“I-Itachi …” Haoku stuttered her face turning a light shade of blue.

 

Although Itachi didn't care, he just stared at her emotionlessly as if enjoying her suffering.

Kisame stood hidden behind the shadows of the trees, unable to help or look away.

 

Fear thickened in Haoku's eyes as she stared at the man holding her by the throat.

 

Itachi dropped her and went to sit back down as Kisame finally came out of hiding and went to help the young teen.

 

“You ok?”

 

She opened her mouth to speak but all that came out was a gallon of blood.

 

“Itachi you could have killed her! What were you thinking?” Kisame cried

 

Itachi grinned “That's what I was trying to do … and what I was thinking, Kisame … was none of your business.

 

Haoku clenched her teeth and lunged and Itachi ceasing him by a handful of long black hair.

 

“Ow … you little runt … get off of me!” Itachi cried jumping up with Haoku dangling from his hair.

 

“Never … not until you say sorry … ya big baby!” Haoku yelled

 

“Get `er off `a me Kisame!” Itachi cried running around in circles.

 

Kisame was rolling on the ground full of laughter. “Hahaha … Itachi you're getting beat up by a little girl!”

 

Haoku kicked Itachi in the back of his leg forcing him down onto the ground then she turned her attention towards Kisame. “What did you call me?”

 

“I … uh … um … erm …” Kisame stuttered.

 

Haoku started to walk towards him.

 

“I called you little girl … I'm sorry … I'm sorry …” Kisame whimpered

 

Haoku feel on the ground laughing. “You all are a bunch of babies! Hahaha what losers! I can't believe that you feel for that! It's the oldest trick in the book! I wish I had evidence of that!”

 

Itachi held his head where she had just moments before almost ripped every strand of hair out of his skull. “You're dead you little brat!” Itachi's words dripped venom.

 

“Oh no … I'm so afraid … the big sissy is going to hurt me!” Haoku taunted

 

“Um … Haoku … I don't think that's very wise …” Kisame muttered

 

“You couldn't even kill you own little brother!” Haoku cried

 

“That's it!” Itachi yelled charging at her.

 

“Eep!” Haoku cried running as fast as she could trying to avoid him, until he eventually caught up and grabbed her by the back of her shirt. “Hehe … so … about that weakling joke … I'm sorry … I'm sorry …I'm sorry … I didn't mean it I don't wanna die!” Haoku wailed

 

“Eh quit your blubbering!” Itachi commanded crabbily dropping her to the ground.

 

“Ow … you certainly like dropping people on the ground … I think you broke my butt …” Haoku whined standing up, again trying to test his patience.

 

“You'd be very wise to hold your tongue Haoku … Hamagichi.” Itachi said cruelly before lying down and falling soundlessly to sleep.

 

“See ya in the morning Haoku-san.” Kisame said lying down and also falling asleep.

 

Haoku waited a moment to make sure they were asleep before sitting down and thinking to herself. ~Who are these people … if they were villains they would have stayed up and watched me or something … right … So … who are they … all I know is that their very strange … and what's with those rings and uniforms … it creeps me out … that's it … that's my decision … I'm going to run~ Haoku stood up and tip toed for around 7 yards before bolting away.

 

Itachi of course awoke at the slightest sound. “Kisame … Kisame … DANG IT KISAME GET THE HECK UP!” Itachi yelled as he shook Kisame franticly.

 

Kisame awoke almost instantly. “Huh … wha … Itachi what do you want?”

 

Itachi grabbed Kisame's head and jerked it towards the spot where Haoku once was. “Do you see anything wrong Kisame?”

 

“No … it's just dirt …”

 

“That's the problem … shouldn't we be seeing some one like … oh … I don't know … HAOKU HAMAGICHI?”

 

“Uh oh …”

 

“Not … not much farther …” Haoku panted. She looked down while she ran trying to avoid the nauseous feeling in her stomach. However while she wasn't paying attention to where she was going she ran into none other than … the ruler of the Akatsuki.

 

He stared down at her with great disturbance.

 

“I … I … uh …” Haoku stood up and ran back through the direction from which she came, only making a few slightly wrong turns she ended up running through a hoard of brambles and other thorns. Once back she collapsed in front of the nice toasty fire and fell asleep even through her excruciating pain.

 

Itachi rolled his eyes obviously disturbed.

 

“What did she climb through … the teeth of the nine tailed fox … she like shredded cheese!” Kisame cried.

 

Itachi kneeled by her and pulled a single bramble from her side. “Hmmm … Doku Toge …”

 

“It's a what?”

 

“Doku Toge … a poisonous thorn found commonly in most bramble hoards … extremely poisonous and futile if they go unchecked … most assassins will actually extract the poison from the thorn and put it on their kunai making it an easy kill.”

 

“How do you know all this?”

 

Itachi sighs “It doesn't matter now Kisame … we have to get this little girl to the Head Quarters before something happens …”

 

Kisame nods and watches Itachi pick up the girl ~… there's something he's not telling me …~

 

“Kisame quit dazing off and let's go!” Itachi ordered still jumping through the trees.

 

~Well … it'll just have to wait …~ Kisame grinned as he caught up to Itachi on the way to Head Quarters.

 

Haoku just can't seem to stay out of trouble, can she?

But will Itachi and Kisame make it in time to save the

`little girl' or will it be too late?

 

“LISTEN MISS ANOUNCER PERSON … DO NOT CALL ME LITTLE GIRL!”
