Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Naruto...my friends...soo don't mix! ❯ Training ( Chapter 10 )

“Toriiiiiiiii!!!!!” the word echoed through my mind annoyingly. Ever since my first little chat with Lilith she couldn't stop talking to me! I didn't mind it's just when the two of us talk we're serious freaks, meaning we can't stop laughing, and she absolutely loved to pick inappropriate times to talk to me. For instance I was currently standing with the other genin and Kakashi waiting to be assigned to tree climbing. “Laraine is here and we wanna talk!!”

“Well A. I'm busy and B. I don't.” I thought back to her.

“Aww please?” Lily pouted. “We're so bored!”

“Well I can't help Laraine with that now can I?” I thought maliciously.

“Think that all you want girlie!” I let a low growl escape, causing Samantha and Paige to look at me. I ignored the two hoping to make it look as if I was mad due to training not Lily.

“Tree climbing?” The genin asked, I laughed lightly.

“You knew we had to do this?” Naruto asked. I nodded.

“Don't ignore me I can control your thoughts!” Lily's voice streamed back into my mind.

I let my head drop. “Leave me alone, and go read fruits basket!”

“Nah, bugging the heck outta you is funner!”

“Sensei I hate to belittle your obviously awesome lesson plan, but we already learned how to climb trees.” Haley said kissing up to the teacher.

“Haley.” I said as if she'd just insulted somebody. “Don't kiss up, it doesn't help your obvious lack of ninjutsu skills!” Laughter filled my mind. I couldn't help but slap the side of my head.

“What in the hell was that about?” Haley asked as if I were some kind of an idiot, causing the laughter to double.

“Lily quit it!! Otherwise next time I see you, you'll be so dead!”

“Are you…punishing yourself for saying that?” Samantha asked amazed.

“Nein.” Lily giggled, she always found it funny when I spoke another language even if it was a simple “no”. “I have my reasons can we get back to training?”

“Before that I have advice for you.” Samantha said. I rolled my eyes.

“Lemme guess. Would it happen to be “Get your head out of the anime books, and into the real world” or “It's simply unhealthy the way you manipulate your power in such a manner”?” I asked half sarcastic half annoyed.

“She's right you know. With both of those. It sometimes amazes me how you memorize details of anime so much.”

“That has nothing to do with her scoldings!” I thought loudly.

“Can we get back to our lesson?” I asked clearly annoyed.

As Kakashi explained what we'd be doing I was so engulfed in simply trying to ignore Lily's singing “To days of inspiration playing hookey making something outta nothing the need to express to communicate.” I didn't realize it when he asked my group to show how it was done, causing me to be last up a tree. We all either hung from the tree, stood on the tree, or sat on it. I sat.

“Lily stop singing before I seriously go crazy.” I thought as I put my head in the palm of my hand.

“Massaqist.” She whispered in my head. “Fine I'll go but if I were you I'd be careful when I eat! Oh By the way! Say hi to Sasuke for me!”

I mouthed “What the heck?” as I lifeted my head from my hand to see Sakura in the tree next to me, and Sasuke, and Naruto on the floor. I leaned back against the tree trunk and began to swing my foot merrily. Then I realized that Stacy wasn't on the forest floor with the boys. She'd never mastered that technique before. I looked at the tree she was standing on. She looked annoyingly cheerful and stupidly proud. I let out a slight laugh.

We all sat eating dinner that night, Sasuke and Naruto were eating like dang pigs due to training. I constantly kept listening in case Lily would swoop in, and bug me. She didn't.

“Tori? Is something wrong?” Samantha asked me.

“Hmmm? Oh n-no why do you ask?” I asked her nervously. I was still awaiting Lily's interruption.

“You seem distracted.” She answered.

“And nervous as heck.” Tristan added.

“Shut up!” I said slapping him in the back of the head.

“That's not her normal temper…” Samantha muttered. “Tori please can I talk to you privately?” She asked louder.

“Umm I guess.” I said slowly and somewhat confused. She got up and walked into the hall gesturing for me to follow.

“Your temper doesn't usually go off that fast.” She said. “You're hiding something and I'm gonna figure out what.” She said sharply, then walked back to the table.

“Harsh.” Lilith said.

“You've been there all along huh?”

“Well sorta…”

“That's evil.” I thought to her harshly. “I can't believe you'd stoop that low!”

I didn't do a damn thing. Samantha said it, not me!”

“You caused it!”

“So? It was just for fun. I never said you shouldn't tell them.”

“Think of it as a secret weapon! My secret weapon! The two of us can always advise one another!”

“Here's a better way to use it as a weapon. Wear your teammates accessories so that way you can communicate with them as well!”

“That is a thought…I'll tell later.”

“Oh and don't forget to wear the ring!”

“What ring?”

“The one I told you about that tells you my mood and health using color, it's in your purse. Remember if it's black I'm in peril, which I remind you, because that damn gang is after me still hating me, ready to kill me.”

“Don't write a poem, I get it. But how can I help you when I'm here?”

“If you use enough chakra you can insert yourself here briefly to at least get me outta danger, anywho I'm off bye-bye!!” laughs echoed in my head than the talking ceased.

“I'm gonna kill her next time I see her.” I whispered than joined the others at the table.
