Running down an empty road,
Broken dreams lying at your feet,
When your heart feels too cold,
And life's happy moments were too fleet,
When death seems to surround you,
And their cold glares pierce through your soul,
When words are lost and they don't listen,
And hurt and mistrust is all that's told,
When you just want it to be over,
But there's nowhere you belong,
When betrayal was all they left you,
And you only have a broken song,
