Chapter 7: The Regret

 

 

 

As much as He didn't want to admit it, Sasuke had to say that he had regretted coming back to Kohona. He should have just stayed where he was with Orochimaru..but, he didn't. Sasuke had to come back and he had to set things right with Sakura. Now, he though bitterly, I have just made things worse. He looked around, then sat on the couch in the living room, where he and Sakura had first made love. Why was this happening to him? Sakura had nothing to do with what was between he and Itachi, but, of course, Itachi's tactic was to get the one's close to him, then shoot them down any way that he could. Sasuke slammed his fist into the side of the couch, the padding absorbing the force so that nothing broke. This was the last straw. No way in HELL would he allow Sakura to get hurt again. If it happened again, He could never be able to forgive himself. Slowly rising, he went back into Sakura's bedroom. As soon as he saw the bruised mark under his love's eye, his mind was made up. This time, he was going to find His brother and Rip his throat out with his bare hands. Sasuke approached the bed quietly and bent over, kissing Sakura's lips softly.

“I'm So Sorry My Love....But..I have to leave again..Please..Forgive me...”

Sasuke slowly slipped his old headband out of his pocket and placed it in Sakura's hand before silently leaving the apartment.

 

 

 

Sakura's eyes slowly opened. She sat up a bit and Looked outside her window. The sun was slowly setting, and it made her think of Sasuke. At the thought, she looked down at her hand and her eyes widened. Why was Sasuke's headband in her hand? Did he leave? With those frantic thoughts, she jumped out of bed with a painful grunt and ran into the living room, her head and heart pounding.

“Sasuke-kun!! SASUKE-KUN!!!!” Her cries were frantic and panicked. Where is he? She thought with her inner side yelling at her.

“Get a Grip!! He didn't Leave!! He promised he wouldn't!!”

“I Know I Know!!! But I have his Headband!!”

“GET A DAMN GRIP!!”

Sakura's hand went to her head with pain. She wasn't going to listen. In her heart, she knew that Sasuke had left again.

“Why..Why Sasuke-kun?..You promised you would never leave...”

Slowly, Sakura fell to her knees as she began to sob softly. He left her again without so much as a goodbye. For some reason, she felt like it was the first time he left, but this time, he was never coming back.
