“̷ 0;you’re kidding right?”

Kakashi sighed as he turned a page in his Icha Icha Paradise book. He knew what was going to happen next, Sakura would question the matter, Naruto would blow up, then Sasuke would insult him and tell him to shut up, starting another argument that would get Sakura upset and she’d end up yelling at Naruto, then Sasuke would find the matter annoying and walk off. He sighed again and turned another page in his book.

“Dude-“ Kakashi readied himself for the arguing.

“THAT’S AWESOME!!”

“NARUTO!! How can this be anywhere near AWESOME?! Did I hit you too hard this morning!?” Demanded Sakura, resisting the urge to pummel him again. Naruto shook his head and threw his arms up for a ‘WOO-HOO!!’ and started to jump around excited. Kakashi sweat dropped when he saw a smirk on Sasuke’s face and started to get a little worried…

“Road trip!! Road trip!!” Cried Naruto excited. Sakura growled at him dangerously.

“You’re EXCITED?! Don’t you remember what happened LAST time?! This is even worse!! It’s WINTER!! That means SNOW-“

“Who are we escorting?” Sasuke asked, assuming it was an escort job like the one they had done four years ago to the land of waves. Kakashi sighed and turned the page to his book once again, figures, Sasuke and Naruto do have THE biggest death wishes… after all, that’s why they were landed with the mission in the first place.

“It’s not that simple I’m afraid…you see, the Hokage has decided that since you three are by far the most powerful young ninja in the village- even though your still technically only Genin- she’d give you a B ranked mission-“ Sakura nearly had a heart attack.

“WHAT?! That means we’ll be getting in a fight for sure!!” Cried Sakura, already not liking the idea of going cross country in the middle of the coldest winter of her life. Naruto had hearts in his eyes.

“A battle?! That sounds SWEET!! Will it be against someone as strong as that Zabuza guy?! Oh! Or maybe-“ Kakashi held his hands up to silence them all, never taking his eyes away from his book.

“You shouldn’t get into a fight as long as everything goes as planned-“

“ ‘you’?! You better mean WE!!” Snapped Sakura, glaring death at Kakashi as she reached for her leather gloves. The Jonin sweat dropped and quickly popped himself up on a high tree branch.

“Um…no, you see, as I was saying, the Hokage thinks that you are the most powerful Genin in the village and won’t be needing me for every little thing anymore. She’s sending me out on a mission of my own, BUT, since I won’t be with you- you get someone else to go with you! She should be here any minute now!” Said Kakashi, quickly hopping to another tree when Sakura punched the one he was in and obliterated it.

“ ‘She’? Who’s ‘She’?” Asked Naruto curiously. Sasuke was silently praying he didn’t mean Ino.

“N-Naruto!” Four pairs of eyes turned around when Hinata made her way to the middle of the bridge, a slight tint to her cheeks, was it because of the cold or was it- something else…? O.o?

“Hyuga’s going to be our extra?” Asked Sasuke none to caringly, Sakura blinked and smiled warmly at her friend and skipped over to her happily.

“Yeah, now, here’s the mission for you.”

“Oh man…*shiver* it’s so c-c-cold!” Cried Sakura as she tightened her jacket around her, she HATED winter with a PASSION!! She was a spring and summer kind of girl! NOT winter! She noticed Sasuke make his way towards the village gates and gave him the best smile she could, not realizing that it kind of made her look like she wanted to eat him. The Uchiha rose an eyebrow and tried not to laugh at her, she looked like she was going to die or something!

“H-how a-are y-you n-not f-fr-freazing!?” Asked Sakura astounded, Sasuke was just wearing his usual black cargo pants, long sleeve shirt and black tactical vest! Not a jacket, not even gloves! She looked down at his feet and nearly fainted when she saw him wearing the open toed sandals! It was snowing!! Sasuke decided to take pity on her and tell her his secret.

“I’m pushing my chakra around so I stay warm. You try.” Sakura blinked and him, blushed, and tried it on herself, quickly taking off her thick jacket and shoving it in her huge travel bag when she started to feel almost hot. She sighed in relief and turned to Sasuke with a real smile on her face this time.

“Thanks Sasuke, you really helped me out!” The Uchiha simply shrugged and leaned against the wood of the village gates. He heard her sigh and cracked an eye open in time to see Sakura bend down to adjust the laces to her knee length boots. He tried to tear his eyes away from her the instant he saw her, but found himself unable to do it.

‘Dose she need to do that right in front of me?’

‘Oh shut up and act like the typical hormonal male teenager you are for once and enjoy the show while it lasts!’

‘SHUT UP!! I don’t need to watch Sakura… bending… over...-GAH!!’ Sasuke shook his head and closed his eyes, a slight tint coming to his cheeks.

‘Oh no you don’t!’ Sasuke frowned, but peeked an eye open, chewing the inside of his cheeks when she leaned her weight on one side and took the boot off all together, she had her leg lifted up and even though she was wearing tight jeans, her legs being open were sending images to his mind.

‘See! You are human!’

‘GO AWAY!!’ Sasuke snapped his eyes closed again and shoved his hands in his pockets. He was a ninja damnit! He didn’t let his feelings get in the way of his mission- besides- it’s SAKURA!! He didn’t care about her or think of her like that! She was a member of his team and-

“Sasuke?”

‘YES!?’ Sasuke frowned and opened his eyes to look at her, she had a small, embarrassed smile on her face and looked a little unsure weather or not she should ask him.

“What?!” He all but snarled at her. Sasuke mentally winced, he didn’t mean it to sound so nasty, he saw Sakura flinch and look down at the ground a bit disappointed.

‘Now look at what you did! Nice job idiot!’

‘Damnit!!’

“N-… never mind, I didn’t mean to bother yo-“

“What?” Asked Sasuke more quietly, the tension taken out of his voice. Sakura looked up at him, once again a little embarrassed but surprised as well.

“I um…-“

“Hey! Sorry we’re late!” Cried Naruto as he ran towards his teammates, Hinata was blushing madly and running with Naruto holding onto her hand. They skidded to a halt next to Sakura, who was still balancing on one leg with her boot in her hand, and nearly made her fall over.

“Watch it Naruto!!” Snapped Sakura, her eyes widened when she lost her balance and started to fall. She tried to bounce around to catch herself, if she fell her clothes would be wet, she’d freeze weather or not she was using her chakra to help her keep warm, and she’d end up sick. Damn the annoying sock for pissing her off enough for her to take her boot off in the first place to adjust!

“Sakura!” Hinata gasped and covered her mouth with her hands, Naruto tried to catch her before she fell but missed by half a hair, and closed his eyes, waiting for her to scream when the ice hit her. She was gonna be SOOO mad….

“I thought you were gay!” Cried Naruto, gaping at the situation his friends were in. Sakura was going down, and Sasuke caught her, simple right? …no.

‘Are you going to hold her shirt all day? It would be a good thing in my opinion if you did.’

‘Is he gonna hold your shirt all day? It would be awesome if he did!’

Sasuke blinked and changed his grip from her, ahem, chest, to her shoulders and helped her up properly. Naruto noticed Hinata unconscious in the snow behind him and quickly helped her up and brushed the snow off of her before it melted while Sasuke helped Sakura balance while she quickly put her boot back on.

“R-right, let’s get going then.” Muttered Sakura, quickly leaving through the village gates behind Sasuke, who nobody could tell was arguing with himself.

‘Why did I have to grab her?!’

‘Because she would have fell if you didn’t.’

‘I should have just let her fall!’

‘Hey! Don’t get pissed at her- you could just as easily grabbed her shoulders or her arm! You didn’t have to grab her-‘

‘Don’t turn this around on me!! I just-‘

‘*grin* Admit it, you wanted to feel her up.’

‘NO!!’

‘Just accept your inner pervert- you’ll be a lot happier if you do-‘

‘I AM NOT A PERVERT!!’

‘Suuuure you’re not…’

‘I’m NOT!!’

‘Have you forgotten something? I AM you, so I know weather or not, you are or aren’t, infact, a pervert. PERVERT!!’

‘SHUT UP!!!’

Kakashi watched as the four teenagers walked along the snowy path from his perch on a high tree branch. Kurenai silently landed next to him and watched as they walked silently, a smirk on her face.

“Are you sure this is going to work?” She asked, turning her head towards him with a smug, yet curious look. He rolled his eye and pulled out his Icha Icha paradise book.

“Positive.”

Naruto: Hey, this is a kind of short chapter. Usualy all your story chapters are like ten or more pages long!

Buni: I KNOW that you blonde pin head! I’m already pissed about it!

Sakura: Why didn’t you just make it longer then?

Sasuke: Then she would have had to made me argue with myself longer and just make the chapter a bad one.

Hinata: She could have just told the readers why Naruto and I were together.

Buni: I could do that Hinata, but I want to leave it a mystery for the readers.

Naruto: Oh be quiet Buni! That Kakashi and Kurenai cliffhanger was a killer! I’LL tell the readers-

Sasuke: Shut up looser.

Naruto: What was that pretty boy?!

Hinata and Sakura: *sigh* There they go again…
