Chapter 7

The Soldiers Fate

====Begin P.O.V Mode. ====

P.O.V of Captain Shenryu Yamato, of the JSSDF Special Task Force.

We had been plannin' this attack for quite a while now. As much as I dislike the idea of killin' some lil' kids, it's mah' duty, and I'm a man of mah' word. As we approached the main gate, I noticed there was only one guard, and man what a fucked up get-up he was in. What, is the Commander of NERV a faggot er' somethin'? Oh well, don't mattah. I slowly made my way to a bush behind him, and ever so slowly began to crawl behind him.

Suckah' did'nt notice me, but he noticed mah' knife when it severed his spine. I even decided to show off for mah' buds behind me, and lift him up a lil' bit. I let his body fall, took his keycard, and opened the gates. I waved my hands in the air, and ducked inside, as we began to storm the place. I slung my M-16 over my shoulder, and met up with my group, "Libra."

One of them greeted me with a grin, and asked me if I was ready to kick some ass. I nodded assent, and returned that grin, with a "Betcha' I rack up over 100 this time boys!" And we were off, moving down corridor after corridor, meeting up with a large pocket of resistance. One of the other teams found the employee break room, and started to fill it with fire. Damn the ladies in there had a set ah lungs.

But their screams didnt mean anything ta' me. I've been in the JSSDF for over five years now, and killing wasent somethin' new. I set my weapon to burst fire, and began emptying rounds at the group ahead of us. It was almost as if they WANTED tah get shot, standing right in the line of fire, not even movin' out of th' way. These people ain't properly trained! This is gonna be easy!

A grenade easily removed the remainder out of the way, and we began moving towards where "Blue" was being kept. As we made our way, taking out workers here and there, I spotted someone dragging a body and crying. I grinned, and chosed to end her nightmare, and put a few slugs into her head and chest.

We kept pushing ahead, till we finally made it to the "Eva-whatcha-ma-call-it" cage. I have no idea what the fuck this thing is for, or what it does, but all I know is, it's fucking ugly. My squad started to give each other high fives, and I ordered one of them to let the Commander know we secured our target.

Thats when I heard gunshots, and people screaming. But what really piked my curiosity, was the crunching sounds. I ordered two to stay behind, and the rest to follow me, as we headed down the catwalk, into a long hallway. The lights were blinking on and off, and the walls were covered with blood. The others behind me started to question our surroundings, and even started cracking jokes on "Too many grenades thrown."

I gave a chuckle to that one, but then saw someone standing ahead of me. Some guy, with black eyes, and black patches around his skin. Somethin was off, way off, that and he was fuckin' ugly, so I emptied a few rounds his way. But they hit somethin' like a black octagon or somethin' and bounced back, hittin two of m teammates square in the head. I shouted a retreat, but the other end had been blocked off by these...weird assed mutant things. Their arms we're like...glowing red blades, but their bodies...looked like somethin' outta fuckin' madman's nightmare.

We chose rather than die, to fight our way out, and blazed through em, runnin' back to the target point, only to find that the two men I had posted, were gone. I radioed the Commander, but to no avail. The radio was dead..well, not exactly dead, but all I could hear was men and women screaming, as well as the most inhuman noises. I dropped my radio, and started to head back to where we came in, screaming "EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!"

These things were everywhere! I turned a corner, where we used the grenade to kill the NERV troops, and where the bodies had lay, now wandered these hulkin'...things. Their bodies were small for their size, but their arms and hands were huge, and had two medium sized blades where the fingers should be. A NERV troop ran through, screaming as if he'd gone mad, but when the things saw them, they used their massive spiked hands and crushed him into paste in one blow.

The things turned and saw me, and started to slowly move my way. I opted to dash down the corridor to my left, and head for the main deck, when I heard something behind me click, then an explosive pain in my back. The damn thing threw it's arm at me! I tore myself off the blades, and continued running, dropping my helmet as I went, but as I rounded another corner, my pace slowed, and my vision started to dim.

It felt like I couldnt breath, and I could hear more of the damned things starting to head my way. I propped myself against the wall, and managed to ignore the burning pain in my arm, and drew my gun, and began to fire at their heads. One by one they fell back, but every time one dropped, there was another to take it's place. My vision is about out now..and I cant breathe...there's that black scaley guy again...sayin' somethin'...I...I cant...

==== One Hour Later. P.O.V Of Captain Shenryu Yamato of the JSSDF====

Shinji gingerly skipped over the bodies that lay in his path, and the monsters quickly moved out of his way. One made the mistake of attacking him, mistaking him for an enemy, and before it could even touch him, it's body was rent asunder, sending purple blood and black flesh onto the walls. Shinji's smile never wavered however, as he finally made it to the giant blast doors of Commander Ikari's office. He knocked twice, and was greeted with silence, so he took it upon himself to kick the the doors down. Ikari sat at his desk, his eyes slightly widened, out of his original pose. "Father, it's time we have a talk."

Gendo drew his gun, leveling it with Shinji's head. "How did you open those doors?" Shinji chuckled slightly "I kicked them stupid. Didnt you see my foot?" He made a kicking gesture, and the gun in Gendo's hand suddenly flipped into the air as if it was kicked, landing a few feet away. Ikari was stunned, "What...what the hell is this?" Shinji snickered "What? No cool head this time father? Whats the matter? Too much pressure?" Gendo tapped a button on his desk, and the door behind him flew open. "SEIZE HIM!" But the monsters behind him simply stood there, until Shinji spoke up, "Tear off his hands."

Central Dogma was in an uproar. Multiple enemy attacks, as well as multiple unknown signals were popping up everywhere, though the number of JSSDF troops was beginning to slowly diminish, and time was running out before the bombers arrived. Hyuuga, Maya, and Aoba were hiding under a desk, firing back from time to time at the soldiers, and scanning for any signs of help from Maya's computer. Aboa peered over her shoulder "Anything yet?" "Nothing..nothing except all these unknown signals.." And the shriek of extreme pain didnt help ease her mind either.

The mutants that were behind Gendo had indeed torn off his hands, and presented them to their master. "So this is where you hid Adam. I'm quite impressed human, not many would seek to implant an Angel within themselves." Gendo could do nothing but grit his teeth in the most obscure pain he has ever felt. "Shinji smiled wickedly, and snapped his fingers, and Gendo's hands caught a white flame, and withered away. Gendo looked up, and saw the only chance of reclaiming his wife vanish into ash. "YOU BASTARD! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE JUST DONE!?" Shinji smiled "I just doomed the entire human race, and stripped away your hopes and dreams." Gendo growled low, staring his captor down.

Never EVER has he been on the shorter end of the stick and enjoyed it. He always tried to remain higher than everyone else, and to be treated like scum was a fate worse than death. "Who. Are. You?" Shinji, no, Dark Falz smiled, and turned around and began heading for the Eva cages. "Someone that has plans for you. Take good care of him." As Falz walked down the hallway, the agonistic screams of Gendo Ikari made him skip a little as he walked.

Asuka was not a happy girl, in fact, she was very pissed. So pissed, that the monsters in her way posed no threat at all with the large locker she wielded as a weapon. "DAMNED THINGS! GET OUT OF MY WAY!" You could feel Adam's sweatdrop as he attempted to calm the ragin' gaijin. 'Miss Sohryu! Please! Calm yoursel...urk..' Adam started to gasp and wheeze as if something was being cut off. "What is it?" Adam spoke through the pain 'He...he found me. Sohryu, we have to get to the Eva cages NOW.' Asuka nodded, and continued to bash her way through. One of the meaker monsters managed to sweatdrop, panic, and try to run, before meeting locker oblivion.

Rei's eyes snapped open in the LCL tank she was in. She looked around, and saw nothing, but could feel the pain, and anguish around her. She could feel the hate, and rage, as well as the sadness, and pride. She closed her eyes, and focused her thoughts, and all of the sudden, the LCL tank shattered, but she didnt cut herself on the glass, and she walked a few feet above the ground, towards where her clothes and towel were kept. As she dried herself off, she opened her eyes only slightly. Had anyone of seen them, they would have fled for their lives. "He is reborn.." Rei dressed, turned, and began heading towards the Evangelion sized elevator that lead to Lilith.

As soon as she opened the door, hordes of grotesque monsters assailed her, only to be blown back into atoms by an AT Field. Rei walked unfazed, her clothes beginning to shimmer and glow, and a ball of light appearing in her hand. As she cleared out of the hallway, she was dressed in armor that shone with a soft glorious light, and in her hand, as a battle scythe with a glowing pink blade. She let the shaft rest upon her shoulder, occasionally lifting it to swath a path through the bodies of the damned. "I shall end this nightmare." and Lilith spoke into her mind 'With my power, so you shall my child, so you shall.'

As she walked, human bodies that had long been dead began to move, and quiver, the flesh changing from whatever color had been originally, to a sickly black. Some of them changed into the hulking mutants, while others with glowing blades for forearms. In the office of Gendo Ikari however, their stood one lone figure, with a blade on one arm, and a shield looking device on the other, but the topper, was the glasses tha fell from it's head as it finished changing. The glasses of Gendo Ikari.

(Rei has been empowered by Lilith with incredible abilities! As well as some provisions! But will it be enough to take down Dark Falz, as well as his henchman Olga? What does this all mean for Asuka? Will she be able to find Dark Falz before it's too late? What of the Bombers carring the Mass Produced Evas! All this to come and more, on the next episode of Dark Force: Eva)
