tried her best to acknowledge the little voice in her head that kept telling her keep going, but a part of her wanted to know what was going on. Another quiet yelp came from Neji's room and upon hearing it Sakura headed towards Neji's room. She stopped at Neji's door and knocked softly.

"Neji-san, are you alright?"

There was no answer. She knocked once more and heard Neji move about in his room. She was starting get worried.

"Neji-san, I'm coming in," she said.

She opened the door and was shocked to see Neji wearing a shirt soaked and dripping of blood.

"Neji!! Are you all right? Speak to me!" Sakura urged.

She ran towards Neji trying to help him in anyway that she could.

"I didn't give you permission to enter, woman!" Neji spat.

"Well its good to see you too," Sakura sarcastically said, "don't move! I'm going to get some water and towels to clean you up. Do you have any clean bandages?"

Neji nodded, he didn't want to bother trying to argue with her in his current state.

"You can find everything in my bathroom," Neji said while pointing towards the bathroom. Sakura quickly ran to the bathroom leaving Neji staring at her back. He heard her rummaging through his belongings and when she stepped out from the bathroom she was no longer wearing her kimono, instead she had one of Neji's towels wrapped around her body.

Neji's eyes widened in surprise, he had never seen her wear anything else beside her red dress or kimono, which was only on some special occasions like festivals or parties. The towel managed to show every curve from Sakura's body. He couldn't stop staring at her, which made Sakura a bit uncomfortable.

"I took my kimono off. I didn't want it to get stained with your blood."

She saw Neji mouth an "Oh" and nodded for her to continue. Neji winced in pain as he took his shirt off.

"What happened?" she asked while cleaning his wound.

"Nothing that concerns you," he saw Sakura pout.

After cleaning his wound as best as she could she carefully wrapped it with a clean bandage.

"All finished! Try not to do any heavy training until your wound heals properly. Good thing I took off of my kimono, or else I would have gotten your blood all over it," Sakura chirped.

"Thank you Haruno," Neji replied.

She smiled sweetly at him and she was starting to get up from the ground, but was held back by a tight grip around her waist.

"God!!! What is taking Sakura so damn long?!" Ino complained to her friend who sitting by the window. (HA-HA. Doesn't she sound like Naruto?)

"I'm not sure," was the reply Ino received from Hinata.

"I'm bored. I hate waiting for Forehead-Girl. Hinata-chan do you mind if we take a walk around your house?" Ino asked.

"Not at all, lets go." Hinata said.

Sakura felt her body heating up, she was starting to loose her cool. Neji seeing her reaction decided to pull Sakura closer to his body. He reached out to her neck and pulled her down for a passionate kiss. She broke away from the kiss. Her face a dark shade of red and Neji could see from her eyes that she was confused.

He grabbed her around the waist and hoisted her onto his lap. She didn't protest, and allowed Neji to do what he pleased. His hand slid down Sakura's thighs, while he hungrily kissed her. His hands trailed up to her chest where he quickly removed the towel that was covering Sakura. He let his eyes trail up and down her body watching her breathing becoming more rapid.

I never knew Haruno would be the type of girl to wear this kind of revealing lingerie.

Neji brought his mouth down on Sakura's neck and began nibbling. He heard a satisfied moan coming from Sakura, which pleased him a great deal. He bit a little harder into her neck, which caused Sakura moan louder.

"Neji-niisan, we heard something and..." Hinata stopped dead in her tracks; she was speechless.

"Hinata-chan, what's wrong?" Ino asked.

She moved towards Hinata only to see what caught her full attention. There on the ground was an almost naked Sakura sitting on Neji's lap. Ino could tell by the look on Sakura's face that she was really embarrassed and ashamed, while Neji's face held more of an annoyed look.

Ino and Hinata could not stop staring. They both couldn't believe that Sakura was caught red-handed making out with Neji. Of all the men in the town, Sakura was with Hyuga Neji.

"What?" Neji snorted.

A mirthful laughter came from Ino, soon she began into fits of giggles. Hinata who was standing next to Ino also began giggling. Sakura couldn't take the embarrassment anymore and buried her face into Neji's chest.

"Ha-ha...no....wonder...ha...you...ha-ha...were...ha-he-he...late!" Ino chocked between giggles.

This so fucking embarrassing! Sakura thought.

Neji just shook his head at the two girls giggling at his doorway.

Unfortunately nothing intimate happened that night between Sakura and Neji. Sakura being to embarrassed to even glance or be near Neji, and Neji was too upset because he was interrupted.

Sakura threatened to kill Ino if she told anyone, but knowing Ino she would probably use the incident to her advantage. Sakura could care less if Ino told the whole village, but if Kakashi-sensei were to find out she would never hear the end of it. You could say that Kakashi-sensei was like a very overprotective father or big brother to his students, one that was having trouble registering the fact that his students had grown into responsible adults, well sort of responsible.

(End of Flashback)

Sakura came out from her reverie when she heard Neji call for her. She ran, catching up to his pace. She could still see the little smirk on Neji's lips. They kept silent for a while before Neji spoke.

"Haruno, would you do me the honor of going out on a date with me? That is of course after you come back from your mission."

Sakura was dumbfounded at his question. She just stared at him until she felt another blush creeping up her face.

"I'll take that as a yes," Neji said, chuckling slightly.

Sakura was too numb to answer and just nodded her head. Not far from Neji and Sakura was team seven waiting for their last teammate.

Sasuke meanwhile found the scene a little disturbing and disgusting. For some reason he felt his blood boiling seeing Sakura blushing because of another man not to mention being escorted to a location not was not even far from her home.

"Sakura-chan!!! What took you so long?! We've been waiting for you for about half an hour!!"

Naruto yelled while running towards Neji and Sakura, "are you ok Sakura-chan? Your face is all red. Oh, no! Do you have a fever?"

Neji just stared; he could tell by Sakura's expression that she was becoming annoyed with Naruto's constant questions. He slowly lifted his gaze only to find Sasuke glaring.

Maybe Uchiha is interested in Haruno after all. Well this will really tick him off.

Neji gently put his hand on Sakura's waist and quickly gave her a peck on the cheek.

"I'll see you after the mission," he whispered into her ear.

He left a very surprised Naruto and Kakashi and not to mention a very pissed off Sasuke.
