Chapter 3 - are you looking for power?

You walked quietly to your seat and greeted your seatmates.

"Ohayo sasuke!" you greeted

He smirked. You pouted and looked at your other seatmate

"Ohayo! I don't think I know your name"

"I'm neji. So you said that if we have questions about your father we can ask you anytime right?" Neji said

"Yah sure. Ask me"

"Did he really transfer his powers to you? I mean he was one of the great ninjas in the world"

"Uh… I really don't know if he Did transfer them to me."

"oh… but if he did… can you fight with me?" Neji said with a slight blush on his face, which you noticed but ignored.

"Yah sure! As soon as I complete my training with kakashi." You answered him

"Ok class that's all for today and don't forget about our test next week ok?" iruka said and dismissed the class and immediately left the room

You went to Naruto <since he's the only close friend you have at the moment> "Naruto you want to stop over and buy ramen? My treat!" You told Naruto

"Ramen? You do that for me?" Naruto asked with starry eyes

"of course! C'mon" you said while pulling Naruto's arm. Somehow Ino got irritated at you and purposely tripped you. You fell on the floor on your backside. You stood up and rubbed the aching part <uh- that's your butt okay?^-^> "Itai" you said

"Hey ino! That's not nice" Naruto said while pointing an accusing finger on ino

"huh? That wasn't me" ino said while biting her pencil

"we all know that was you ino!" naruto said getting ready to punch her. You stood beside naruto and grabbed his arm. "it's ok Naruto no harm done right?" you said while smiling at him. He calmed down and smiled back at you. You looked at ino and leaned at her desk. "Ino you know, it's better when you tell the person that you don't like her instead of hurting them" you said still smiling and pulled naruto to that door

Ino somehow got pissed-off "you think you're all that! You're just a daughter of a traitor of this village!"

"ino you must stop it or I may loose my patience on you."

"so?"

"Stop it ino please" You told her

"you're dad is nothing but trash"

"stop it" you demanded

Then you soon lost you patience.

<this way is easier>

You: dropped a smoke bomb on the floor.

Ino: kept an eye at you. Looked at the place where you were standing. But you were gone. 'damn it! I lost her'

The smoke cleared

You: were holding a kunai at the neck of ino

Ino: smirked and grabbed a kunai in her pouch "You do know that I'm a fast ninja" she murmured and tried to stab you

You: suddenly transferred in front of ino and punched her stomach that caused her to fall on her knees

"But obviously that I'm a lot faster that you!" you smirked "I told you not to annoy me." You said and walked out the door with your hands at the back of your head. The whole class looked at Ino then you. "Naruto are you coming? Or do you want me to eat all the ramen in the bar" you said looking at naruto

"Hai! I'm coming Ramen here I come!" Naruto said joyfully and ran towards you

"damn it! You… you" Ino cursed

"huh?" You looked at ino "huh? What's your problem?"

Ino threw a kunai at you. You easily dodged it and appeared in front of ino. "listen. I know that you hate me for a particular reason. I don't know what it is but if I were you, you'll leave me alone coz you'll just get hurt ok?" you told her with a cheerful smile "so if you don't have another kunai to throw at me I'll just go coz a ramen bar is waiting for naruto and me" you said and left followed by naruto

"wow she's really strong" neji said

"yah and cute too" Lee followed with a major blush on his face

"huh?" neji looked at lee -_-; suspiciously

"n-no that's nothing" lee said

<obviously neji and lee has a crush on you>

you and Naruto went to the ramen bar, ate a couple of bowls and went to kakashi's house for training.

"Hi sorry were a bit late the ramen at the bar was sooo delicious!" Naruto said

" 'A LITTLE?!' YOU CALL 1 HOUR AND 30 MINS. 'A LITTLE'?" sakura shouted at naruto

you walked between naruto and sakura "sorry we were late it's my fault. I'm kasumi nice to meet you" you greeted sakura and reached for her hand

"hi kasumi! I'm Haruno Sakura. So I saw you yesterday. You were wearing sasuke's clothes and carrying you on his back." Sakura said

"well uh…" you said while thinking a for an excuse <honestly you won't tell her that you found yourself in sasuke's bathroom right?>

"I just gave her clothes because I felt sorry for an idiot like her" Sasuke smirked

"Hey!" You shouted

"Ok more training and less talking" kakashi said

"So what are you going to make us do kakashi-sensei I'm sure whatever it is I will be the first one who will be able to perfect it" said naruto proudly

Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi sweat dropped while you believed on what Naruto said. 'wow no one's ever this nice to me before' Naruto thought

"today you will concentrate your chakra on your feet. Ok you will climb that tree only using your feet."

'this is going to be easy! I mastered this last night' you thought

"Sasuke you first" kakashi ordered. Sasuke tried but failed.

"hn… sasuke you can practice there" kakashi said with his finger pointing a tree nearby. Sasuke smirked and somehow felt bad about him self for not succeeding.

"Next. Sakura"

Sakura also tried and also did not make it. Kakashi pointed a tree next to sasuke

"Naruto you next" kakashi announced 'you can do it naruto' you said. He gave you thumbs up. He did the hand positions and tried to do it but failed miserably. Kakashi pointed the next tree to sakura.

"Last Kasumi" Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto stopped to watched you. 'Remember the scroll says do the proper hand positions, check posture and balance your chakra' you told yourself. You ran and succeeded. "Sugoi!" Naruto and Sakura said. While Sasuke just smirked and got back on what he was doing.

"Very good kasumi!" kakashi said and patted you on your head

"Kakashi-sensei how did she do that?!" sakura asked ikura

"hand positions, good posture and balance charka" you answered her

"oh…" sakura said.

Everyone trained hard. Sakura succeeded. Sasuke succeeded. And Naruto succeeded one way or the other but you ended up helping him. Kakashi sighed "well let's just call this a day"

"ja-ne kakashi- sensei" said naruto somehow proud of himself

"hn. Feeling proud of himself. He doesn't even have the right to feel proud about himself" sasuke murmured under his breath.

Kakashi went inside his house. Sakura and Sasuke walked home leaving naruto and you alone.

"I'll walk you home kasumi" naruto said while looking on the ground

"Sure" you said with a cheerful voice

"ne naruto… I want to get a head protector just like yours" you said directly looking at him

"you'll get one! No worries! Anyway you mastered the Kage bunshin technique no problem!"

"yah I think I'll take the test tomorrow!"

"yah! And when you'll be a great ninja and me the hokage you'll be my right hand ninja!"

"you promise?"

"yah that's a promise of best pals" he answered you and sealed your promise with a pinky swear.

You arrived home and <as usual> read and mastered at least 5 techniques all at one night.

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE- you turned of your annoying alarm clock and did your daily routine each morning. You got out of the house and saw naruto waiting for you.

"morning naruto!" you greeted

"morning"

^you started walking^

"naruto, you know a better way to go to school?" you asked him

"what?"

"a race" you said and ran

"hey wait for me!" he said and followed you

you passed by a path with rows of cherry blossoms. You stopped and walked backwards and took a peak. Naruto caught up to you. "huf huf huf huf you… are… fast" naruto said while catching his breath

"sugoi!" you said admiring the cherry blossoms<konohaninja sugoi means cool; awesome>

"Kasumi! We'll be late come on!" Naruto said while pulling you towards the academy

'come here… you seek for power… come here…' said a voice

"huh? Seek for power?" You whispered staring at the path

"hellooooo? Kasumi" naruto said while waving his hand in front of your face

"Oh sorry naruto" you said

You arrived the school. Both of you scanned the corridors if there are still students outside but nobody seems to be there. Naruto ran to your classroom and you followed him. "Mou! Kasumi it's your fault!" Naruto whined

"hehe gomen-ne naruto" you said

the both of you arrived slid the door open and caught the attention of everybody in the classroom.

"both of you are late" kakashi said

"hehehe… better late than never I guess…" you said and let go a peace sign ^-^V

kakashi sighed "well naruto go take your seat"

Naruto went to his seat with his hands at the back of his head.

"Kasumi are you ready to take your test?" Kakashi asked you

You nodded. "So what will I do?" you asked with a smirk

"Bunshin no jutsu"

"how many?"

"10."

"okay!" you said cheerfully "hand positions". There was smoke.

"show off!" ino smirked

The smoke cleared and there was 10 exact kasumis in the room.

"passed" Kakashi said . He went behind his desk opened a drawer and reveled a head protector "here" he said and tossed it to you.

"thanks" you said and ran towards your seat.

"ok now, class could you blah blah blah blah" kakashi said <sorry cant think of a question>

you looked out the window with your cheek resting on your hand and stared at the row of cherry blossoms. 'hm I wonder… why do I sense power there? maybe I'll drop off when school is over… maybe with naruto?' you thought

"kasumi"

You ignored the voice and continue staring at the window

"kasumi!"

The class giggled. You looked away from the window and saw kakashi in front of you.

"AAAAAAHHHHH" you screamed and fell of your seat.

The class let out a burst of laughter.

"ka-ka-kakashi! Why did you do that?!" you asked

"you weren't paying attention!"

"I was paying attention!"

"yah while day dreaming?"

"hmph!" you said an looked away

"ok class see you on Monday ok?" kakashi said <yah just pretend it's Friday today>

you went to naruto "Naruto I want to go there." You said pointing at the window.

"huh? Why?" he asked you

"nothing particular… I just wanted to see what's at the end of the path" you said

"yah sure" naruto said. You smiled at naruto who was looking suspiciously at you.

You and naruto were walking through the path. You're hands were holding naruto's while admiring the cherry blossoms. Naruto stared at your hand that was holding his and blushed. You looked at Naruto. "huh? Naruto? Why are you blushing?" you asked him

He looked at you and stared at you "your hands are warm and soft" he whispered

You looked at him with a what-do-you-mean face. "Naruto what are you talking about?" you asked him

"Nothing" he replied. You smiled. Both of you reached the end of the path.
