Chapter 20-Trapped
"It was just momentarily," I thought, "It isn't happening now."
I had left Kohona earlier that morning for two reasons. One because my fifth sense coming alive at that kiss really startled me and for a fact that Orochimaru sent another message to me. He reminded me that the chip was still under my skin and that he still had a choice of if and when he wanted to kill me. Remembering what had happened with the shocking band I decided to leave Kohona before something else happened. Besides I have a new mission now, Orochimaru informed me that someone named Hiashi Hyuga was in Suna for some reason.
Mission: Intercept the Hyuga on his journey to return to Kohona, kill him and transfer the kekki genkai to myself to bring to Orochimaru.
My memory then flashed back to Neji Hyuga, one of Lee's teammates. I guessed Neji and Hiashi were related but there wasn't much I could do. If I didn't do the mission there's no telling what that chip in my leg will force me to do next. Orochimaru was even sending someone to watch, a simple spectator.
I ran my hands over the bark of a tree and feeling nothing as I originally had; I set out and headed for Suna. I made it there in no time but slept outside the village not wanting to be reminded of hotels for my own emotional and mental well being.
Of course when it was morning my thoughts from the earlier night dissolved as I sped towards Kohona. I had never finished my original mission so Orochimaru sent someone else to do it. As soon as I quickly passed the guards I heard pounding in the distance. As I got closer I could tell it was coming from Kaminari's and Lee's apartment. Whoever Orochimaru had sent they apparently had followed my thoughts. I had just turned the corner to their apartment when Kaminari came flying out the door. I guess someone had thrown her out and now she was mad.
"Kaminari-chan," I said running towards her.
"Kagami-chan," she jumped onto her feet with an angry expression, "Where have you been?"
"There's no time, where's Lee-kun?"
"I don't know," she looked sadly at the ground, "Everyone's said he left yesterday to find you and I couldn't get to him in time to stop him."
Just then a Suna ninja stepped out of the apartment.
