Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Naruto...my friends...soo don't mix! ❯ Day 2 ( Chapter 4 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

This time Paige woke first, then woke me up.

“Thanks a lot Paige.” I said sarcastically. I was so tired.

I got up, got dressed, and woke up everyone else with my Beatles CD. Only Tristan, and Paige enjoyed it apart from me.

I went off to the ramen shop with Samantha still fricken tired. Again we brought the luggage. I gave Tristan the job of checking out.

At about 2 o' clock, a few hours before I would get off Naruto, and Konohamaru walked into the shop.

“Oy Konohamaru, Naruto, what do you want?” I asked them, then realized what I'd just done, but pretended as if it hadn't happened.

“How do you know our names?” Naruto asked.

I thought fast. “You were in here before.” I said to Naruto. “And who doesn't know you?” I asked Konohamaru. I suppose they believed it since there was no further questioning.

I simply took their order, but while they were eating Samantha found it necessary to talk to them.

“You know Tori thinks you're pretty interesting.” She told Naruto.

“Who's Tori?” He asked.

I rolled my eyes. Why'd she have to say that? She was being such an idiot. “That'd be me.” I said annoyed.

“You think I'm interesting?” Naruto asked. “But how would you know if I'm interesting or not?”

“Umm… well I've just seen you around town, and heard about you.” I said carefully, then smiled nerously. “Samantha please, not again.” Then came her power to read me. She understood immediately what she'd done.

“Oh sorry.” She said. I smiled.

“Hey Konohamaru.” He looked at me. “Where's Ebisu?”

“I don't know.” He said. “Who cares anyway? I hate him.” I nodded.

I laughed as I placed the bowls in front of the two boys. “Who wouldn't he really is a jerk.” I said. “Why can't he just call you by your name?”

“Yeah.” He said. “It bugs me too.” He crossed his arms.

I sighed. Naruto was so lucky. The next day he'd get to meet Kakashi. Apparently I must've went into dream mode or something like that, because Samantha found it necessary to read me again.

“What's she thinking?” Naruto asked Samantha.

“She thinks you're lucky.” Samantha said. “Because you're gonna get such an awesome teacher in her opinion that is.”

“Iruka Sensei?” Naruto asked taking me out of my thoughts. “I've known him for a long time, but how do you know him?”

“Heh.” I laughed. “Not Iruka.”

“Then who?”

“You'll find out soon enough.” I said adjusting my wristband.

“You're gonna kill me with that.” Tristan said walking into the shop.

I scowled at him. “How about you stick to your own business?” I asked him. He sat down on a stool next to Naruto. “Where's your sister?”

“Coming.” He said. “Can I use your laptop?”

“Fine, just don't screw with my information.” I said. “It's in the back.” He glared, then went, and got it, as I got to the dishes.

He came out with it put it on the counter, and sat down.

“Hey are you gonna write anymore of that Harry Potter story thing?” Samantha asked.

“Eh, if I have time.” I said. “Though it doesn't exactly matter considering we're here I can't post it.”

“I know but…” Samantha began, but was cut off by Tristan.

“Hey how come you have all these versions of Pee Wee's playhouse theme song on your computer?” He asked.

“They're not mine.” I said truthfully. “They're Tiffany's she wants to use them as ringers. I prefer to just record stuff on my dad's phone, and send it to mine.”

“So your saying Tiffany Ishihara likes Pee Wee's playhouse?” He asked.

“She's not famous.” I said annoyed. Here it was again the whole Tiffany Ishihara thing. Everyone at the high school in drama knew who she was, but I couldn't even get into the second play I tried out for, when less talented people got in.

“She should be.” He said. I let out a low growl. I hated this. I finally got away from her, and she still found a way to ruin my life.

Samantha knew what I was feeling, and kicked Tristan.

“Thank you Samantha.” I said, then she smiled.

“Hey can we watch Rent tonight?” Paige asked walking into the shop with Haley, and Stacy.

“I don't know…” I said.

“Why not?” She asked.

“Just please.” I gave her a look saying I'm really not in the mood.

She nodded. They began talking to Naruto, and Konohamaru I preferred to stay out of the conversation. After the two of them left I got off work, and we went to the hotel. I put on Rent, since Paige was practically begging.

After a little while there was a knock on the door. I got up, and answered it after hiding the copy of Naruto I'd been skimming for information.

“I Iruka…?” I said upon opening the door.

“Huh?” He said. “You know who I am?”

“Oh yeah, I've seen you at the ramen shop.” I quickly lied.

“Right.” He said. “Well Lord Hokage would like to talk to you.”

“But what about my friends?” I asked amazed.

“He said just to tell them where you'll be, and not to leave the hotel room.” Iruka answered.

“Oh ok.” I said then turned to my friends. “Hey guys.” I paused the video, and they looked at me. “I have to go talk to Lord Hokage, you all need to stay here. Haley Stacy Paige you make sure Tristan doesn't screw with my stuff. Samantha keep everyone in the room.” They nodded. “Alright I'll be back.” Then I followed Iruka out of the room.

He walked me through the town until we got to the Hokage's home. He brought me to his office.

I stood in front of the Hokage. “Ms. Ishihara.” I looked at him nervous. “My grandson tells me you know a good deal of him, and Uzumaki.”

“Well yes.” I said nervously.

“I've come to the conclusion, by what I've seen, and heard you have an ability of knowing.” My mouth dropped open. “And since you seem to know a lot about Uzumaki I figure it might help him to have you around keeping track of him, and his team.”

I nodded thoughtfully. “So pretty much you think I'm psychic, and want me to advise cell 7?” I asked. He nodded. “Alright, but what about my friends? And how am I supposed to protect myself? I'm no ninja.”

“You, and your friends will be spending the rest of today, and tomorrow morning training with Iruka learning advanced defense techniques.” He said. I nodded amazed. “Iruka will you take care of them?” Iruka nodded, and gestured for me to follow him out.

We went back to the hospital, and got everyone else then went into the forest. We trained all day the six of us got so tired we looked close to faint. But each of us, discluding Stacy, not only pretty much mastered everything, but also found special abilities. I could become invisible, Iruka believes that if Samantha trained that “reading” ability she be able to read minds, Tristan could emit a high pitched noise that had different effects at different levels, Paige could talk, and turn into animals, and Haley could pause enemies.

When we got back we took turns taking showers. I was first that way I could go to bed first which happened.

The next morning Iruka woke us up for more training at around 5. We kept training until we had to go to the genin class.

We took seats in the class just like everyone else, and waited for Iruka, who had left us to talk to the hokage after giving us each a leaf headband. Each of us wore our headband differently. I wore mine like Sakura, Samantha wore hers like a belt, Paige wore hers around her leg, Haley wore hers like a necklace, Stacy added more cloth and wore her like a sash, and finally Tristan was bland and wore his normal. As we waited for Iruka we talked.

I was humming “Today 4 U” and Haley began singing “Now who could foretell that it would go so well but sure as I am here that dog is now in doggy hell.”

We laughed then Paige sang. “I find some of what you teach suspect, because I'm used to relying on intellect but I try up to what I don't know.” I joined in “Because reason says I should've died 3 years ago. Theres only us, theres only this, forget regret or life is yours to miss. No other road no other way. No day but today.”

We laughed. “Another Rent song.” Samantha said. “Don't you know any other songs?”

Being the geniuses we are me and Haley sang “In the end of time there was a man who knew the road, and the writing was a written on the stone. In the ancient times an artist lead the way but no one seemed to understand. In his heart he knew an artist must be true but the legend of the rent was way past due.” We laughed. Another good musical “School of Rock”.

Me, and Stacy looked over, and saw Sakura, Ino and the rest of the girls yelling at each other fighting over who'd get to sit next to Sasuke. Stacy was another one of those annoyingly generic Sasuke lovers. Me on the other hand I figure yeah he's cute, and emo and all that but I prefer my Kakashi. Of course my sworn worst enemy ever Christian Arroyo thought I was a freak for loving my Kakashi, but hey I don't have to fight with anyone but Laraine over Kakashi.
