Kaiesha walked home…slowly. She couldn't believe where her godmother was sending her, but then again she couldn't really argue against the hokage. Even though her mother was the daughter of the third Hoshikage, the only way she even knew of the village, was because of the stories her godmother and the third used to tell her. Apparently her father was sent on a mission there during the time when her grandfather was assassinated, he then fell in love with her mother, and in fear of her suffering the same fate, brought her to Konoha with him. Kaiesha sighed wishing she knew more about all of this. `However maybe I can use this mission to my advantage and find out more about my mother, and her kekei genkai'. Kaiesha checked her shuriken holster and made sure she had the right amount of ninja supplies, she made sure Shizune had Tonton's food since she would be looking after the pig while Kaiesha was gone. Kaiesha made one last check of her house before locking the door and heading to Konoha gates, where she was going to meet Sasuke and Naruto.

 

“Man where's Kaiesha,” said Naruto as he looked around the area. They had been waiting fifteen minutes and to be honest, Naruto was getting worried. He was about to grab Sasuke and order him to find Kaiesha when suddenly the beautiful Jounin popped up in front of them.

 

“Yo!” said Kaiesha as Sasuke smirked and Naruto jumped out of his skin. “Sorry Naruto, didn't mean to scare you. Well I suppose we should get this show on the road, the village hidden in the stars isn't really all that far from here, but the terrain to get there is supposed to be rough. Also, if we want to get there by sunset we need to keep a steady pace…I wouldn't want to linger around that forest once nighttime hits” Both Sasuke and Naruto nodded as the three set off. Sakura was watching from a distance and couldn't help but give a silent prayer to the gods to protect her teammates.

 

Kaiesha's information turned out to be quite true, the terrain of their travels was not a ninja friendly one, but they all were relieved to know that they were getting close to the village. Sasuke and Kaiesha hadn't talked much since they kissed, but Kaiesha knew that Sasuke had meant what he had done…or at least that's what she hoped. `I also wonder if Orochimaru is really after the sacred star of the village. Knowing that greedy bastard he probably is, but the real question is why wouldn't he surprise attack the village? He has the power, especially now that he's got a new body…unless, this was all just a set up to attack…'

 

“Kaiesha!” cried Naruto once again waving his hand in front of the kunoichi's eyes. “Yo earth to Kaiesha…” Kaiesha snapped out of her gaze to see that they were on the outskirts of the village. She also knew, that it would be impossible for them to enter, unless they were with an escort. The toxic gases that surrounded the village, almost like mote, were not very inviting.

 

“We're supposed to have an escort right?” asked Sasuke as Kaiesha looked towards the forest across the gasses and nodded her head. Then, as if on cue, an arrow was shot from the other side, missing Naruto by only a few centimeters, and soon a person, who was obviously from the village hidden in the stars was standing across from them. “Well it seems our escort is finally here”

“Hey man what the hell was that, you almost killed me,” cried Naruto waving his hands about like a wild man. “I should kill you!” But before Naruto could even react a strange chakra began to build around the ninja from the star. Kaiesha watched closely and noticed that the chakra ended up forming a protective layer around the shinobi and its appearance was like a bird, a peacock if she were to guess. Naruto was about to try and attack the ninja but however Kaiesha interrupted him…thank god.

 

“Sorry for my friends rudeness,” she said bowing a little as Naruto grumbled and Sasuke just kept his normal stature. “You must be the ninja who is to bring us into the village?” When the shinobi nodded Kaiesha sighed, she was starting to lose her patients. “May we know your name?” The guy removed his mask and Kaiesha, Sasuke and Naruto just stared. His forehead protector had a star symbol on it, and Kaiesha had to admit that he was quite handsome…not as handsome as Sasuke though…or maybe he was equal to Sasuke.

 

“My name is Sumaru and if you follow me, you may enter the village!” Kaiesha nodded and followed him staying back with Sasuke as Naruto ran ahead to talk with their escort. It turned out that Naruto was wondering if he could have awesome chakra powers like that, however Sumaru had said he had gained the ability to use chakra like that due to the star of the village. This was the part of the conversation in which Sasuke, and Kaiesha decided to listen very carefully, however there plans to eavesdrop were interrupted as they finally entered the actual village.

 

It was only about one sixth the size of Konoha, and Kaiesha wondered how anyone could live there? The land inside the village was barren and it looked like even a plant growing jutsu wouldn't work here. She saw many of the villagers look at her and just turned her gaze to the ground trying to ignore their whispers. “She looks so much like…” One would say and another would reply with, “Shhhh we're not supposed to speak of that” Sasuke noticed Kaiesha's uneasiness and just intertwined her fingers with his to let her know he was there for her.

 

“Ok, I'll go and get the leader of this village, you three wait here,” Sumaru said as Sasuke, Naruto and Kaiesha nodded. Naruto turned towards Kaiesha and decided she might know the question that was on his mind.

 

“Say Kaiesha, shouldn't we speak to the Hoshikage?” asked Naruto as Kaiesha looked up with a strange look on her face. `That's right, it's been 15 years since my grandfather was assassinated, wouldn't they have gotten a new Hoshikage by now? And why is speaking of my mother not supposed to be done? Something fishy is going on in this village…' Kaiesha was so wound up in her thoughts, she didn't notice Sumaru emerge from the hut.

 

“The leader is busy right now, he will speak to you later.” Sumaru's voice was cold and icy. Naruto was about to speak but Kaiesha stopped him. Naruto just looked at her and noticed her eyes were slightly glazed over meaning she was doing the one jutsu, any ninja should fear. The omoi-yomidashi jutsu, Kaiesha had just started it before a strange pain overcame her body. She fell to her knees gripping her heart and Sasuke ran to her side looking her in the eyes.

 

:----:Meanwhile, in the star training room:----:

 

“Someone trade off with Mizura-san,” cried Hokuto noticing her friends severe coughing. One of her fellow ninjas traded with the boy, and someone else traded with her as she went to aid him. “Mizura are you ok?” asked Hokuto as she noticed the beads of sweat on her friends' head. Just then a bright purple light spread through the room causing all of the ninjas eyes to widen, including Mizura's and Hokuto's.

 

“H-Hokuto-kun…” stuttered Mizura between coughs. “S-someone is…is d-doing… an illegal jutsu!” Hokuto nodded and just held her friend close, hoping they wouldn't receive punishment. But when she didn't feel any pain, she knew the person who went against the rule of the village was not in the same room as her. Hokuto noticed Mizura was trying to stand so she began to help him and was surprised at what he said next. “We must go find this person!” Hokuto nodded but still didn't know if it was the right thing to do.

 

“Kaiesha? Kaiesha!!” cried Sasuke as Kaiesha cried out in pain once more. Sasuke was about to hug her close when a strange man and two other ninja's that looked his age came out. Soon the crowd multiplied to be the whole village. “Kaiesha are you all right?” Kaiesha could only nod, but still remained on her knees,

 

“You!” cried the leader of the village. “Just who are you?” he asked raising an eyebrow, Kaiesha raised her head and smirked, `This village…there's definitely something they're not telling us, but for the mean time, I think it's time I asked about my mother' The villagers had all begun to converse about her, mostly saying cruel and nasty things, which was making both Sasuke and Naruto pissed off, but Naruto was the first to snap.

 

“God dam it, you people better shut your mouths,” cried the young shinobi. Sasuke couldn't help but smirk as the head of the village looked taken a back. Naruto continued to growl as the whispers ceased. “I should kill you all, but like my sensei said we were sent here to help you…”

 

“You were sent to help us?” asked the head of the village as Naruto and Sasuke gave him a look that said -are you an idiot- and pointed to their forehead protectors. “However I still have not received an answer to my question, now once again, what is your name young kunoichi?” Sasuke just helped Kaiesha stand and the young girl smirked, so much, it looked like she was Orochimaru.

 

“My name is really no concern to people like you,” said Kaiesha as she raised her hands. “However it wouldn't hurt to tell you, my real name is Kaiesha Kazama, however if I took my mother's name it would be Kaiesha Suko!” The minute she said that whispers instantly grew.

 

“I see, would you please join me then Kaiesha-chan?” asked the head of the village as she nodded and Sasuke and Naruto began to walk with her. “If it would be all right, I would like to speak with Kaiesha alone” Naruto and Sasuke just eyed the leader as Kaiesha gave them a look that said. -I'll be ok-. Both Sasuke and Naruto knew she could handle herself, but agreed with Kaiesha that something weird was going on in this village. Sasuke and Naruto were about to go and scope out the village, when a young women, no older than thirty showed up.

 

“Excuse me, you two are comrades to that girl am I right?” she asked as Sasuke and Naruto nodded. “Well if you don't mind, will you please come to my house for tea? There are a few things I would like to discuss with you” Curiosity got the better of the two and they agreed to go to the woman's house.

 

“So what is it you wanted to discuss with us?” asked Sasuke as he and Naruto sat down at the table in the house. They could see the woman was having difficulty with what she was trying to say, which aroused Sasuke's suspicion of the village even further.

 

“Is it true that that girl is really a Suko?” she asked as Sasuke and Naruto nodded slowly, they weren't perfectly sure, but as far as they knew Kaiesha's Mothers' last name was Suko. “That's what I was afraid of. You see me and that girl, Kaiesha I believe her name was, her mother was like a big sister to me, even though she was only a few months older. Katara and me did everything together, since her father being the Hoshikage didn't get very much time to spend with her. Katara and I also went through star training together…which is part of the reason Katara isn't here anymore”

 

“Miss. Lady, what is this star training if you don't mind me asking?” said Naruto as Sasuke looked at him confused at the amount of respect in the blonde haired ninjas voice. “I mean what does it do…”

 

“First of all excuse my rudeness, my name is Yukina,” the woman smiled warmly at the two. “But as for the star training, it is a ruthless training that was discovered by the first Hoshikage. By learning to control the stars chakra, you could multiply your own chakra by ten fold, however gaining this power also had its startling side effects. Learning to control the chakra causing great strains on the body, which in turn caused by best friend, Katara to get the greatest strain on her mentality. It ended causing her to have a split personality. Even with all the ninjas who undergo the training, few actually master it, in fact the only three people to master it were Katara, my husband, and I. I lost both my husband and Katara because of the star”

 

“So basically this star is causing ninja's to die, but that leader wont stop it?” asked Sasuke as Yukina nodded. “That's wrong, but where is the Hoshikage?”

 

“After Katara went to her father and begged him to stop the star training, the Hoshikage agreed. It was about this time, that young man from the village hidden in the leaves came here. The star training stopped and the death toll of the village decreased. However three weeks later, the Hoshikage was assassinated. Katara ended up escaping, but then Yuroto, the now `leader' of the village took over, and the star training began again. And now my son…”

 

“That's crazy,” cried Naruto standing up. “It's killing you villagers, doesn't that mean anything?” Yukina just shook her head as Naruto growled and Sasuke decided to change the subject for a moment.

 

“I have a question myself,” said Sasuke as Yukina looked at him. “Do you know of any special jutsu's the Suko clan had?”

 

“So you noticed did you?” asked Yukina. “The Suko clan was the most feared clan in all of ninja history. More powerful than even the Uchiha and Hyuuga clans. The Suko clan had the strangest jutsu's that were used in assassinations and protecting themselves. There was several kekei genkai in that clan, one of which was the mind reading jutsu. After the Hoshikage was assassinated, Katara cremated him instantly as to not let out any secrets of her bloodline. Well the `leader' found out about her trying to stop the star training, and banned any Suko jutsu's from being used, and the made the star attack the person's chakra.”

 

“So what your saying is that Suko blood was banned from the village of the stars?” asked Sasuke as Yukina nodded. “But something is strange, what person was in everyone of these stories?” Naruto and Sasuke both thought hard when suddenly they both shouted. “Yuroto!”

 

“Mother I'm home…” said Sumaru as he walked through the door just as Sasuke pushed him aside and dashed out the door. “Why are they here?” Naruto was about to run after Sasuke but stopped as he noticed Sumaru enter and call Yukina his mother. Sumaru just looked at his mother who shrugged. `Save us…Konoha ninja'

Kaiesha was walking with this so called leader when suddenly her curse mark began to throb. `What the hell is going on here?' she thought as she followed the man farther into the house. She entered a room and her eyes grew wide as her hypothesis came true… “It's been a while Kaiesha-kun…”

 

“Orochimaru you bastard,” cried Kaiesha as she went to punch him but Kabuto grabbed her hand. “Should've known your very own personal dog would be here with you. Well since you're here I might as well kill you all, Kokoro Assaiki jutsu!” Kaiesha's eyes widened as the same pain from before attacked her body dropping her to her knees.

 

“By the looks of things you're the one who's more like a dog,” said Kabuto kicking her in the ribs. Kaiesha flew back into the wall, giving off a sickening crack, Kabuto was about to continue but Orochimaru called him off.

 

“That will be quite enough Kabuto,” said Orochimaru as Kabuto backed away smirking the whole time. Kaiesha just glared at him which made Orochimaru smile. “So I bet your wondering what's going on here huh? Well first off all, I wouldn't do any of your Suko jutsu's, because if you do, the star will kill you. Second of all, we're merely here to discuss something with our spy…” Kaiesha was not in a good mood, She stood slowly, using the wall for support, all the while she was hoping her plan would work. She started to make her way towards Orochimaru, who was smiling at her, when she finally reached only inches away from him, she disappeared. “What the? Where did she go?”

 

“This is the same jutsu she used on me in the forest…it seems to use shadows in hiding her body and chakra. She's probably gone right now,” Said Kabuto as Orochimaru turned to Yuroto.

 

“Find her,” said Orochimaru as Yuroto nodded and soon went to go and gather the villagers…there was a renegade ninja from Konoha on the loose.

Sasuke couldn't find her chakra anywhere and he was getting angry. He used his sharingan to scope the village and soon found her in the outside forest by the edge of the cliff. He slowly walked towards her, noticing her injuries he growled…what the hell is going on here? Kaiesha was staring off into the sky as she began to sing a song from her past. She new the words to the song, before she could even know what words were. It was like the rhythm and words were etched into her heart, so she began to sing.

 

“Far off in the starry night, a dream of peace will soon take flight. So go my children to the star, where your dreams will take you far. Fly off into the stars, leave behind your bodies scars, fly towards the fire, known as the red star. I promise you that peace will come, before our sins will come undone. Follow your dreams, take them far. Go towards the sacred red star” Kaiesha finished and sighed. `What do I do? If I go back, I'm screwed, not to, mention even being in this area means I can't use any of my jutsu's. Plus Sasuke and Naruto are in danger, and I can't bring Sasuke into this…but if Orochimaru activates my curse seal then…'

 

“Kaiesha!” cried Sasuke running up to her. Kaiesha just looked at him and sighed. But what she didn't know was that she was being watched from afar by Orochimaru himself. `So the princess has control of Kay does she? Well let's see what happens at curse seal level two…'

Naruto stayed in the house looking between Sumaru and Yukina. “You're his mother?” he asked as Yukina nodded and began to clean dishes. “So Sumaru, you still got a stick shoved up your butt?” Sumaru just glared at Naruto as he ran up to his mother.

 

“Mother, why are they here, we don't need these ninjas, I can protect everyone with my star powers,” said Sumaru as Yukina ignored him and just began to hum.

 

“So you mean you've mastered the stars power?” asked Naruto. “Don't you know that it's like a slow suicide, my friend's mother…”

 

“You mean that kunoichi,” asked Sumaru as he glared. “She is the daughter to that lousy princess; she deserted the village, even after it was her job to take over it. Her father was one of the best Hoshikage, but once that ninja from your village showed up and kidnapped her she never returned.” Sumaru was seething with anger, but then again so was Naruto.

 

“First of all Kaiesha's mother would never desert the village, and second of all don't even think you know what that ninja did for my village,” growled Naruto as he began to listen to Yukina hum. “That song…I've heard Kaiesha hum it before…what is it exactly?” Yukina was surprised as she turned to talk with him.

 

“Me and Katara made that song during the star training when we were kids,” said Yukina as she began to sing.

“Mother?” asked Sumaru. “You mean you were friends with that stupid princess?” Naruto couldn't hold back any longer as he punched Sumaru across the face.

 

“You're a fool!” cried Naruto as yelling and screaming could be heard outside the door. They all ran towards it and could see the villagers running towards the star, especially the women and children who weren't ninja. “What's going on?”

 

“Princess Katara, she's back from the dead everybody run!” cried one villager as Naruto noticed Sasuke trying to fend off some strange looking girl.

 

“You both stay here,” said Naruto as Sumaru and Yukina looked at each other and took off after Naruto. “Sasuke?” cried Naruto noticing his friend who was pretty beat up, and then his attention turned towards the girl. She looked young and familiar and for some strange reason had a Konoha forehead protector. `Kaiesha?'

 

“Get away from here ghost,” said one of the ninja's as Kay smirked and punched him, with her godlike fast speed.

 

“Feh, you are all fools,” said Kay as she smiled. “And you know what I'm sick of everyone calling me Katara, like seriously it gets old, my name is Kay got it” Kay smirked as she attacked three more villagers. “Man and here I thought I would at least have a challenge!”

 

“Katara!” cried Yukina as Kay turned towards her. Yukina looked at the girl who was the image of her former friend. “Who are you, why are you doing this?” asked Yukina as Kay turned towards her.

 

“You…” said Kay as she dashed towards Yukina who wasn't ready, Sumaru dashed in front of his mother taking the attack full force.

 

“What an idiot,” said Kay as Naruto threw a kunai at her, but she caught it with her fingers. “You'll have to do better than that” Naruto was about to throw another but saw two figures he hadn't seen in a while.

 

“Orochimaru, Kabuto,” Naruto growled as Orochimaru smirked.

 

“Well Naruto-san it is a pleasure to see you again,” said Orochimaru as Kay walked towards him. “All right Kay here is your next assignment…kill Naruto then kill Sasuke!”
