(Asuka has acquired her Eva, and is using the Lavis Cannon as an extension of the Progknife's blade. But will it be enough to bring down this monstrosity?)

Asuka stared him down, her adversary. The one who was taking everything away that she cherished, and in blind fury, took the initiative. She charged forward, sound vanishing from her ears, replaced with the pulsing drumbeat of her rushing heart. She made a wide slash, but the demon reacted quickly, strafing around behind her, his arm already raised to cut her down, but as he swung, it clashed with an orange AT Field. Asuka took this opportunity to turn, and delivery a spin kick to his mid section, sending him careening into a building.

Asuka followed to slash, but her attack was parried, and the back end of one of the bladed arms struck her in the side of the face, causing her to spin, and come off balance slightly. She used a high rise to catch herself, and barely had enough time to bring up her AT Field in a blocking position to stop both blades from coming across her. She then used her AT Field to shove him back, following up with a quick swipe with her progknife, catching his side a little bit. The creature growled in frustration, and floated back somewhat, pointing his blade at her.

At the top of his "head" two glowing balls of light appeared, and from them, multiple blue balls of energy shot forward at her, leaving a blue ring vapor trail behind them. Asuka instinctively ducked, as they all sailed by, only to turn around, and see the building behind her, as well as the blonde and raven haired occupants within, be struck by these balls, and explode.

Asuka looked back at him, growling fiercely, and charged "YOU BASTAAARD!"

The creature cackled, and began firing countless rounds, two of them striking Asuka in the chest and left shoulder, before she started to run, and dodge, while maneuvering closer. The demon cackled once more, as it moved with her, bringing it's left arm in an upwards swipe, taking out her left arm. She held in a scream of pain, and focused on defeating him, countering with a wild spin slash, cutting into him twice before delivering a round house to his head. The two glowing balls of light vanished, as he crashed into another building.

Asuka couldn't believe it. She was actually winning, she could almost cheer for joy. Everything was going to back to normal. Everything would be the way it was. She was going to triumph over evil!!

And suddenly, all the lights within the Eva went off. "What?! What is this!??" She screamed, as she jerked on the controls. Falz was once again floating in the air. "Momma! Why!? Why cant you work?? WHY!?!?" An artificial voice came over the intercom "Evangelion Pilot Ejection System is now active." "Wait..what!? I GAVE NO ORDER TO EJECT!" "Now Ejecting." "NO!!" Was all she could scream as her entry plug was forcibly ejected. She kicked open the hatch, and looked out, just in time to see thousands of beams of light slam into the Evangelion, then all simultaneously explode. "NO! MOMMA!!!! NO!!!" She jumped out, reaching out for her Eva, but landed hard on something. The ground was still a few hundred feet below her, so it was only natural to wonder what the hell had been going on. She looked down, and saw glowing letters, sliding by her feet, in an unintelligible language.

She looked around, and saw she was standing on a giant glowing ring, which went around Dark Falz. He turned, looking at her, almost as if he was grinning. She was defenseless. She had nothing to help her now. He slowly advanced on her, when a whistling noise came from the sky. Asuka looked up, and jumped back, as the Lavis Cannon slammed into the "ground" in front of her. Without hesitation, she grabbed it, and rolled, narrowly being missed by Dark Falz' wide swing. She took this opportunity to slash hard at the underside of his arm, taking it off completely. The wound this time, didn't heal.

Falz was angry, and he showed it. He flew high into the air, the glowing balls returning, but only this time, smaller than before. They launched smaller balls of energy, that headed down, stopped, then went straight at Asuka. she rolled, jumped, and dodged each of them, and as if a sixth sense went off in her head, quickly jumped to the left, as multiple beams of light slammed into the ground she had once occupied, and exploded. Dark Falz flew down, cackling again, charging at her quickly, but again, she dodged, slashing deep into the upper part of his chest. He floated away from her, but pointed his remaining blade at her. Her eyes suddenly went white, and her vision went black. She could feel herself in another place.

In a place of complete blackness, she saw Shinji standing before her, covered with blood. She looked down, but was dressed in her normal school clothes.

"Shin...Shinji? Is it really you?!" Shinji looked up at her "Asuka?" He then suddenly looked angry "Why are you here!? Are you here to make fun of me for something again!?" She was furious "WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!? I just went through a whole hell of a lot of trouble just to get YOU back!! Misato died because of YOU! So is Ritsuko, hell, even your FATHER is dead! I cant find Kaji, or any of the crew members, or ANYONE!" Shinji scoffed "What problem of it is mine?" Asuka reared back, and attempted to slap him hard, but as her hand made contact with his face, an explosion of pain occured in her left cheek, as if someone had slapped her hard, sent her reeling backwards. "You...you hit me!" Shinji's voice was merged with Kaji's, Misato's, and her Mother's, as they came from out of nowhere. "Wrong. You hit yourself."

Asuka growled "What the hell do you mean?!" It was Misato's voice only this time. "You pushed us away Asuka." Kaji now, "You pretended to be something you weren't." Shinji's "You fought against those that care for you." Asuka looked at him, and shouted back "No! I didn't! I didn't need any of you! I still don't! The only reason I came to get you back, was because it will set the world the way I want it to be!" Her mother this time, "Asu-chan, it's not polite to lie." "I'M NOT LYING!" All of their voices came together, and began to chant "Liar. Liar. Liar." "NO!" "Liar. LIAR. LIAR! LIAR!" "NO NO NO!!" "LIAR! LIAR!! LIAR!!" "NO! NO DAMN IT NO!!!" She crumpled to the ground, sobbing, but Shinji's voice came through, only it wasn't from Shinji. "She's like me.."

Asuka raised her head from her hands, and looked up, but saw nothing. Not even Shinji. His voice continued "I hope she likes me." "Wow! She's cute!" "That's a lovely sundress." "Thermal...expansion.." Asuka looked around "Shinji?" "Asuka?" "Shinji? Is that really you?" "Asuka, do you hate me?" Asuka was silent for a moment. Shinji's voice came again, only it was darker, and depressed "I think she hates me." "There's no doubt about it now." "Why does she hate me so much?!" "I thought I could love her.." "I wish I could be stronger.." "Goddamn them! God damn them all!" Asuka looked around "Are these Shinji's thoughts? "Correct." She whipped around, and there stood Idola. "What the hell?! What are you!? Where the hell am I!?" "I am what I am, you are where you are." "What is all this?! Why is Shinji saying all these things?" Idola pointed at her "Because of you."

Asuka was stunned.

"What..?"

"Because of you, his happiness was robbed every day. He fell in love with you, and knew you would reject him. And reject him you did. You rejected him as a person, as a living, breathing human being. You made him wish for strength, and now he has it."
Asuka had to fight back tears. "You mean this whole ordeal was started because of me?" Idola nodded. Shinji's voice came through again. "Asuka..do you hate me?"

Asuka gripped her hands tightly. And took a deep breath, before standing up straight, and looking Idola straight in the eye.

"No."

In an instant, the world of black shattered, and Asuka was back where she was. Falz leaned back, and hurled a black ball of smoking energy at her, but she moved out of the way just in time. "What in the name of God was that?" She looked back towards Falz, who was coming in again to try and cut her, be she reacted first, and everything begun to move in slow motion.

Dark Falz swung.

Asuka ducked.

Dark Falz began to pull back.

Asuka ran forward, and jumped.

Dark Falz attempted to move.

Too slow.

Asuka landed on the side of his head, burring the Lavis Cannon deep in his skull, then jumped back onto the ring.

Falz screamed in agony, and a white explosion occurred a moment later, taking Asuka, and just about all of the entire city of Tokyo-3 with it.

Asuka now stood in a vast, grassy open field, decorated with flowers, that stretched on as far as the eye could see, with a beautiful blue sky above, the sun shining brightly, a clouds lazily drifted by. She looked around, and saw a few feet away from her, a battered, and broken Shinji Ikari, who was struggling to breathe. "Oh god! Shinji!" She rushed to his side, and propped him up against her arm. He looked up at her, his right eye slashed. "Oh God..Shinji, what happened to you?" Shinji responded with a ragged breath "As...suka. I-I'm sorry." Asuka smiled slightly, and for the first time, spoke to him in a soothing tone. "Don't be stupid. There's nothing to be sorry for." Shinji smiled at her "As..suka. Yo-ur smi-hiling." Asuka smiled a little more, and blushed slightly. "Don't worry about me you idiot. Are you going to be ok?" "I s..aw, hever-rything." Tears started to come from his good eye. "Eve-ryone, their..their..dead. And..it's my..fault.." "No Shinji, it wasn't your fault! It wasn't anyones!" "If..only..I could.. be strong." He raised a battered and bruised arm to her face, and she gently rested against it. "Stro..ng like.." He swallowed "like, you.." Asuka was on the brink of tears. "If..I was..was strong..I..I could have..impressed...you, and..you would..like me.." "But Shinji..I do like you." Shinji's arm dropped, his eye widening in surprise. "Wh-at..?" "It's hard for me to explain Shinji...but, I.." She searched for the right words "It's hard for me to let someone get close to me. All my life, I've been hurt by people I've let get in, so I put up a wall around me to block everyone out-" She was cut off, "Just..like me." Asuka smiled again, and nodded "Yeah. Just like you Shinji." She had to keep him talking, as she hoped something would come along. out of all the experiences, all the demons, angels, gods, and everything else. she hoped that just this once, a miracle would happen for her. For him. For them both.

"Asu..ka?" "Yes Shinji?" "Thank...you for...for.." His eye went white, and his breathing stopped. "Shinji? SHINJI?! Thank me for what!? Tell me Shinji! Talk to me!!" She shook the boys limp body, and tears began to stream from her eyes "Oh Shinji, not you too.." She tried not to cry, but the tears wouldn't stop, as the land around them began to evaporate into tiny balls of blue light, and vanish into the sky. "No! NO NO! NO!" She shouted and cried, hugging him tightly. The pain was way too much for her to bear anymore. She lost everything, and it seemed that she was damned to remain here, holding someone that wanted her heart.

And through all of the sadness and pain, a voice whispered into her ear. It sounded like Rico. "Thank you Asuka."

Asuka looked up, and suddenly, reality seemed to be ripped away, and all she could do was scream...

...as she bolted upright in her bed.
