Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ World Collision ❯ Sasori's replacement, Oh joy! ( Chapter 31 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Hey, guess what? In a month I'm going to go to an anime convention with my friend and some of her classmates! We're going to go as the Akatsuki in a cos-playing team! Guess who I'm going to be? I haven't been to an Anicon before, didn't expect I ever would, but there was no way I'd pass it up! It's going to be so much fun… I'll be able to go around, acting dumb with an excuse as well!

“I'm sorry Sempai, Tobi didn't mean it!” A voice said from above. Wincing her eyes harshly every few seconds as she slowly opened them, Jessica moaned loudly as she felt the back of her head. Within seconds, she felt a heavy pain rush to her head.
“Where am I?” She murmured as she tried sitting up. Yelping in pain, she released the support of her arm that then resulted in her falling back onto the dirt ground. Looking back and forth from each side as she tried getting use to the daylight, she saw a forest, along with the blue sky above her, filled with fluffy white clouds. As her blurry view cleared a bit more, she found that Deidara stood, towering above her, glairing at something across from him. Turning her head to the side, she find that Tobi was there, now wearing the Akatsuki cloak.
“Hey Jessica, you alright, mm,” the blond asked as he gazed down at her for a minute.
“My head kills; what on earth happened?” She moaned as she placed a hand over her forehead.
“See Sempai, Jessica-chan is fine! No harm done!” The orange masked man stated.
“Fine,” the blond yelled. “If it weren't for her thick skull, she could have died from being dropped from that distance! You idiot, can you do anything right without my help? And since when did I say you can call me Sempai?”
“Would someone please just tell me what's going on.” Jessica asked loudly before felling another sharp pain in her head. Now rubbing her head again, she sighed as their fighting ceased.
“Jessica-chan, you're alright aren't you? After Sempai got his arms put back on by Zetsu-san, you were so tired that you didn't wake up! Sempai said you went through a lot lately, so he didn't want to wake you up. So, Tobi carried you!” The girl then stared at him without a word, with a face that told him that she was still confused.
“Why are you wearing the Akatsuki cloak?” She asked dully as she looked up at the man who was now crouched low to the ground, though still above her. After cocking his head to the side for no apparent reason, he then chuckled a bit before pointing at himself.
“Tobi finally got to become an Akatsuki member! See, I have Sasori-san's ring now!” He stated as he showed the ring he kept on his left thumb. Blinking a few times as she looked at it, she then glanced up at her master.
“Deidara-sama, just how long was I out?” She asked as she furrowed her eyebrows together.
“About three days. You were pretty dramatized I guess… Yeah,” he replied as he placed his hands on his hips.
“Oh, both of your arms are back now! That's good; it was rather annoying to see you without them. Are there any markings that show they went missing at all?” The man then snickered a bit as he thought about it.
“You can see the stitch marks, but otherwise Zetsu-san did a pretty good job… He was even able to retrieve the arm I lost in the sand village.” He said as his mind trailed off in another place for a while as he stared off into the distance. After a moment, he looked back down at his slave. “Are you ready to go now?”
“Are you asking me whether or not I fell good enough to walk, or are you just saying that you want me to get up and follow you?” She mumbled with a small grin on her face as she sat up.
“You could say that,” he said with a wide smirk on his face.
“That didn't exactly answer my question though, Deidara-sama.” She said as she slowly stood to her feet. “I think I can walk, but I'm not totally sure how well because of this aching headache I've got now. Just how far did I drop, and how fast were you going? If you guys were just walking, I don't see why my head would hurt half as much as it does now; believe me, I've fallen from some high heights before in my days.”
“We were traveling up in the trees; it's a shinobi thing… You wouldn't really get it, yeah,” the blond replied as he turned to face ahead of them.
“Sempai, we don't know where the three-tails is, so… We should relax a bit! With Jessica's hurt head, we should stop in the next town to get something to eat, hnm? Tobi thinks that's a great idea!” The masked man said as he turned his face to look at his new partner. With only a low grunt for an answer, he stood up and walked over to him. “Well,” he said waving his hands in front of Deidara's face.
“Get out of my face you idiot! Akatsuki members are supposed to be calm, cool, and collected; not wild and childish!” He said with an annoyed look on his face.
“Right… Where are we going to go now?” Jessica said butting in to their dispute. “I think I'm fine now, though I can't say that I will be able to go at a fast pace and keep up with you guys like the way I did when Sasori-san was around.”
“Well Sempai, where are we going? You're the leader,” the other said folding his arms against his chest.
“I'm guessing it's probably somewhere around the mist village now, and that's not close to the Wind country. Though we're close to the borderlines that go into other villages, there are three other nations, along with the Fire nation Kohona, which we will have to get threw to get there. This won't be a quick journey, that's for sure.” Hearing this Jessica moaned at the thought of so much traveling. Hadn't they traveled enough as it was? Couldn't they take a break? Why were they already going after another one of these people? Going threw three different nations that may be hostile towards her company didn't sound close to music in her ears. Instead, it was more like the sound of someone scrapping their nails along a chalkboard.
“Is this that important?” She mumbled as she walked up beside her master.
“Yes it is,” he responded as he glanced down at her.
“I was afraid you'd say that…” She said as her body slumped low.
“Oh, don't worry Jessica-chan! It will be fun; you, me, and Sempai all together! Besides, we're going to stop for some tasty food today!”
“When did I agree to that?” Deidara snapped as he quickly turned his face to look at his new underling. Sighing, Jessica slowly shook her head as Tobi continued to taunt and Deidara continued to yell. She could tell that this was going to be more than a tiring long journey… In fact, it may turn out to be even worse than that!
