At the hospital Tsunade and Shizune wait impatiently for the arrival of Kakashi and Naruto. Of the team dispatched for Sasuke's retrieval mission Naruto is the only remaining member yet to return. For the past couple of hours they and a team of Konoha's top Medic team have been fighting to save and treat the returned members of the genin squad. Now that everyone else's conditions are stable, worry for Naruto begins to set in since he has yet to return.

 

Having a medic team on call waiting at the hospital's entrance they wait impatiently for his return. In preparation, Shizune with much difficulty searches and retrieves the medical records of Uzumaki Naruto. Picking up the dusty folder it was apparent that it has not been touched for years. Oddly however the folder was relatively thick compared to the records of the other genins even though it seems to have been untouched for years.

 

Opening the dust covered beige folder the first page appears normal. There is the standard personal information such as name, date of birth, blood type etc. Taking notice of the date on the page, it appears that it was done a few months after Naruto's birth. That by it self was nothing out of the ordinary. However, after flipping to the next page, Shizune realizes that the first two pages are the only pages in the whole folder that has any written records about his physical history and conditions.

 

A frown creases her features in confusion. Every ninja is required to have a routine physical check up every two months. There are not exceptions to that policy, but obviously the doctors have been neglecting to examine Naruto for what seems to be since his birth.

 

Taking a closer look at the pages contained in his folder other than the first page she looked at, Shizune's eyes widen and shock and gasps. Flipping through a few more pages, Shizune slams the folder shut and quickly rushes out of the records office with the thick file securely in her hands.

 

“Tsunade-sama, Tsunade-sama,” Shizune calls out while running into Tsunade's office.

 

Looking up at her distraught assistant, Tsunade quickly responds. “What is it Shizune? Did Naruto return?”

 

Shizune shakes her head negatively. “No, not yet, but please take a look at Naruto's files” Handing Tsunade the thick file, Shizune backs up a bit to wait nervously.

 

Taking the dusty beige folder in her hand, Tsunade curiously flips through its pages. Seeing the second page of the file and its contents, Tsunade's eyes widen in shock and darken in anger. “This can't be,” she mutters angrily. After looking through the rest of the file, Tsunade looks up to Shizune. With shock and anger showing intensely in her eyes, Tsunade angrily spats. “They are trying to kill him. These files are old, but if he is still taking those medications there is no way he should be on active duty.”

 

Just then a nurse knocks loudly on the office door before bursting in. “Hokage-sama, Uzumaki Naruto and Hatake Kakashi have just returned.”

 

Wasting no time, both Tsunade and Shizune rush out to greet the two shinobi. Reaching Kakashi at the lobby of the hospital entrance, Tsunade quickly orders a medic team to take care of Naruto. When Naruto was finally taken away to be cared for; Tsunade calls to Kakashi. “Kakashi wait a minuet I need to have a word with you.”

 

Acknowledging the order, Kakashi stands at attention, “Hai, Hokage-sama.”

 

“Kakashi, I want you to go to Naruto's apartment and bring me any medication he may be taking. I want everything down to the any vitamins or aspirin he been taking,” Tsunade orders.

 

A look of confusion crosses Kakashi's face, but was quickly pushed aside. “Hai” Kakashi promptly disappears to carry out his mission. Reappearing in the living room of Naruto's apartment, Kakashi search the kitchen first. After thoroughly searching the kitchen, he found only some vitamin C, calcium and aspirin, nothing out of the ordinary. The next place to search is the bed room. Once again nothing was note worthy.

 

His final destination was the bathroom. Turning on the florescent lights in the bathroom Kakashi vigilantly look through the cabinets and till he got to the small cabinet right above the sink. Opening the mirror door of, Kakashi's eyes widen significantly at the contents. Picking up one of the orange bottles, Kakashi takes a closer look at the label. “What the hell is this? Prozac, why is this here?”

 

Slight worry creeps into Kakashi but is quickly pushed aside. His questions can be answered later. Quickly gather up all the bottles in the cabinet, Kakashi place the confiscated medication into a bag and immediately returns to Tsunade. He has no doubt that Tsunade will want to see what he has found.

 

Appearing back at the hospital, Kakashi heads straight to find Tsunade. Finding her in the records room, Kakashi respectfully greets her. “Hokage-sama, I have what you requested,” Kakashi says while handing her the bag with the items he confiscated.

 

Tsunade anxiously receives the bag, and with out hesitation opens the bad to look at the contents. Pulling out one of the many bottles, Tsunade quickly reads the labels confirming her assumptions.

 

Unable to hold back his questions anymore Kakashi politely interrupts the Hokage's thoughts. “Hokage-sama, why does Naruto have all those medications? Aren't all medication that can possibly affect the consciousness of a shinobi strictly prohibited to those on active duty?”

 

Tsunade nods affirmatively, “Yes that is correct. It seems Naruto have been taking these since he was five. He should not have been given these prescriptions at all, especially at such a young age and since he started attending the academy. He should have been sent to a psychiatrist instead of being put on medication. It is a miracle for him to perform and function properly as a shinobi. There is more too, Kakashi, did you know he has been sexually assaulted as a child?”

 

Eyes bulging out of there sockets, Kakashi sputter disbelievingly. “W-w-what?”

AN: Thanks to all of you that spent the time to read this story. I honestly had no intentions in the beginning to make this a multi-chapter story. It was intended as a one-shot. Once again my muse just popped out of no where and commanded me to write this. I don't think there is any real plot to this story. I am just writing this blindly as I go. Something is for certain though, there will be no romance in this story, there will be possible character deaths, and lots of OOC behavior. If you have yet to noticed, the first chapter has been edited. The song that I have incorporated into the story was removed since it was brought to my attention that it is not allowed.
