Hinata: Mayu-san... what's going on?
"I have no clue... but it can't be good considering everyone else is asleep," I thought standing. Suddenly there was an explosion over where the Hokage was! Something big is going down right now! And I think it's about Sasuke! I quickly ran over to the edge and jumped.
"Mayu…!" I heard Kakashi call to me. I used the Chakra to stick to the wall as I ran down. I ran over to Sasuke.
"H-Hinata…? What the heck is going on?" Sasuke asked.
"It's Mayu talking!" I corrected. "And I'm not completely sure myself... but whatever it is... it's not good!"

When the smoke had cleared from where the Hokage was, I saw that the Kazekage was holding the old man hostage. Then suddenly some kinda purple rectangle shaped thing appeared on top of the building. "What's going on?" Sasuke asked, he sounded confused.

"Stop, Gaara!" Temari's voice made me turn to her. She and Kankuro were standing near Gaara. Gaara was still holding his shoulder where he bled.

"I'll kill you...!" he said and slowly started to come towards us, but Kankuro had stepped in front of him before he could get more than two footsteps.

"There's no point fighting him any longer!" he said.

"Do not forget our mission!" Temari joined in. Gaara just pushed Kankuro out of his way and glared at Sasuke. Suddenly, this guy with his face half covered appeared in front of the three.

"What are you three doing!?" he asked looking at them. "The mission has commenced already." I then saw Gaara grab his head and he started grunting in pain.

"What was it?" I thought. "Think Mayu! What mission are they talking about!?" That's when a guy appeared in front of Sasuke and I...! The announcer guy?

Hinata: His name is Genma....

"Oh… Yeah…!" I thought.

"What in the hell is going on!?" Sasuke demanded to know. I looked back to Gaara when I heard Temari say his name; he had fallen to his knees.

"What's wrong?" Kankuro asked.

"Gaara-kun...!" I thought. "What is happening to you?"

"The wound is more serious than we thought," Temari said bending down Gaara's level. I had to keep myself from glaring at Sasuke. "And he has used up most of his Chakra."

"Then he can't use 'it'...?" the half-faced man asked.

"It...? What does he mean it?" I thought.

"He can't use it now," Temari answered.

"Fool! That's what happens... for trying to turn into the complete possessed form without waiting for the signal," half-face said.

"What should we do now!?!" Kankuro asked/yelled. "You want us to do this without Gaara!?"

"What are they planning?" I thought. "Don't tell me they were planning on doing whatever it is they're doing with Gaara's other...!"

Hinata: What do you mean?

"I'm not sure, Hinata...." I answered her.

"Gaara is the Sand's trump card," half-face said. "We must have Gaara fight no matter what. You three temporarily get away from here and treat Gaara's wounds. Once Gaara's Chakra recovers... we will resume the mission."

"I understand," Kankuro said and then picked up Gaara.

"What about you, sensei…?" Temari asked, so he is their sensei.

"I will stop these guys," he answered facing us.

"You think that you're going to have it your way?" Genma asked.

"I will make it happen," Gaara's sensei said. I could practically feel the sweat dripping from Genma's face. "GO!" half-face yelled at his students. The two along with Gaara jumped over the giant wall.

"Is Orochimaru the promotor of this party?" Genma asked.

"Orochimaru…?" I thought as I felt my anger rushing throughout my body. "OROBASTARD!!! This is his entire fault!"
"I don't know," was the half-faced man reply; he grinned. "Let's enjoy it for now."

"Sasuke," Genma said making both of us look at him. "Sorry, but the Chuunin Exam ends here. You are Chuunin level already. If you are a ninja of Konoha, be useful to Konoha."

"So you want me to resume the fight and beat up Gaara, right?" Sasuke asked.

"Oh, so I guess they forgot I was here!" I thought frowning.

"Don't chase him to far, though," Genma said. "From here on, it's not an exam. It's the real thing."

"It's the same thing!" Sasuke said and then looked at me. "Stay here!" and then he ran off.

"You're not leaving!" half-faced man yelled throwing two kunais at Sasuke, but Genma deflected them by throwing two kunais of his own. The four weapons collided and fell to the ground. I waited until I saw Sasuke disappear over the wall before I too, ran and jumped over the wall. I think I heard Genma calling after me, but hey! My name isn't Hinata now, is it?

Hinata: You are so defiant, Mayu-san...

"Sas uke! Slow down a bit!" I yelled up to him. I saw him turn his head a little.

"You’re a moron! I told you to stay!" he yelled. The two of us had been running for about five minutes now and that was the first thing he said to me! How rude!

"Like I ever listen to you anyway!" I said grinning a little. Suddenly, Sasuke stopped causing me to halt so I didn't bump right into him. "What's wrong?" I asked. Sasuke knelt down and picked up some dirt, he then turned his hand and let it fall. "Sasuke is so weird..." I thought.

"They've been through here," Sasuke said and then stood. "Let's move!" I nodded and quickly ran after Sasuke who had run ahead already.

Temari and Kankuro were still running. "What a persistent guy!" Kankuro thought frowning.

"We have extra pursuers now... three..." Temari thought glancing back. "No... Four! One’s extra with that Uchiha kid!" Temari looked back at Kankuro. "We're going to pick up our pace!"

"Hai!" and with that two increased their speed.

"Mayu, they've increased their speed!" Sasuke said to the girl. "We're going to have to move a lot faster! Are you up for it?"

"Of course I am! Right now, I'm only using my speed," Mayu said.

"What? I thought you said you weren't a ninja!" Sasuke said glancing at Mayu/Hinata.

"I'm not! I guess my speed increases when I'm here," Mayu said. "Besides, when I left Sakura's body before, I trained harder and more frequently."

"Then just how strong is she?" Sasuke thought. "I mean, she left almost two months ago and it's been a month here.... Meaning that if she trained more than once a day, per day of those three months... I wonder... if I could beat her. What am I thinking? Of course I can!"

"Hey… Sasuke! Sasuke! SASUKE, YOU'RE ABOUT TO RUN INTO A TREE!" Mayu yelled.

BAM! Too... late!

Sasuke fell to the ground with a loud thump. Mayu stopped and jumped down to the swirly-eyed Sasuke. "I don't even want to know what you were thinking about!" Mayu said shaking her head. “Are you okay?”

"S-Shut up, I’m fine!" Sasuke said standing up; he stumbled quite a bit before standing up straight.

"Whatever! Let's go! We probably let them get further ahead," Mayu jumped up into a tree and ran from there. Sasuke shook his head and followed after her.

The three were still running, Pakkun, Naruto and Sakura. "Don't get to hasty, Sasuke!" Naruto thought.

"Sasuke-kun...!" of course, Sakura thought.

"Wait a minute! I just thought of something?" Naruto said making Sakura look at him. "Why didn't you wake Hinata-chan up?"

"Kakashi-sensei said that she went with Sasuke... to fight Gaara," Sakura answered.

"WHAT?" Naruto shouted. "Then why the hell are we going this slowly? PICK UP THE PACE, PEOPLE!" Naruto yelled sprinting right next to Pakkun, so that Sakura was the only one behind.

"What's gotten into him lately?" she thought watching Naruto pick up even more speed. Sakura had to move faster to keep up with him and Pakkun.

Temari pressed her ear to the trunk of the tree. The three sand ninja had stopped to sense where their pursuers were. Gaara was still unconscious. "How do things look, Temari?" Kankuro asked. Temari looked up in the direction that had come from.

"They're close...." she answered.

"They…? I thought it was only that Uchiha kid and those other brats," Kankuro said.

"No, he's traveling with someone... it might be that girl that was there before we left the arena," Temari said. "They will be here any minute."

"Damn it, what should we do, then?" Kankuro asked.

"Just leave it to me...." she said and then seemed to bite on... wire.

"How much further, Sasuke…?" Mayu asked maneuvering through the trees.

"They've seemed to have stopped, so not much longer," Sasuke said. Suddenly a light caught their eyes; they turned to see that an explosion was happening right behind them. To get out of the way of it explosion the two jumped. "Mayu, stay with me!" Sasuke yelled loudly even over the other explosions that they had to dodge. When they finally made it through all the explosions, the two were upside down clinging to a tree branch.

"Jeez! You'd think they want us dead," Mayu chuckled lightly; Sasuke smirked and muttered a 'moron'.

"What were those sounds?" Sakura asked stopping. Naruto jumped down from a tree followed by Pakkun... right on his head.

"Explosions," Pakkun said. "They were most likely traps set up for Sasuke and Hinata."

"Is Sasuke-kun okay?" Sakura asked.

"Forget Sasuke! What about Hinata-chan?" Naruto asked. "But then again, she won't die so easily. Sasuke won't either."

"I hope you're right...." Pakkun thought.

"We've finally caught up," Sasuke said making Temari and Kankuro look at the two. Mayu was standing next to Sasuke. "This is it for you all."

"Damn it..." Kankuro muttered.

"Uchiha, Sasuke...." Temari said and then looked at Mayu.

"Hyuga, Hinata... in this body at least...." she muttered the last part. "You can refer to me as Mayu!"

"Mayu…?" Temari thought, she glanced at Gaara. "Could this be the same Mayu I heard Gaara say that one time?"

"What the heck was with the explosions? I could have died!" Mayu said.

"That was the point!" Temari said glaring.

"Oh...." Mayu said. "Well damn! And here I was thinking... we could be friends!"

"Stay focused!" Sasuke said.

Sasuke balanced a kunai knife on his finger. "You're not going anywhere, now," he said making Mayu roll her eyes.

"You are such a show off!" she said shaking her head; Sasuke flinched and almost had dropped the kunai.

"Would you focus all ready!?" he yelled. "I knew you shouldn't have come!"

"Well, it’s too late now!" Mayu said sticking out her tongue.

"You are impossible!" Sasuke yelled.

"Well, you're a bird brain!" Mayu yelled back.

"And you're a little moron!"

"I dare you to say that again!"

"Fine! YOU ARE A LITTLE MORON!!"

"BRAT!"

"IDIOT!"

Meanwhile, Kankuro and Temari looked on with sweat drops down their heads. "Why are they fighting each other?" he thought watching them yell at each other.

"STUCK UP, TORI!"

"MANIAC!"

"PERVERT!!"

"Hey! We're still over here!" Temari informed them, but they still didn't look her way. "I should just kill 'em now!" she muttered.

"MENTALLY CHALLENGED, FREAK!"

"SLUT, BAG, HO!"

"What?"

"Never mind…! Let's just get back to the task at hand, bird brain!" Mayu said turning her eyes to the sand ninja; Sasuke did the same, the fight they just had completely forgotten. Temari's eye twitched and Kankuro just had another sweat drop.

"Sasuke and Hinata have stopped," Pakkun informed. "We have quite a distance away from him, though."

"They already caught up with them..." Naruto thought. "Sasuke... Hinata-chan...! Please be okay."

"This scent...." Pakkun said stopping causing Naruto and Sakura to stop next to him.

"What's wrong?" Naruto questioned.

"Did something happen to Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked.

"I didn't notice until now, but..." Pakkun started. "You use the same shampoo as me." Sakura turned white in disbelief. "The scent is floral green... I'm sure of it!"

"Hey...!" Naruto shouted.

"But, my hair is much glossier," he continued looking at Sakura.

"Don't bring up something stupid like that in such a serious situation!" Naruto shouted at the dog.

"I use the same thing as a dog...?" Sakura said herself. "... Same thing as a dog?" she muttered.

"Sakura-chan…?" Naruto said as Sakura began hopping away in a weird state chanting 'I use the same thing?' "Sakura-chan…! Wait!" Naruto ran after her.

"Hey! Don't go ahead of me!" Pakkun shouted at the two Genin.

It had become some what brighter as the four stared at each other. Every so often, Mayu would glance at Gaara. "He's still out?" she thought.

"Damn... Of all the people, this kid caught us when Gaara's like this..." Kankuro thought. "This is really bad."

"Gaara-kun... I wonder if he remembers... if he does then... I don't know if I can--" Mayu's thoughts were interrupted.

"Bring it on, then," it was Kankuro's voice.

"No Kankuro, you go on ahead... I will handle these two," Temari said.

"Are you sure?" Kankuro asked.

"Yes, now go!" she answered. Kankuro nodded and then ran off.

"Mayu, go after him... I'll stop her and then catch up to you," Sasuke whispered.

"Okay... remember what I told you about that fan of hers!" Mayu said and then jumped away.

"That girl... maybe I should have stopped her...." Temari thought, she then shook her head. "No, Kankuro will be just fine."

Mayu's POV

I watched as Kankuro suddenly stop, making me halt. He set Gaara down and smirked at me; I rolled my eyes. "You actually think you can take me on?" he asked.

"Look ya make up wearing freak! I can definitely fight and win against you of all people!" I yelled.

"What? I dare you to say that again!" Kankuro yelled; I think I hurt his little pride!

"Look, my concern isn't you right now!" I said.

"Yeah, you're wanna try and kill Gaara while he's hurt! Well, I won't let you!" Kankuro said and then he jumped at me.

I jumped up also, but I went right past him and straight to Gaara. I kneeled down in front of him and put a hand on his head. "Hey! Get away from him!" I heard Kankuro shout at me. I turned and glared at him.

"Can't you see I'm not trying to hurt him?" I said and then turned back to Gaara. "Sasuke hurt you, Gaara-kun... you're not used to physical pain, are you?"

"Gaara-kun...?" Kankuro muttered.

That's when I felt Sasuke's energy heading this way! "Hurry! Take Gaara-kun!" I ordered. "We don't have much time!"

"You're helping me?"

"No…. I’m helping Gaara-kun! Now go!" I said jumping back to where I was before. I saw Kankuro pick Gaara up and run off without a word. I then took out a kunai and slit the sleeve of Hinata's blue shirt. "Sorry `bout that, Hinata."

Hinata: Forget about that, why did you...?

"No matter what the risk... I can't hurt him...." I muttered.

"Mayu!" I heard Sasuke's voice; I turned just in time to see him land in front of me. "What happened?"

"He managed to nick me with a shuriken, but I deflected it before it reached my skin," I lied. "I think they're only a few yards away now."

"Okay, let's go!" he said taking off, I quickly followed him.

"By the way, what happened with Temari?" I asked.

"She wasn't a problem," I heard him answer smug-like.... Still the same cocky bird brain...!

“Whatever! Let’s just go already!” I said.

“What’s wrong now?” Sasuke asked. I grinned slightly.

“Oh, nothing! You’re just the same ol’ bird brain!” I said, I heard him grumbled something. Not to mention he was glaring at me. “I just hope you stay that way….”

“What was that?”

“Um… nothing! Forget it!” I said. “I’ll just have fun with him while he’s still here,” I thought. “Even then, maybe I could I stop him from leaving. But that would change the story line completely…. Should I risk it? I mean, Orochimaru’s going to take over Sasuke’s body if he leaves. Maybe I should at least warn him?”

“Mayu, there he is! I’m going on ahead of him, you stay behind,” Sasuke said.

“Yes sir!” I said giving a two-finger salute; Sasuke sighed and shook his head. He then jumped up; I’m guessing he’s going to say something cocky again.

“Don’t run away,” Sasuke said smirking.

“I thought so…!” I thought; my face was probably like this. -. -; “He is such a little weirdo.”

“So I’ll be fighting you then,” Sasuke said.

I saw Kankuro set down Gaara, maybe I should- “Fine then, bring it on!” Kankuro said moving a little towards Sasuke. I took this time to quietly sneak over to Gaara. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Sasuke watching me, but I ignore it and put Gaara’s arm over my shoulder; I lifted him up slightly only to put him down again.

“Jeez! Who knew Gaara weighs a ton?” I thought. “Kankuro makes it look so easy!” I tried again and this time I actually lifted him off the ground completely.

I jumped on the same branch that Sasuke was on. “HEY! How’d you get him?” I heard Kankuro ask.

“Good job, Mayu,” Sasuke said turning to me a little. “You’ve managed to capture the enemy.” I put my head down when I heard him say that.

“I’m… I’m sorry, Sasuke….” I whispered.

“Huh…?” I heard him say before I took off.

I had left Sasuke with Kankuro a little over two minutes ago. I could sense there were two others with them. “I hope they’re not more Konoha ninja or I’m in really big trouble!” I thought sighing. Suddenly, I felt Gaara moving around a little, so I stopped. “Gaara-kun, can you walk?” I asked softly.

“W-Who are you?” he asked.

“Mayu, silly! I’m your friend, remember?” I asked.

“You’re lying…!” Gaara said clutching his head. I shook my head and began performing the hand signs for the clone jutsu; a cloud of smoke appeared. “It is you!”

“Yeah… Hinata let’s me use her body from time to time,” I explained. “Say hi, Hinata!”

“Gah!” was what came out of her mouth; I sighed and went back into her body.

“Sorry `bout that! She’s a little shy….” I said rubbing my head.

Gaara didn’t say anything; he just looked behind me. “Mayu… move,” he said.

“Huh…? Well, let me at least take a look at that wound,” I said, but Gaara just pushed me into a tree! “Man, we really need to work on those people skills of his!” I thought as I try rubbing my now aching back.

“M-Mayu…!” a voice made me look up towards where the voice was coming from; I saw Sasuke standing a few feet away, he was staring at me in disbelieve. “You… w-were trying to help him all this time?” I looked down in shame…. Wait a minute, why do I have to be ashamed?

“I’m sorry, Sasuke… but Gaara’s my friend now and I’d do anything to protect him!” I said.

“Even… betraying Konoha…? Betraying me…?” Sasuke said.

“Hey! Don’t go trying to put me on a guilt trip! I know you might think what I did was wrong, but I did what my body, heart and soul told me to do!” I said. “I love Gaara! I’ve always loved him!” I saw the very shocked and surprised expressions on the two boys’ faces; I rolled my eyes and sighed. “Not like that! I meant love like a friend!” I said. “Are all boys idiots…?” I thought. “Even Gaara-kun?”

"So then…. What about me?" Sasuke asked. "Am I not your friend?" Mayu put her head down and gulped.

"You... are…." she said picking her head back up. "But you and Garra are two different people. Gaara-kun is precious to me, he needs what you already have... and that's why I side with him."

"I... I'm precious to her...?" Gaara thought clutching his head; it had started to hurt again.

"So then I have no choice," Sasuke said bowing his head slightly.

"Hinata," Mayu thought.

Hinata: Yes...?
"You do not have to side with me, I'll understand if you do not wish to," Mayu thought. "You have a choice."

Hinata: Mayu-san... I... I'm sorry, but I have to side with my homeland.

"I understand..." Mayu said and then performed the hand signs for the clone jutsu; a cloud of smoke appeared and after it vanished Hinata stood in front of Mayu. "But I do not want you to get hurt. Please leave... Hinata…." Hinata nodded her head and jumped up; she didn't leave and she wasn't going to, luckily Mayu didn't notice. "The same goes for you, Sasuke. I still consider you as a friend and I do not want you to get hurt either."

"I am a ninja of Konoha and I will fight for Konoha," Sasuke said. "Even if I consider you a friend as well...." Even though he said this, Sasuke had doubts. "I don't want to fight her as my enemy! I don't want to hurt her.... If I do fight her, I'll just hold back," he thought frowning. "Then what's the point of fighting at all."

"Mayu, I told you to get out of the way," Gaara said. Mayu looked back at the red head and then looked back at Sasuke.

"Sasuke, you can still get out of here," she thought moving behind Gaara.

"Gaara!" a female's voice interrupted the silence. The three turned to see Temari a few feet from them.

"So the gang's all here... well, almost..." Sasuke said smirking. "I don't know what you Sand guys are planning.... But I will stop you! And I will determine what your true identity is!"

"True identity...?" Mayu muttered. "What are you talking about Sasuke? You're already talking to the real Gaara! You make Konoha ninja look bad!"

"You stay out of this!" Sasuke yelled. Mayu attention was diverted when she heard the sounds of Gaara grunting.

"Gaara-kun…! What's wrong?" she asked going over to him; she saw that his sand armor was cracking! "What's happening to you!?"

"Girl! Get away from him!" Temari yelled to Mayu, but she was ignored.
"Gaara-kun...." Mayu said.

"You are strong..." Gaara said still holding his head. "You are called Uchiha. You have friends. You have goals. You are similar to me. By killing you, I can exist in this world as the one who erased your existence! I will be able to feel alive!"

"What? Gaara-kun, no! You don't have to kill Sasuke!" Mayu said going in front of him, blocking Gaara's view of Sasuke.
"I told you to move!" Gaara yelled pushing Mayu aside.

"Gaara-kun...!" Mayu thought backing up a little.

"Don't forget... You are my...." Gaara stooped short because he was grunting in pain again. Mayu went right back to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"You're... my...!" Gaara still didn't finish because some kind of thing was coming out of him! Sasuke's eyes widen as sweat ran down his face.

"M-Mayu! Get away from him!" he yelled making the girl look at him. "Mayu...! Move it!"

But it was too late, whatever that thing was that came out of Gaara had struck Mayu sending her over the edge of the tree. Sasuke quickly jumped down and caught her before she reached the bottom. "PREY!!" Gaara finally finished. Temari looked on with a scared look clearly written on her face.

"It's begun...." she thought. Meanwhile, Sasuke was looking at Mayu in concern; she hadn't opened her eyes yet.

"Mayu, are you okay...?" he whispered. Mayu slowly opened her eyes and frowned.

"But, mommy…! I don't want to go to school today!" she clung to the surprised and blushing slightly Sasuke. "I want to stay home and make cookies with you!"

"Mayu, snap out of it!" Sasuke said smacking her lightly.

"Itai!" Mayu said and then shook her head. "Sasuke, I thought that you were going to fight me... not save me." Sasuke shook his head.

"Forget about that, now! It doesn't matter anyway," he said.

Mayu looked at Sasuke, blinked and then said: "Sasuke! Watch out!" Sasuke instinctively moved out of the way, just in time too. Gaara's monster half had just struck the place where the two once stood. "Well that was close!" Mayu said getting out of Sasuke's hold.

"He's outta control already... I don't think anyone can calm him down at this point...." She looked at Sasuke and frowned. "You're going to have to fight him... at least until Naruto shows up."

"I don't need Naruto's help! I can do it on my own!" Sasuke said.

"Move now!" Mayu said jumping to another branch and Sasuke followed; Gaara was still attacking and he'd almost got the two. "Look, Sasuke... I know you think you're big and bad cuz you got that Lightning Edge, but Gaara has a demon inside him. Trust me; you wouldn't want to fight Gaara for a long period of time!"

"Go!" Sasuke said jumping to another branch; Mayu followed just as Gaara's thing landed. "Then Naruto's not going to stand a chance!" was the two touched the branch.

"Yeah... but--"

"Are you scared of me?" Gaara asked interrupting what Mayu was about to say. The two hid behind a large tree.

"I don't think he recognizes me any more," Mayu said. "Sasuke... I'm not as strong as you or Naruto when it comes to real fighting.... This may be the last time you see me." Sasuke didn't say a word; Mayu frowned at him. "You're supposed to say 'No! You're just as strong! We will survive together!' not just stand there looking like... an idiot!"

"Quit trying to sound like me!" Sasuke said. "And most of that stuff is true, you're not as strong as me... and that's why... I'll protect you." Mayu was silent for a couple of moments; she then smiled at Sasuke.

"You are... unpredictable, Sasuke," she said patting his head.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sasuke asked grabbing her hand.

"I'll tell ya later... if I feel like it!" Mayu grinned pulling her hand away from Sasuke. "Okay, do you have a plan?"

T HANKS FOR ALL THE REVIEWS!!! I HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS CHAPTER! Some people said that nothing really happened in the last chapter. So I decided to make this chapter longer! 22 PAGES!! Aren't I cool? The reason it's late is because my stupid computer is acting up! IT WON'T LET ME WORK!! So, I'M using the school's computers! By the way, what school do you go to? Anybody…?
