Chapter III: Dis'tra

"Could you tell me how in the HELL this happened!?" Misato was pissed.

"Major, please calm down-"

"How can I, Sub-commander!? My charge was snatched from beneath my nose!?"

"I may be able to clarify, Misato." In walked Ritsuko. She had a bunch of papers under her arm.

"So you mean…?"

"Yes." She pointed to an x-ray. "This is Shinji before." She pointed to another x-ray. "This is him now. According to this, this snake thing is wrapped around his spinal cord."

"Well, can you cut the damn thing out!?"

"It would be best not to. This indicates that it's tapped into his nervous system. Any attempts to remove the creature would either impair him for life, or kill him."

Suddenly, a noise outside caused Ritsuko, Kozo, and Misato to turn. The door exploded, and as the dust settled, they could make out a figure. It turned out to be Shinji, with a girl on his shoulder.

"Asuka…"

Shinji looked at Misato, and raised his hand. A device stood out, a circular jewel imbedded in his palm, with wires attached to the tips of the fingers which were covered by gold, and as they watched, an invisible wave of energy knocked Kozo into the far wall. Then went Ritsuko. Misato whipped off her sidearm, pointing it at Shinji. He looked at her lazily, and she saw the imprint of a hawk on his forehead.

"Di'dak'dida?" =You dare? = He raised the device.

"Commander, the Third Child has escaped and taken the Second and Major Katsuragi!"

"Follow him, shoot him if you have to."

"Sir, he has gone into Terminal Dogma."

Ice ran through Gendo's veins. `Oh shit.'

Shinji walked through the massive door carrying both unconscious females.

"Hey, stop right there!"

Shinji stopped, turned around, and faced the six guards. He grinned, and pressed a blue jewel buried in gold on top of his hand. As the guards watched, a shaft of light from above surrounded the boy, and 5 metal rings dropped down, surrounding him. Then he disappeared. And the rings moved back to whence they came.

Shinji rematerialized onboard the pyramid vessel. He deactivated the transport rings and walked toward THE room. As the massive door opened, he dropped the 2 females to the ground, jolting them awake. As they blearily looked around, he reactivated his Horus helmet.

"Ai'emain." =Stand up. =

Asuka glared at him. "I'm gonna kick your ass to the next universe!" As she jumped at him, she was grabbed from behind by another Horus guard.

"Rin'tel'n Dis'tra Jaffa!" =Get away from the First Prime! =

Another grabbed Misato. "Hi'ato." =Walk on. =

Asuka and Misato were ushered into the room where, on an elevated platform designed like steps, sat an Egyptian-style throne. The two Jaffa stood on either side of them with Shinji up front. The two whacked their staffs against the back of Asuka's and Misato's legs.

"Ke'i!" =Kneel! =

"E'qwaa'hol." =Bow. =

Asuka and Misato got on their knee (Asuka, begrudgingly) just as a massive set of doors opened on the other side. Through the bright light, 3 figures were seen. The middle one was adorned with robes and had a golden Horus helmet. He approached the throne and sat.

"I ra be'bju?" =Are these for me? =

Shinji nodded, or the head nodded. "Ti'u, Dis'tra Horus." =Yes, lord Horus. = He pointed to Misato. "Bi'bo?" =Do you want? =

Horus nodded. "Ti'u." He pointed to Asuka. "Prim'ta."

The Jaffa beside her grabbed Asuka and dragged her to the door.

"Ke'I ahk."

The Jaffa looked at Horus, then pressed the button on his belt. His helmet retracted, revealing Toji.

"STOOGE!?"

He smirked. "Tal'mac Lar'nix'va. =I am Lar'nix'va. = He dragged her away, even as she screamed to be let go. But not before seeing the other two Jaffa reveal their identities.

"BAKA!? WONDERGIRL!?"

Shinji and Rei walked after them, out the door.

"Ris'vi he'u." =Close the doors. =

As the doors closed, Horus stood up and walked toward Misato, who cringed as he touched her cheek. "What do you want from me?"

"A mate," he said in flawless Japanese. As she stood surprised, he telepathically retracted his helmet. As his face became clear, she nearly had a heart attack.

"K-Kaji!?" she whispered.
