Author's Notes: This Nightwalker fanfic is a remake of my pervious one entitled Vampire Angel. At the time I wrote this it was a few years ago before I found MediaMiner, and during those years ago I had only watched Nightwalker once and I was not a huge Cain/Shido pairing fan. I'll be honest; I thought Cain was a real bastard. Plus I was a fan of the Shido/Riho pair.

However ALL of that has changed greatly. After watching Nightwalker several times again since then, my opinions about the characters Cain and Riho have changed. I now see Riho has the annoying, self-pitied (how my sister describes Riho), unable-to-fend-for-herself, depressing, overly dependant, and useless (because she can't fight Breeds to save her life) twit that she really is! When she became a vampire, she gave up on trying to carry out any kind of life style rather then altering it to fit her new life as a vampire.

I no longer see Cain as a bastard…well, I still do, but now I love him for it! Cain's everything Riho's not, and my sister agrees that Cain suits as a better mate for Shido. Not to mention he's drop-dead (pun unintended) gorgeous.

These are my reasons for rewriting Vampire Angel, but I'll still keep Vampire Angel posted because not everyone favors the Cain/Shido pairing.
