A/N: I've come to realize that this story is becoming a fracking epic! (no, I don't watch BSG, I just like saying 'fracking' lol) It's still a long ways away from being finished. *ugh* It's killin' me. I had this problem with Wind and Fire. I just couldn't end it and finally I said fuck it, and now I hate the ending. At this point I don't have the ending of that story posted yet. So, I may revise it some. And things are starting to heat up between Sakura and Sasuke. And now, without further ado chapter 8.
thanks for reading. -Ani
I don't really know why this song inspired this chapter.

Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off-Panic! At The Disco

Is it still me that makes you sweat?
Am I who you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress?
Then think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it.
When the lights are dim and your heart is racing as your fingers touch his skin.
I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck
Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me
Girl I was it, look past the sweat, a better love deserving of
Exchanging body heat in the passenger seat?
No, no, no, you know it will always just be me

Chapter 8

Sakura woke to a fierce pounding in her head and she thought the light was way too bright. She squinted her eyes and looked around, she couldn't figure out how she ended up in a bed. She tried to sit up and felt dizzy. Great, now I feel like I'm gonna puke, she thought laying back down. She tried to think about any thing except the pounding in her head and the nausea.

"Someone kill the lights. Please," she groaned, mercifully the lights dimmed. "What happened?"

"Kakashi nailed you in the face with a steel door," came the quiet reply.

"Naruto?" she asked, knowing full well that the voice was way too quiet to be him.

"To your right," the quiet vioce said.

She looked to her right and saw Naruto curled up on the empty bed to her right. She looked to her left and saw Sasuke sitting on a chair, "What time is it?" she asked him.

"About 4:30am, you've got a slight concussion. there was a cut on your forehead, but Shizune healed it. Can I get you anything?" he asked her, silently pulling her chair closer.

Sakura waited for a wave of nausea to pass and said, "I think I'm gonna puke."

Sasuke chuckled, "Shizune warned us that's how you'd wake up." He picked up the trashcan.

"Help me to the bathroom? Please?" she asked him.

Sasuke helped her get up and walked her to the small bathroom.

Sakura laid back down in the darkened room. She touched the bandage on her head. She wanted to get rid of her headache, but couldn't focus her chakra. On top of that she was still seeing double.

Sasuke was watching her chakra patterns with his Sharingan, so far no one had caught him using it. He frowned and made a few hand signs. He gently placed his right hand on her cheek and let his charka soothe hers. One good thing, he supposed, was he copied alot of medical ninjutsu by watching Kabuto.

Sakura laid back and let his chakra calm her own. The pain was receeding and her vision was starting to clear."When did you learn medical ninjutsu?" she asked him.

He grinned at her, "I picked up a little bit watching Kaubto, mostly pain management and basic first aid."

"Hmm...Maybe you could be a medical ninja or help out at the hospital," Sakura said.

Sasuke considered this for a moment, then said, "I don't even know if Tsunade's going to let me remain a ninja. After all, I am a traitor and no one wants to be healed by a traitor, y'know?"

Sakura thought about it and nodded sadly. Unfortunely, some of the villagers were already saying things like that about him, "Sasuke, I don't consider you a traitor and neither does Naruto. You've always got us."

"I'm really happy to hear that I have you Sakura," he said, brushing a lock of pink hair way from her face and tucking it behind her ear. Sakura nuzzed into his touch, shivering as he brushed his thumb over her lips. They heard someone open the door and he yanked his hand away.

Sasuke leaned back in the chair and watched the nurse bustle around the room, pulling blanket over Naruto and checking Sakura's vitals and eyes. The disdain was quite plain on her face when she looked at Sasuke. He foled his arms over his chest and sighed. He imagined this is what Naruto went through most of his life because of the nine-tailed fox. The nurse stuck her nose up in the air and left the room.

"Sasuke, I'm sorry. I'll say something to Lady Tsunade about her," Sakura said reaching for his hand.

"Meh, do what ever you want, there's always going to be people like her," he said, massaging her hand, letting his chakra pour into her, calming hers.

Sakura leaned back and let his chakra boost hers. "I'm surprised Lady Tsunade didn't seal your chakra, not that I'm complaining."

"It's not that she didn't, she couldn't get seal to hold," he told her.

"Huh, that's strange, she's sannin. Your chakra is a bit different, it's almost like a touch, " she opened her eyes and looked at Sasuke, who was looking at her. His coal black eyes not giving away his thoughts. She looked to her right and saw that Naruto was still asleep. She sat up and swung her legs over the edge of the bed. Looking down at Sasuke, she reached out and put her hand on the side of his cheek.

He turned into her touch and kissed the palm of her hand. He felt her heartbeat speed up, he stood up and looked into her jade green eyes. He tilted his head up, leaned in and kissed her. He ran his hand down her side, coming to rest on her hip, effectively pulling her closer to him. He heard the door open again and broke the embrace, sitting back down.

Lady Tsunade entered the darkened room and immedately picked up on the arousal in the air. She let a small smile across her face. Ah, young love, she thought, pulling back the curtian to reveal: a sound asleep Naruto, a bright red Sakura and Sasuke looking impassive as ever. "Sorry to interrupt, but I need to borrow Naruto. He has a mission."
She woke Naruto and withinn five minutes they were gone.

"Sasuke, shouldn't you be getting put in a regular room now?" Sakura asked him.

"You're in it," he said grinning at her. "Shizune figured you could recover in here. Naruto was tired, so I let him use my bed."

Sakura looked at him and got up, "So, I'm still your doctor, right?"

"I suppose so, nobody said any different," he said watching her read his chart.

"That was close, I can get in trouble for messing around with you," she paused at his confused look, "because I'm your doctor."

"Tsunande knows what my intentions are, it's part of my deal. I have to re-establish myself in the village. Be a stable member of the community and such," he walked over to where she was, "I'm glad you don't have heels on today, it makes you taller than me." He leaned in and kissed her again, this time wrapping his arms around her and flicking his tongue in her mouth. He let his chakra snake over her body, listening to her small gasps. He nuzzled her neck, inhaling her cherry-almond scent.

She bumped into the wall, leaning her head back as he kissed the hollow of her throat. Her breath hitched as he nipped at her collarbone. He slid a hand up the front of her scrub top, running his hand over her lace covered breast. He kissed her again, nipping at her bottom lip. He slid his hand down her stomach letting it come to rest on her hip. He kissed along her jawline, nipping at her earlobe, "Sakura-chan, what are you doing to me?" he asked, his breath hot against her ear.

"Sasuke-kun," she sighed, "we gotta stop before it goes too far."

"I know, Sakura-chan," he kissed her and then wispered in her ear, "Don't call Naruto 'Sasuke' anymore, he couldn't possibly compare to me. You'll see."

"He told you?" she asked stunned.

"He told me everything including that he loves you," Sasuke smiled at her mischievously. "I told him that was fine, but once I'm out, you're mine."

Her mouth hung open, for once in her life she didn't know what to say.

He caught her mouth in another kiss, "No more Kakashi either."
