Chapter 7: A C-ranked Mission! A Fight? Oh no…

 

"Sasuke here at point B."

"Sakura here at point C."

"Naruto here at point A."

"You're late, Dobe"

"Well if..."

"Quiet down, you'll scare off the target," Kakashi's voice crackled through their headset, "Do any of you see the target?"

"About 15 meters," Sasuke's voices rang through the headsets.

"Good, move in," Kakashi ordered.

The three of them took off.

"I got it! I got-AHHHHHH!!!!" Naruto suddenly yelled.

"Is it the target?" Kakashi asked through Sasuke's headset.

"Yup, it has the ribbon on it's left ear," Sasuke responded as he observed the captured target.

"Good, mission 'Find Missing Tohra' is complete," Kakashi announced.

"I HATE CAAAATS!!!" Naruto yelled into the headphones, blasting everyone's ears. Everyone watched as Naruto got scratched repeatedly by the furious Tohra.

"Alright, let's go back."

As the group walked into the room where the Hokage would assign their next mission, a large woman came running up to them, they felt the cat shudder.

"My precious Tohra! I was so worried about you!" the woman exclaimed loudly, snatching the cat.

The group looked at the large lady squeezing the poor animal.

"Poor cat, no wonder she ran away, I would have too" Everyone thought at the same time.

"I see you've completed your mission," the Hokage said as the group stood in front of the desk he sat at.

"Yeah but I don't see why we had to go get that cat..." Naruto mumbled

The Hokage simply smiled. "Well, we have many more missions. You can baby-sit, grocery shop-"

"Don't you have anything besides gay missions!?" Naruto yelled.

"What!?" Iruka yelled from beside the Hokage.

"The missions our group is assigned are boring and easy!" Naruto yelled.

"You bakka! Everyone starts out with easy D-ranked missions! You're only genin!" Iruka yelled back.

The Hokage sighed. "Iruka said it perfectly. All genin's start out with the easy D-ranked missions. As you rank up to a chunin you get to work on C and possibly B-ranked missions, they are harder. When you are a Jounin you work on A-ranked missions. We set them up like this on-"the Hokage cut himself off as he looked at the group.

"Well yesterday I had beef ramen, so today I was thinking I should have Miso ramen," Naruto said as the group listened to him.

"WOULD YOU LISTEN TO ME!!" the Hokage yelled.

"I am so sorry Hokage-sama," Kakashi quickly excused.

"Lectures, lectures, lectures! That's all I ever get from you old man! I'm not a little kid anymore! I don't play stupid pranks and I don't goof around! I'm a ninja now and I want a ninja mission!" Naruto yelled, stepping up so he was only feet away from where the Hokage sat

"YOU BAKKA! YOU-" Iruka was cut off by the Hokage.

"No no Iruka, Naruto's trying to show us he's grown up. Alright, you win. I guess I can give you a C-ranked mission."

Everyone on team seven looked at the Hokage in shock, even Kakashi.

"You will be escorting someone to the land of waves," The Hokage continued.

"Who who!?" Naruto asked in excitement. "A lord?! Or, or is it a princess!?"

"Bring him in," the Hokage announced.

They all turned to the door behind them. A man that looked in his 50s walked into the room. His face was slightly pink and he swayed as he took a giant swing from his bottle of alcohol.

Everyone Anime fell

"These brats are bringing me home? They don't even look like ninjas!" the man said, pink tinting his face.

"What are they gonna do? Play with me? My name is Tazuna and I need to be protected as I build the bridge. They look like weaklings, especially the short one with the stupid look on his face."

"Who's the stupid one?" Naruto asked with a grin, chuckling.

Naruto looked as Sakura and Sasuke stood behind him. Sakura was a little taller than Naruto and Sasuke was the tallest. "Ray-nee-chan's taller than me too..." Naruto mumbled to himself. When Naruto realized he had been insulted, an angry looked crossed his face.

"SAY WHAT!!! I'LL KILL YOU!"
Naruto lunged at Tazuna.

Kakashi grabbed Naruto by the back of his collar, "You're suppose to PROTECT the man, NOT kill him!" Everyone sweatdropped as Tazuna took a big swing from his bottle. Naruto crossed his arms and went back to the Hokage.

"Hey old man, is Ray-nee-chan better yet?" He asked. This clicked everyone else's minds.

"Where is Rayne-chan anyway?" Sakura asked. Kakashi put his book down to listen while Sasuke seems like he doesn't care but is listening to every word said. Naruto laughed nervously at the group.

"Come to think of it, why are you bandaged up, Naruto?" Kakashi asked in his teasing voice. "You two didn't DO anything yesterday and had to get medical attention did you?"
Naruto's face became outrage.

"NO!! NOTHING LIKE THAT!" The Hokage sigh and took out a pass.

"Here Naruto, they're in room 313." He said giving Naruto the pass. Naruto grinned and nodded. He then rushed out of the room with his team in tow.

When they reached the hospital Naruto showed the nurses the pass then continued up the stairs to room 313. When he was going to open the door, he stopped hearing voices from inside. The rest of team 7 also stopped, listening.

"Man... you sneak out of the hospital, go train, come back injured with S-rank ninjas trailing you? Wow, what'd you do to them?" They heard a female voice known as Rayne ask.

"Nothing! They just came out and killed those other ninjas that were going to attack me." A very young male voice answered.

"That's Mitsu-kun." Naruto told the team.

"Alright, well if you keep on doing that then you'll never leave the hospital."

"Hey!" The team listened more but not hearing anything, they opened the door and went inside.

"Hi Ray-nee-chan!" Naruto shouted, pouncing on the poor girl.

"NARUTO!" Mitsu shouted. "GET OFF MY NEE-CHAN!"

"WELL SHE'S MY NEE-CHAN TOO!" Naruto yelled back, still having Rayne in a death hug.

"Naru-kun..." Rayne tried.

"WELL SHE'S STILL HURT!"

"SHE'LL BE BETTER NOW!

"Mitsu-kun..."

"LET GO OF HER NOW!"

"WHY SHOULD I?!"

"Would both of you just... SHUT THE HELL UP?!" Surprisingly, Sasuke shouted at the two. There was silence as everyone looked at Sasuke

“Naruto.” Rayne's voice pierced though the awkward silence. Naruto and the team looked at Rayne. She had a face of annoyance.

“Let me go.”

“Oh, opps…” Naruto let Rayne go and team 7 finally got a good look at the damage Rayne had receive. She was wearing a black collar vest like jacket which was zipped up only in the middle to show her stomach and her neck. Along with that is a black tank top that ends above her belly button along with a black skirt with shorts under and black boots up to her knees. Her hair was combed down so it doesn't stick out in random directions. “I don't know how they got my hair to stay down like this…” Was her first thought when she saw it. She also had her ninja gear on. Her bare left shoulder was bandage, along with her stomach because of bruises.

“What?” she asked

“Why are you here? It doesn't seems like you're hurt that much.” Sasuke asked bluntly.

“Overuse of chakra.”

“You were training and overused your chakra? Ha, you're weak.” Sasuke said smugly with his I'm-much-better-than-you smirk. Rayne glared at Sasuke.

“No, I was fighting a ninja, cockatoo. I also activated a Kekkei Genkai that I didn't know I had. That takes a lot out of you but of course, you wouldn't know now would you?” Rayne spat back, making Sasuke glare.

“Hey! Don't say that about Sasuke!” Sakura yelled standing next to Sasuke.

“Back off, Sakura.” Rayne said though her teeth.

“No! I won't let you talk back to Sasuke-kun like that!” Sakura shouted standing in front of him. Rayne glared.

“Why does he get special treatment? Why do almost all girls treat him as a king? He's nothing more than an idiotic emo kid who has good looks with a bad attitude.” By now Rayne has her hands on her hips while Sakura has her hands on her kunai pouch.

“What about you?! You act all tough and cool too! You also have a bad attitude!” Sakura countered. Mitsu jumped next to Rayne.

“Don't you act like you're all better than Ray-nee-chan!” He shouted.

“I admit, I do have a bad attitude but at least I have a conscious!” Rayne shouted back. “At least I try to change from my past to make a better future for me. Unlike someone I know,” Rayne looked at Sasuke who was glaring at her with hatred. “Who only knows how to hate, which only makes him weak!”

This made Sasuke snap, he jumped at Rayne and tried to punch her. She blocked and kicked him in the stomach. Sasuke growled and threw shurikens at her, where she deflected by using a kunai. Sasuke ran at her and tripped her then punched her on the stomach and elbow her on the back, making her cough out saliva. Rayne growled, put both hands on the floor and did an handstand, kicking Sasuke in the head in the process. Both of them slid backward toward the opposite end of the room.

“Kakashi-sensei! Do something!” Sakura cried/scream. Naruto and Mitsu were watching intently. Kakashi put down his book to also watch.

“Let them fight for a while.” Was his reply, which did not help Sakura one bit.

“I hope they stop soon…” She said to herself. Inner Sakua: “Cha! Sasuke's going to win!”

Sasuke and Rayne continued on their taijutsu fighting, hurting eachother more and more, until someone opened the door.

“Woah!” the person shouted, stepping back to dodge a kick. The person was… team 10! They walked towards Kakashi and team seven while trying not to get hit in the process.

“What's going on here, Kakashi?” Asuma asked, taking out his cigarette.

“Oh nothing, just a little fighting.” Kakashi answered.

“Just a LITTLE fighting?!” Ino and Sakura asked at the same time.

“What happened?” Shikamaru asked with a sigh.

“Well, Sasuke-teme said that Ray-nee-chan was weak, then Sakura-chan said not to talk back to Sasuke-teme and she got made saying why does he get treated like a king. But why does he get treated like a king? He's nothing special. And then Ray-nee-chan said that he was weak and he punched her and now they're fighting.” Naruto explained, adding his own thought.

“And Kakashi-sensei won't stop them…” Sakura added. Suddenly, they heard a crash and when they looked, the two where fighting outside. Sakura, Mitsu, Naruto and the students of team 10 went to see what was happening. Apparently, the two were in the training grounds. The two teams, with their sensei went to the training grounds.

“This is good training, Kakashi.” Asuma said to him. Kakashi nodded.

“Yes, it is. And they're only using Taijutsu so that's go-” Kakashi was interrupted when they heard,

“Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu!” The two teams and Mitsu heard. Their eyes widen as they whipped their head to see Sasuke about to shoot fire out of his mouth.

“Suiton: TeppÅdama!” Rayne also shouted. In a matter of moments, the two were shooting out water or fire ball from their mouths, meeting in the middle deflecting one another's attacks.

“Kakashi-sensei! Please, this has gone too far!” Sakura cried. Kakashi hesitated, then nodded. He and Asuma grabbed one of the two kids who was about to hit the other again.

“Let me go! Let me go teach that no good stupid girl a lesson!” Sasuke shouted angrily from Kakaashi's hold, trying to get out. “Nobody calls me weak! Nobody!”

“Nobody calls me weak either Uchiha!” Rayne shouted from Asuma's grasp, also struggling to get out. “Let me go! I need to teach that cockatoo over pride Uchiha a lesson of reality!”

“No.” Both sensei answered. Both struggled but soon stopped, once both sensei's hold became tighter.

“Can we let you two go without both of you fighting again?” Asuma asked. The two genins hesitated, but then nodded. Once they were let go off they glared at each other and started walking back toward the group. Once they reached there, the two teams split to greet each of them differently.

“Are you okay Ray-nee-chan?” Mitsu asked innocently, seeing the cuts and bruises she have. Rayne gave him a small smile and nod. Mitsu looked at Sasuke so see he also have as many cuts and bruises. Naruto ran up to her and stopped himself from pouncing on her again.

“That was so cool Ray-nee-chan!” Naruto said excitedly, gaining attention from everyone. “I mean, you were fighting that ninja yesterday, got hurt and fought Sasuke-teme like you were all healed! And you're not even heal yet!” This made Sasuke scowl at him.

“Although I hate to admit it, he's right.” Sasuke thought looking at Rayne and Naruto. “She was already hurt and still fought me like she wasn't hurt at all… all while still manage to hurt me. I need to train more.”

Rayne looked at Naruto with a blank face and then turned to Mitsu.

“Are you alright?”

“What are you talking about? I'm not the one who fought someone.” Mitsu huffed back, arms crossed.

“Hey, he attacked first.” Rayne argued. “He also called me weak first, can't let him get away with that.”

“You are such a troublesome girl.” Shikamaru said lazily walking up to her. He then smirk. “But you sure put up a good fight.”

“Yeah, you did.” Choji said eating more of his chips.

Meanwhile… Sasuke was being annoyed by his two fangirls… Sakura and Ino.

“Oh Sasuke-kun, are you hurt?” Sakura asked in her `sweet' voice.

“What are you talking about? Of Course he's hurt forehead!” Ino shouted then turned to Sasuke. “I can bandage you up Sasuke! Come one! Let's go!” Ino then was hit by Sakura.

“Sasuke's MINE Ino-pig!” She shouted.

“No he's NOT Forehead!” Ino replied.

“Oh boy…” Kakashi said. “Sometimes, they're not worth the trouble.” Asuma agreed.

“Sasuke-kun?” Sasuke heard, not from Ino or Sakura. When he looked he was surprised to see Mitsu, but covered it up.

“What?” He asked looking away.

“Here.” Sasuke looked back to see Mitsu giving him bandages and also looking away. “You hurt Nee-san, and Naruto didn't want me to give this to you but Nee-san said for me too.” Sasuke looked up at Rayne to see her bandaging herself then looked back down at the boy.

“I don't need her pity.” He replied coldly. Mitsu glared.

“I'm giving this to you from my own choice. I could've ignore Nee-san's order but I came because I want to. Unless you want to go to the hospital and explain what happen to you, I think you should take it.” Sasuke looked at the boy, then slowly took the bandages and sat down on the stump, bandaging himself. Once Rayne and Sasuke were done bandaging themselves, everyone went home. Team seven had to get ready for their C-rank mission the next day.

In the woods on the other side of the clearing, two characters were hiding.

“She's getting stronger…” One of them said observing Sasuke and Rayne's fight.

“Yes, she's a good shinobi…” The other replied.
