Uh, Hi people! Sorry I haven't updated in a while and I know that last chapter sucked. Anyway, I thank the people who gave me reviews and encourage you to give me more!!! On with the story and please R&R!!!

 

Chapter 6: Unseen Danger

 

The Sandaime sighed as he did the one thing that he hated above all, Paperwork!!! His mind drifted as he scribbled on some paper, not really caring what he was writing. He remembered that today was a sad day for many people.

 

Hiashi had lost his wife, Hinata and Hanabi had lost a sister, Sasuke and Neji had lost dear friends and Kakashi had lost his two precious daughters. Today was the day that Hikaru Hatake Uchiha and Kaoru Hyuga Hatake had disappeared.

 

The Hokage remembered that on the days he had none of the dreaded paperwork, the twins would visit and make him laugh. Heck, they could make anybody smile, what with Hikaru's cocky attitude and Kaoru's mischievousness.

 

If only Fugoku could have seen that. His thoughts were then interrupted when his secretary knocked on the door and came in. “Hokage-sama, there are three travelers here requesting to see you,” he said. “Send them in please,” replied the Sandaime, relived to be distracted from the paperwork on his desk.

 

The secretary saluted and ran off. After a few seconds, three people entered the room. They all wore heavy trench coats and wide brim hats (Like the one Itachi wears in the anime when he goes to Konoha). “Hello, would you mind telling me who you are?” asked the Sandaime raising his eyebrows.

 

“It's been a while, hasn't it Sarotobi oji-san?” remarked a familiar voice which was kind and gentle, but held a small tone of mischiviouness in it. “You haven't changed a bit oji-chan,” replied another voice that was filled with cockiness and arrogance. Both voices seemed oddly familiar.

 

The first figure removed his hat to reveal a familiar silver haired girl who now had iridescent black streaks with golden eyes. The other figure was a blue-black haired girl, now with white streaks, with dark eyes. The third man was none other than the S-classed missing nin, Uchiha Itachi.

 

The Sandaime immediately stood up and took a defensive stance when the silver haired girl said, “Oji-san, come on, you remember us don't you?”

 

The Sandaime glanced and her and realized in a flash that standing before him was none other than the very Kaoru he had been thinking of. She wore a white sleeveless shirt that had the kanji for light on the back in black with a fishnet shirt underneath and brown pants. Her hair was thigh length and was in a simple braid. She also had bandages surrounding her left eye.

 

“Awww, Oji-san can't remember me?” asked a voice in a fake whimpering voice. Saratobi didn't even have to turn around to know that it was Hikaru. Hikaru now wore a dark blue kimono that reached her mid thigh and was slit with black pants underneath. On the back was a kanji for dark in blood red.

 

“How are you two alive? Why are you in Konoha? Why are you with Itachi?” asked Sarotobi as multiple questions rush out of his mouth. “Whoa, slow down Oji-san,” replied Hikaru as Kaoru giggled. Itachi smirked.

 

After the telling of the entire story (I'm really lazy)

 

“So wait, you've been inside a shadow for seven years in a mountain and you were found by Itachi.” summarized Saratobi, “And Itachi killed the Uchiha clan because they assaulted you.” “Yup,” replied Hikaru while cocking her head to one side, “We've also got to join the Chunnin exams on the orders of the Leader of the Akatsuki.”

 

“WHAT????? YOUR WORKING FOR THE AKATSUKI?????” yelled Saratobi as he jumped up in shock. “No, no, not that, we just asked the Leader what we could do since he, you know let us stay for a while, he said he found strange activity from Suna and Oto so he told us to investigate.” answered Kaoru in a calming voice.

 

“The Akatsuki has many goals and one of the top ones are to destroy Orochimaru, who betrayed the Akatsuki,” added Itachi as he glanced at Saratobi with dark black eyes. As Saratobi soaked in this information, Kaoru shyly asked, “Um, How are Dad and everyone else?” “Saratobi gave them a warm look and replied, “They have been missing you and are wishing to see you again.” “Really?” asked Hikaru in disbelief, she thought that everyone hated them now.

 

“Which reminds me Itachi, I will allow you to pose as Hikaru and Kaoru's sensei, but you must swear not to touch and or harm Naruto,” retorted Saratobi sternly to Itachi who merely nodded his consent. “Um, who's this Naruto?” asked Hikaru in a curious tone. “He is the vessel for Kyuubi, the nine tailed fox,” answered Saratobi, watching closely at their reactions at the news.

 

Hikaru had on her cocky grin and Kaoru's golden, pupiless, eyes lit up in happiness. “Yay, he's like us nee-chan. Maybe he'll be our friend,” exclaimed Kaoru excitedly. Hikaru didn't answer, but grinned even more.

 

Saratobi shook his head while Itachi sighed and muttered, “They're still idiots.” Both girls glared at him and smacked him on the head. Itachi glared at them, but feared their wrath and didn't do anything.

 

Saratobi sweatdropped and then said, “I think it would be best to use fake names and high class genjutsus. No need to alert Orochimaru or anybody else that Uchiha Itachi or the twin Shinigami vessels are here in Konoha.”

 

The other three nodded and Kaoru and Hikaru though of names they could use while Itachi sighed again.

 

Saratobi smiled, Life was going to be more interesting with the twins around again!

 

Sasuke Uchiha, Uzumaki Naruto, and Haruno Sakura were currently in a tense conversation with the sand ninja from Suna when a voice behind the said, “Um, excuse me…”

 

Everyone turned to see a girl with silvery white hair in a braid and golden brown eyes behind them. She wore a white knee length kimono that had slits on each side with grey shorts underneath. On the back, there was a yin sign. She also had her Konoha headband over her left eye, like Kakashi.

 

“What do you want?” screeched Sakura, annoyed at the girl. She was probably here to steal Sasuke! “Um, I was wondering if you knew where I was to sign up for the Chunnin exams?” asked the girl in a slightly shy voice.

 

“Kari! There you are!” yelled another voice as a girl about the same age as the first approached them. She had black hair that had white tips and was in a ponytail and deep blue eyes. She wore a blue-black version of the first, had the yang sign on her back, and had a katana strapped to her waist.

 

“Come on, Chitai-sensei is getting impatient,” retorted the girl as she grabbed the first girls hand. As the two turned to go, Sakabu no Gaara, one of the sand ninja, remarked in his emotionless voice, “You two, what are your names?” Gaara felt uneasy with the girls, they both had a slivery aura, but it was laced with black negative chakra.

 

The second girl turned and replied coldly, “I'm Haru Minomori and this is my twin sister, Kari Minomori.” With that said, the two girls disappeared in a whirlwind of chakra, but not before the second girl, Haru, glared at Gaara one more time.

 

Gaara smirked mentally and disappeared in a whirlwind of san, leaving behind three confused Konoha genin and two puzzled Suna genin.

 

Well? Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I really hate school. Anyway, I really happy with all my reviews and I asking for more because I really enjoy reading what people think of my story. Oh and to zigyy553's review, sorry for the mistakes and Naruto will have a bigger part later, promise. Ja ne!
