Chapter 6: A Day of Surprises

Later that same day... At about... 1:45 p.m.

"Why am I come again?" Rayne ask, walking with her arms behind her head. "Wait... Naruto usually walks like this. Geez.. I'm getting attached to this boy way to fast."

"Because Ray-nee-chan! Iruka-sensei asked me to help him with his class and I made asked you to come with me!" Naruto explained happily jumping around in front of Rayne.

"Why doesn't he use his never ending energy for training?" Rayne mumbled to herself but instead said, "Right, so how old are these kids?"

"Uh... 7? 8? One of them..."

"Seven or eight year old kids... this is going to be troublesome." Rayne said with a sigh and looked up at the sky.

"Ray-nee-chan, you and Shikamaru know eachother?"

"We sit next to eachother, it's kinda hard NOT to know eachother. He also got me in the habit of looking at the cloud and stars on the roof..."

"That explains her lazy laid back personality." A voice said from behind both of them. They turned just to see... Sasuke with his oh-so-great smirk of his.

"Sasuke-theme" (Does Naru call him that?) Naruto said sourly.

"At least I don't act all serious with a stick up their ass." Rayne replied hotly.

"Hn. I see someone acting like that now." Sasuke replied and walked in between them.

"Someone's cranky." Rayne said teasing Sasuke more.

"Hn." She heard as a reply. She sigh bringing her hands down and putting them in her pockets.

"Didn't I tell you before that you need to expand your vocabulary, cockatoo boy? Saying 'hn' is not really a word." Rayne said walking behind him with Naruto following wondering what is going on between them.

"Didn't I tell you before that I Don't Care?" Sasuke replied.

"I donno, did you?"

"You're annoying."

"Glad to be of service, Cockatoo head."

"Shut up, you stupid girl!"

"Why don't you, idiotic crossdressing bitch?!" By this time they reached the academy, the kids from the classroom looking outside with interest and Rayne and Sasuke having an intense glaring contest.

"Alright, alright... what's the problem here?" Iruka asked stepping between them.

"The problem's this stupid girl here who won't leave me alone!" Sasuke replied.

"No, the problem is this cockatoo no vocabulary boy!" Rayne also replied. Iruka sigh while Naruto asked, 'innocently',

"Which classroom am I going to teach?" Iruka suddenly had a lightbulb and grin evilly. This made Rayne and Sasuke stop for a moment, wondering what Iruka had in mind in his...weird head.

"Why don't you two help Naruto teach the kids?" Iruka stated happily. Before the two genins can protest,

"Alright, it's settled then! Naruto, Sasuke and Rayne would help teach the class." Iruka said.

"WHAT?!" All three genins shouted.

"I only want Ray-nee-chan to help! Not Sasuke-theme!" Naruto whined.

"I don't want to be here! I could be training somewhere!" Rayne protested.

"I have to get home to train!" Sasuke shouted.

"No need." Iruka said waving his hands. "You'll have plenty of time to train. Besides, you're training while you're teaching the kids." The three had no choice but to agree.

"This is going to be hell..." Rayne muttered to herself.

"(I) Agreed." Sasuke and Naruto said at the same time then glared at eachother.

"Sasuke is good at nothing besides glaring while Naru-kun is good at making trouble..." Rayne murmur to herself with Iruka hearing and chuckling. "Where's the class?" Rayne asked.

"In here, follow me." The three all followed Iruka to the classroom "I have to leave to a meeting so that's where you tree come in..." He explained to the three who all just nodded. Entering the classroom, they see... nothing but chaos. Chairs are all over the place, students everywhere, especially around one corner... well, more like girls are-except two who are talking to themselves quietly.

"Fangirls.... at this age?" Rayne thought to herself bitterly. The boys are in their own groups talking about who knows what... maybe girls.

"Alright settle down everyone." Iruka said loudly, trying to get everyone to sit. Naruto looked around the classroom in awe, while Rayne and Sasuke try hard not to just leave.

"Hey! It's the boss!" A boy shouted. He had a very very long scarf with goggles over his black hair. He seems to be missing a tooth as he smiles and runs to Naruto.

"Konohamaru!" Naruto shouted "What are you doing here? Are we teaching your classroom?"

"No duh, why else would we be here..." Rayne said more to herself.

"Hn. Dobe." Sasuke said.

"Hiya boss! You're going to teach our class while Iruka-sensei's away?" Konohamaru said excitedly, then looked and saw the other two genins there and asked. "Who are they?"

"Oh!" Naruto exclaimed then ran to them. "This is Ray-nee-chan! and this is Sasuke-theme." Naruto said, saying Rayne's name with happy excitement but Sasuke with bitterness.

"...Is she your girlfriend?" Konohamaru asked.

"NO!!" The two shouted with Sasuke glaring at the boy, not noticed by anyone.

"Rayne-chan's my friend!" Naruto said blushing.

"We're not going out." Rayne said firmly. Konohamaru nodded and continued to talk to Naruto. Rayne and Sasuke looked at Iruka, noticing that he wasn't sussecful in getting everyone to calm down. Both have an anime vein and was read to leave.

"Oi, SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN EVERYONE" Rayne shouted loudly and angrily, catching the attention of everyone, but no one moving.

"We might as well go. They're not going to listen." Sasuke said starting to walk to the door with Rayne in tow.

"B-b-b-but Rayne-chan! Sasuke-theme! You two can't leave me here by myself!!" Naruto cried earning gasp from the classroom.

"The SASUKE Uchiha?!" Girls voices said above all the other noises, then a whole lot of squealing.

"The RAYNE Raito?!" Boys voices could be heard too, then a lot of whispers.

"Is seems as though both of you are very popular here." Iruka said to the two, blocking the door and making them stay.

"Yes... it seems so." The two both thought. While the whispers continued, everyone went to sit in their seat, revealing the boy that was hidden.

"Iruka-sensei, I refuse to teach a classroom that's not serious in ninja training and will NEVER be a ninja." Rayne said to Iruka before dodging a kunai aimed at her. She caught it with her right hand and threw it back. After a SWISH and THUND, the whispers stopped. In the back, the kunai was stuck on the wall after lightly cutting the cheek of the boy who threw it at her. Rayne smirked, along with Sasuke while Naruto was shocked along with the rest of the class.

"It seems like there are ninjas in this classroom." Sasuke said, speaking for both himself and Rayne.

"Maybe we'll stick around and train this class after all." Rayne said looking at the boy who's now glaring at her. She examined him, seeing he has very dark hair with highlights of green when the sun hits. His onyx eyes, also with a tint of green glared at her harshly. "Ha, so he's the Sasuke in this classroom"

"Takana, Mitsu. Not bad but you're a bit slow on the throwing time and reacting too." Rayne said looked at him. He showed a shocked face at her then glared again.

"How do you know my name?" He asked

"Himitsu." Rayne replied. Naruto's eyes opened and looked at Rayne remembering her words, "Mistu...he's my brother."

"Ray-nee-chan is..." Naruto trailed of seeing a glare from her.

"Alright!" Iruka said with a clap. "I'm off to the meeting now. They're learning on aiming when throwing a weapon, so just teach them that." Iruka said then left.

"Okay... so what do we do?" Naruto asked.

"We split them up into three groups, equal amount of kids for each of us then train them however we want to." Sasuke said with Rayne nodding and turning to the kids.

"Make a group of people who you hate. Even if that other person is a friend of another one that you hate, be in that group." Rayne commanded. The class then started to get in the groups... which proved harder than what the three genins though. Rayne sigh.

"This is getting us no where..." She said with the other two agreeing. "Alright, stop. Everyone. We'll just be picking out random people so if you don't like the people in your group, too bad." Rayne, Naruto and Sasuke then spread out, each holding a sheet showing where everyone sat.

"Takana, Mitsu, Hyuuga Hanabi, Ryuko Shiro..." (Pay attention to these three.) Rayne said picking out eight kids from the list. Sasuke and Naruto also picked their eight and the three went their separate ways.

Later, at around 3:30, Iruka came back in to find.... the class quietly taking a test. The three genins saw Iruka and happily announced,

"Class dismiss." The classroom left happily. Once they all left, Iruka asked how the afternoon was.

"Boring." Sasuke said bluntly.

"Hard." Naruto said whining.

"Easy." Rayne replied. Iruka had an anime sweatdrop and asked them one at a time what they did.

"Nothing much... stretching, show them how to throw, then they threw the whole class." Sasuke replied. Iruka nodded and asked Rayne next.

"Made them ran around the track with weights... horrible results, by the way. Then made them practice throwing the rest of class." Iruka then went to Naruto.

"Uh.. eh... made them practice throwing all class." He replied, earning a hit in the head by both Sasuke and Rayne.

"More like arguing with the kids...." Sasuke started.

"Then making us come over to deal with the problem..." Rayne finished. Iruka sigh and said that they can leave. He left with them outside.

"This was a waste of my day..." Sasuke said before leaving the other three people.

"I'm going home." Rayne stated then started walking away.

"Ray-nee-chan!" Naruto said running to catch up to her. "Can we go eat ramen later? PLEASE!!!" Naruto asked.

"Sure." Rayne answered, knowing she'll never hear the end of it if she says no. Naruto beamed and went back to talk to Iruka, then continued to walk with Rayne home.

At like... 7 at night...

"Oh? Why isn't it Rayne. What are you doing here?" The old man asked (I forgot his name.... can anyone can tell me what it is?)

"Naru-kun." Was her replied.

"Oh... on a date?" His daughter asked making Rayne glare at them.

"No. why does everyone think that?" Rayne replied. Before they can say anything, Naruto pops out of nowhere.

"Hi Ray-nee-chan!" Naruto shouted.

"Hi." Rayne replied. "I'd like Miso."

"I want the special!" Naruto said excitedly. When the girl was gone, Naruto asked Rayne.

"Was that Mitsu at school your brother?" Rayne nodded

"Yeah." She said quietly. "I hope that someday... I'll be able to protect him with him knowing... instead of watching and protecting from the shadows." She then grin at Naruto. "Just like how I'm able to protect you in the open." Naruto smiled, knowing that she'll be able to protect Mitsu soon. Their ramen came and they started eating, alone since no one else was there. It was raining hard so nobody wanted to get wet. It was quiet, until someone ran in to the old man and his daughter, oblivious to the two genin.

"You have to help me! My mom...mom was..." He then broke down crying. Rayne and Naruto looked to see who it was to see... Mitsu! Rayne stood up and went to him.

"What happened to your mom?" She asked demanded. He was crying in his arms and all Rayne could make out was,

"She...killed...dad...can't believe..." Rayne and Naruto looked at eachother, not really knowing what happened and nodded. Rayne grabbed Mitsu's hand and picked him up.

"Tell me where your mom is." Rayne asked.

"At home." Mitsu replied. Rayne sigh and dashed out of the place with Naruto following. It was raining hard, but Rayne could still see the road leading toward the house on the hill. She put Mitsu down and went inside. Naruto took the now not crying Mitsu's hand and pulled him inside.

"Mrs. Takana!" Rayne shouted when she entered the living room. Naruto went upstairs to see if anyone was around while Mitsu tried not to cry again. Suddenly, Rayne pushed Mitsu away, just to get hit on the arm by a kunai.

"Ack!" Rayne said in pain. She glared at the direction the kunai came and stood in front of Mitsu with the kunai. She heard laughing and made sure Mitsu was behind her.

"What are you laughing at?!" She shouted to the darkness.

"Why, I now have what I want..." The voice said. It sounds like a madman male voice. Naruto ran down the stair and turned to corner to see Mitsu looking around with a kunai from his pouch and Rayne with a kunai.

"The Kyuubi and the last two Kouseki survivors..." The voice continued. Rayne's eyes widen and jumped to grab Naruto, pulling him down and deflecting another kunai.

"Naru, help me protect Mitsu." Rayne whispered to him and he nodded. Rayne turned to the darkness.

"I don't know who you are, but you must be the one who killed Mrs. Takana!" She shouted. The voice chuckled.

"Correct." Rayne growled and blinked. When she opened her eyes again, she saw that she was seeing something different, she saw herself! Along with Naruto and Mitsu. All three of them were being tortured and were screaming. Rayne closed her eyes and chanted to herself, "It's not real, it's not real..." Rayne looked to the right to see both Naruto and Mitsu shaking, stiff scared. She then closed her eyes and wished that she can do something to help.

"Come on... there must be something I can do..." Rayne thought to herself. When she opened her eyes, they were different. They were red, instead. her left eye has one wheel while her right has two.

"What? The Sharingan?" The voice said surprised. Rayne stood up slowly, seeing through the genjutsu.

"I don't know what this 'Sharingan' thing is. I don't even know why you said that, but..." Rayne glared into the darkness. "I see through your deception!" She then started doing hand signs and when she ended she whispered,

"Double Falso surroundings..." She then dashed to grab Naruto and Mitsu and ran out before the person...or thing notice anything. When they were outside Rayne instructed to Naruto,

"Go get the Hokage!" She then ran back inside the house.

"Ray-Nee-Chan! Were are you going?!" Naruto shouted.

"What are you doing? Go get the Hokage!" Mitsu shouted at him. Naruto hesitated but then nodded and ran to the Hokage tower.

Inside, Rayne, whose eyes also returned to normal, went and picked up the lifeless body of Mrs. Takana and was about to run out but was stopped by fire being blown her way.

"Shit." Rayne said making hand signs, ending on Tori and said,

"Water element; Water barrier wall" She then blew water from her mouth to block the attack and continued running out. When she reached outside she almost knocked over Mitsu.

"What are you doing here?!" She said harshly. "You're suppose to go with Naruto!" Mitsu was about to reply but they heard a loud crash behind them.

"Sometimes, I wonder why I do this." Rayne mumbled to herself. "Kage Bushin no Jutsu," The clone Rayne grabbed Mitsu and they both ran down the steps to the bottom of the hill. At the bottom, they ran to the woods and both Rayne put Mrs. Takana and Mitsu down.

"Alright, you have to watch your mom, got that?" Rayne said to Mitsu. He nodded and she ran to the clearing.

"Come out, who ever you are!" Rayne shouted. She waited a few moments, not hearing anything but the dripping rain.

"Well well well... look how you've grown, Rayne." A voice said. Rayne turned to her right to see the person in her dreams. His pale skin stood out from his dark hair and yellow eyes. Rayne gasp but stand still. He walked closer to her, saying,

"Ah... I could finally finish what I started years ago..." He said reaching to touch her cheek. Rayne froze and the man chuckled.

"W-who... are you?" She asked fearfully.

"Someone..." he replied pulling his hand back. "That you'll be seeing more of." And with that, he left with the wind. Rayne stood there for a moment, before falling to her knees, breathing hard.

"Ray-nee-chan!" She heard in the distance. She stood up and went to Mitsu.

"Come on." She said, picking up his mom. "Let's go bury your mom..." Mitsu nodded lifelessly and followed, not knowing where she's going. Rayne took his mothers' body and buried it near the K.I.A. stone. Mitsu cried when she was done. By that time Naruto and the Hokage appeared.

"Ray-nee-chan..." Naruto said softly. She stood up, looked at Naruto and fell back down to her knees, crying. Eventhough It was raining, Naruto, himself was crying along with the two.

"Where... where can I go now?" Mitsu cried. "She was my only family left..." the Hokage put a hand to comfort the boy.

"You have someone left, Mitsu." This made him look up at the Hokage. "You still have a sister." The Hokage then looked at Rayne. Mitsu followed his gaze and whispered,

"Rayne...?" Hokage nodded and Mitsu looked at Rayne.

"Why? Why didn't you tell me?!" He shouted. "All this time... all this time I knew I was adopted, I knew there was something else that I didn't know. Why didn't anyone tell me and kept me in the dark?! Why didn'-"

"Because!" Rayne shouted, looking at him. "Because... If we did then you'll want to get to know me more. And if that happens then you'll want to know what happened! We-I don't want you to know what happened five years ago to our clan! I don't want you to know!" Rayne pushed away from Naruto and tried to stand up. "I know it's selfish but... I don't want you to be hurt by that madman too! So I tried to protect you without you knowing... I'm sorry Mitsu, I'm so sorry..." Mitsu clench his fist but then unclench them and hugged Rayne.

"Ray-onee-chan.." Mitsu cried and let go. Rayne gave him a small loving smile but then started to sway. Naruto caught her before she fell and felt her forehead.

"I think she fainted." Naruto said. "But she's burning too!"

"She might have a fever..." Hokage said, feeling Mitsu to find he also has one. "Naruto. Take Rayne and follow me." Naruto nodded and picked up Rayne, following the Hokage back to the tower. When they were gone from view, two presence appeared in the clearing.

"She has the Sharingan? I thought only the Uchiha clan was suppose to have it." One of them said.

"Apparently you don't know anything about her background." The other replied then looked back at the path that led to the Hokage tower. "She'll be a good ninja for us to have later..."

"So we keep um watching her, huh?"

"Yes, we do." They both left in a flash, leaving no trace of them ever showing their presence.
