“I am the greatest Eva pilot ever and you are nothing to me.”

 

“Momma,” comes up to a closed door.

 

“I can't belief that idiot beat me!”

 

“Momma I was chosen to be a pilot that means people will start to like me and I won't be alone anymore.” Puts hand on the door knob.

 

“NO NO NO get it out of my mind I don't want to remember those things…oh god it's raping my mind!”

 

“Momma I don't need daddy anymore.” She turns the knob and opens it.

 

“Momma you're here you were with me the whole time.”

 

“Momma…” The young Asuka looks at her mom hanging from the ceiling with her Asuka doll hanging right next to her. All the young girl can do is stare and not blink at the horrific scene.

 

Asuka the red headed the second child and the pilot of Eva unit 02 was still unconscious in her room after yesterdays events had occurred. All she could do right now is regain her strength and suffer her nightmares again.

 

`Why am I here and why am I here with that idiot Shinji.' She looks over to Shinji who was just looking up at the sky. “Hey idiot what are you looking at?” Shinji doesn't respond but keeps on looking at the sky. Asuka gets frustrated and yells at him. “Baka you better answer me.” Still he doesn't answer and that sets Asuka off and she gets up and walks over to him. She grabs him by the shoulders and shakes him, “you better answer me.” When she starts to shake him but to Asuka surprise instead of an answer Shinji's head falls off on the ground. Asuka screams in horror and backs away but she trips and falls looking at the head less Shinji staring at her with a smirk.

 

“Join me Asuka it's nice here.” The head of Shinji speaks to her and Asuka stares at the face in complete shock.

 

“W…WH…What do you mean join you?” Asuka stutters out looking at the eyes that are boring into hers.

 

“Join us Asuka you don't have to worry about being alone.” Asuka turns around to look behind her to see Touji but without an arm and a leg crawling up to her and she staggers to her feet and quickly backs away.

 

“Leave me alone!” She yells at them.

 

“Join us Asuka you won't have to worry about being hurt anymore.” She once again turns around to see Misato burnt to a crisp face all mangled up and to look like a bullet hole in her side.

 

“What the hell are you all talking about?” Asuka yells at them.

 

“Asuka if you join us there won't be any more nightmares.” Rei is now standing next to her naked with a smile on her face. Asuka almost trips backing away from her.

 

“I don't want to join you do you hear me!” Asuka is breathing hard and trying to get everything together.

 

“Join us Asuka Join us Asuka join us Asuka” She turns back around to see that they are walking or crawling towards her and the headless Shinji getting carried by his own body. They keep on saying the same thing over and over again but something starts to happen and there voices start to disappears and are getting replaced by some woman voice.

 

“Join me my daughter.” Asuka pales and turns around to see that she has appeared to be inside a bedroom and right in front of her is her hanging mother.

 

“Momma…” that's all Asuka can get out.

 

“Join me Asuka and we can be together again and I won't let anything hurt you.” Asuka mom says to her but Asuka just shakes her head. “You stupid child you will die and join me.” Asuka backs up and turns around but only to be stopped by the younger version of her with the doll.

 

“I think we should join mother.” The young Asuka says to the older one.

 

“No I will not die I don't want to die!” Older Asuka yells at the young one.

 

“You have no say.” A deeper voice says but it sounded like a guy so she turns around to only to see two black wings and a sword that impales her through the gut. Asuka suddenly wakes up and screams like never before.

 

*Before Asuka's dream*

 

Misato is walking up the stairs at her apartment complex she doesn't know what to do at NERV so she decided to come to her home. She finally reaches the floor and walks to she gets to her door but only to notice that her door has been kicked open. She draws out her gun and quietly walks in to her home and looks around holding the gun in front of her. As she is quietly walking she hears some breathing coming from the couch so she carefully and quietly walks over to the couch but what she finds is someone sleeping on her couch.

 

`Well, well, well what do we have here?” Misato looks at Michael who is laying on her couch. She points the gun at his face and hits the couch, “hey wake up.” She hits the couch again and Michael starts to stir a bit and then his eyes open to only to be greeted by a gun in his face. “Who are…” She didn't even finish because she was suddenly pushed against a wall. She heard glass brake and something else it sounded like someone speaking. She opened her eyes to see Michael holding her by the neck and have a tense look in his eyes.

 

“I don't know who you are but what gives you the right to come in here and point a gun in some persons face?” Michael brings the gun up so she can see it and with that he crushes it right in front of her. Her eyes shoot open in disbelief she looks at the once upon a time gun then back at Michaels face. His face doesn't show any kind of violent sign only a self defense. Michael turns around when he hears a toilet flush and someone running into the living room.

 

“Michael I heard glass braking so I came…to see…Misato?” Shinji looks at the woman who is being held by the neck by Michael.

 

“Shinji?” She manages to get out with Michaels hand squeezing her neck. Michael looks at her then lets go of her and steps out of the way.

 

“Sorry about that didn't know who you were.” Michael says but he is ignored the only thing on both Misatos and Shinjis minds are that they have found each other and that they are alive. Misato runs to Shinji and engulfs him in the biggest hug and he gladly returns it. They both are crying but in joy of finding each other. Michael can only watch with a smile on his face of a reunion that has occurred.

 

“You came back, I thought you were dead forever.” Shinji cried into her shoulder.

 

“I don't know what happened, all I remember is being shot then a loud explosion and waking back up by the elevator.” Misato was holding the boy like he would just disappear.

 

“Misato I rejected third impact I didn't want to live in a fantasy world. Shinji brought his head up and looked into her eyes.

 

“I am proud of you Shinji, you have done so well.” Shinji is still hugging Misato and smiling.

 

“Misato Asuka and Rei are also back but they are asleep right now but I bet Asuka will be glad to see you…well I think she will.” Misato breaks the hug and stands up and looks over to Michael.

 

“Who is he and how did he crush my gun with his bare hand.” Misato is talking to Shinji but is staring at Michael.

 

“Well this is Michael and well about the gun thing Michael isn't really…” Shinji was suddenly interrupted by a very loud scream coming from Asukas room. They all look at each other.

 

“That sounded like Asuka.” Misato says and runs to her door with the other two right behind her. She throws the door open and runs in to see what is happening.

 

“I DON'T WANT TO DIE!” Asuka keeps on screaming the same thing over and over. Misato goes over to the girl and wraps in her in a hug and try to calm her down.

 

“Asuka its going to be ok it was only a dream.” Misato was rocking her in her arms. Shinji was about to go over there to but something stopped him. When he looked over his shoulder Michael shook his head and pointed to the hallway.

 

When they walked out Michael turned around and closed the door. “I don't think we will be any help.” Michael looks at him and Shinji has head down.

 

“Everyone I care about always has to suffer, why do all the people I want to protect always end up getting hurt?” Michael was looking at Shinji feeling sad for the him.

 

“Shinji I can't answer that question but I can tell you this though.” He pauses for a second to let Shinji look at him in the eyes. “When there is pain soon great pleasure will come and all will be right with the world.”

 

With those words said Michael walks back to the living room and sits on the couch. Shinji is just standing in the same place looking at the spot were Michael just stood. `Maybe he is right but if it is true then why do I keep on suffering?' He walks in the living also and waits with Michael for Misato to come out.

 

What seemed like hours only a few minutes went by when they finally heard a door open then close. Shinji and Michael stood up and saw Misato walk out of the hall with a really concern face.

 

“Misato is Asuka going to be ok?” Shinji looked at his guardian worriedly.

 

“Honestly Shinji I don't know, whatever Asuka must have been dreaming was probably horrible to make her scream like that.” Misato has her eyes closed shaking her head some.

 

“Did she go back to sleep?” Michael asks and Misato just shakes her head. Misato looks back up at the person who was just a little bit ago occupying her couch. He was about two inches taller then Shinji, he has jet black hair that was kind of long well enough to cover his ears. His eyes were as dark as his hair but in them it showed a really caring person. At the moment he was wearing what looked like jogging pants and a rather baggy shirt but she still could tell he looked toned out some.

 

“Well now let us go into the kitchen and we can talk about you Michael.” Misato walks to the kitchen followed by both boys. “Tell me everything.” She sits down and so do they and after that Shinji and Michael tell her everything that has happened.

 

“Yeah the things you guys haven't seen me do yet, is use energy attacks but some other time perhaps.” Misato was stunned to find out about this kid. She wasn't shocked or anything but just stunned to find out he came from somewhere else.

 

“So you are telling me that you are not human?” Michael just shakes his head. “Well I can't say that it's out of the ordinary considering what happened here.”

 

“Well what actually happened here I still haven't heard that story.” Michael asks the two but it stays silent for a few minutes.

 

“Well it is a long story but I guess you deserve to know if you are staying here.” Misato starts to tell the story about what happened during second impact then she told most of the story that lead all the way up to when she got shot. Then when she was finished Shinji picked up were she left off.

 

“Wow…I can't belief all that happened here.” Michael was staring at the table not even bothering to look at the other two occupants of the kitchen.

 

“Well guys I have had a long day so I am going to turn in.” She turns to Michael, “Michael you can live here if you like because being and all.”

 

Michael looks up at her and smiled, “thank you that is very kind of you.” Misato walks over to Shinji and hugs him.

 

“I'm so glad that you're safe.” Shinji smiles and hugs her back.

 

“I am glad you are safe to Misato.” They break the hug and Misato starts to walk to her room.

 

“Goodnight you two.” She says before disappearing into her room.

 

“Shinji you can sleep on the couch.” Michael says but Shinji starts to protest.

 

“I can't you're a guest, I will just sleep on the floor.” Shinji is about to lay on the floor but is stopped by Michael.

 

“No I prefer the floor just hand me a pillow and a blanket and I will be find for right now.” Shinji just shrugs his shoulders and hands him the pillow and blanket. They are both laying down trying to get to sleep.

 

“Michael are you awake still?” Shinji kind of hoping he is.

 

“Yeah,” Michael is just laying there staring up at the ceiling. “Do you need something?”

 

“No, I was just going to say that I have this feeling you weren't brought here on accident.” Shinji says not getting anything out of Michael. “It just could be me though.”

 

“You are not the only one that has that feeling.” After that is said no more words are spoken and they let sleep overcome them. They sleep to prepare for the new day ahead the new task at hand, the rebuilding of Tokyo 3.
