Chapter 4: Meet the Crew
Scar's P.O.V
Scar sat with Melissa in his lap, a scowl evident on his face. Out of all days to have one of these crew parties, Kai chooses to have it when him and Melissa were just about to part take in their hot, sweaty make-up sex. They just got over a fight, and he hasn't fucked her in a week.
“Fucking bastard probably did it on purpose.” He thought angrily before shooting a glare across to his brother, who ignored his heated glares, his expression remaining emotionless.
“Scar, will you stop pouting.” Melissa chuckled softy knowing that her mate desperately wanted to finish what they started before Stefan called telling them that Kai wanted to go out tonight to celebrate his mate's birthday, even though they were planning to have a house party for her on Saturday.
Kai growled. “I do not pout, woman. I just don't wanna be here that's all.” he grumbled under his breath. It was bad enough that school was starting back tomorrow and he knew, just KNEW, that once they got home Melissa will just want to go to sleep. And yet, once again, leaving him pussyless for the night.
Stefan walked over with his mate Kara, who pulled Melissa off Kai's lap and over to the dance floor. Stefan handed Kai a beer before joining him on the couch. It wasn't long before Shawn, Nas, Ray and Python joined them as well. None of them were permanently mated yet, although they knew who their mates were. Kai, Scar and Stefan were the only ones that took that final step into demonic marriage-hood. They all had one more year left of high school until graduation. The only reason they were attending in the first place was to be closer to their mates, except Kai, of course, who the humans believe is currently attending “college”.
There was no need for them to hide their identities in this town. Since everyone knew who was a demon and who wasn't. However, no one knew that they ran a world-wide demonic assassination organization, or that Kai was the demon lord of the western lands, and was slowly taking over the other lands as well. Demons knew of course, and no one dared to step out of line because of it. Even Scar knew that his brother was one to be feared.
Humans and Demons crowded the lounge, some dancing and drinking at the bar, while others sat around or played pool. It was the usual crowd; they made it their job to know all the inhabitants of this town, from the humans and demons to the few hell spawns who took up residence a couple years back, hell some of them were even a part of the crew now. However, Scar's eyes caught sight of two figures that were standing in the back of the room, trying their best to blend in with the wall, clearly not wanting to attract any unwanted attention. From where he stood, the two appeared to be demons since their features were too unique to be human. Scar tried to focus on their scents but couldn't pick anything up.
“Must be cause of all the people in the room.” He thought while allowing his skillfully trained eyes to analyze the two men. They were both about the same height around 6'2 with a lean build. They weren't as big as Shawn, not many people were, but they were far more muscular then both Stefan and even Kai, Scar himself was included in that list but there was no way in hell he was going to admit that out loud.
The first one had wild spiky, snowy white hair, pointing in different directions and pale blue eyes that looked like ice, almost glowing in the dimly lit room. His skin was pale and held no visible markings indicating his demonic nature aside from his fangs, which did not overlap onto his lips but were clearly sharp and pointed from where Scar stood. His teeth were whiter than most demons, allowing his grin to appear all the more sinister as he gazed around the room. What little light was left in the room reflected off his many piercings and his eyes were shining with amusement. He was dressed casually, faded blue jeans, black boots and a white vest under his black leather jacket that was left hanging open, allowing his muscles to be visible through the thin fabric.
The other man was also dressed similarly, although his jeans were darker and he wore a plain red t-shirt under his black leather jacket. Unlike his companion, this guy had a bored expression on his face that can very well rival Kai's. His crimson red hair was also spiky but far more tamed then the guy next to him and not as long, causing it to fall in his face. His eyes were a dark ocean blue color, the exact opposite of his friend, and he had fewer pricings as well. The two were leaning against the wall, mirroring each other with their hands in their pockets, eyes scanning the room for nothing in particular.
“Scar!” Stefan yelled while snapping his fingers in front of his best friend's face. “Dude, are you fucking deaf? It's not that loud in here and I called your name like 20 times already. What are you looking at, cause if it's a girl then Melissa's gonna eat your balls for breakfast and not in a pleasurable way either.” Stefan said teasingly while turning his head to see what his friend was so interested in.
Scar rolled his eyes at Stefan's antics before nodding his head in the direction of the two figures. “You ever see those two before?” Stefan turned and spotted the two guys Scar was talking about. He quickly gave them a once over before answering.
“Nope, they must be new in town.” Stefan declared turning back to Scar.
“Exactly,” he evenly replied while still looking at the two men. “If you're telling me that they're new in town and we're now finding out then someone is about to get fired.” Stefan nodded in understanding before getting up and making his way over to Nas.
“Nas, please explain your job description to me,” Stefan asked, his tone holding no room for discussion. Nas, clearly confused by the question, replied after taking note of the glare he was now receiving to just answer the fucking question.
“Umm… internal and external surveillance, communication and main base data keeper,” the fox demon slowly replied while staring confused at his superior and oldest friend.
“So explain to me why I don't have a clue who the fuck those two are?” Stefan asked calmly while turning him to face the direction of the two strangers. Nas gazed at the two, his own confusion showing on his face.
“I ran through the data base before coming here, no one has so much as passed through this town in over 2 days, I'm sure of it,” he stated before turning on Stefan, his expression serious. “They must have slipped past our system”.
“How often does that happen?” Stefan questioned.
“Not very”, Nas said evenly, him and Stefan both glancing back at the two figures that remain ignorant to all the attention they seem to be receiving.
Chase and Kel's P.O.V
“Dude, they're totally eye-raping us right now, should I strike a pose?” Chase asked shooting his brother a wolfish grin. The corner of Kel's mouth slightly twitched as he tried to contain his smile.
For once, he actually agreed with his brother. Upon walking into the building, it wasn't long before they gained the attention of Kai's little gang. The half-breed, most likely his brother due to the resemblance, was the first to notice since Boss Man disappeared behind the V.I.P curtain shortly after their arrival. Both Kel and Chase pretended to keep their attention elsewhere as to not give themselves away to the half-demon, who gazed intensely at them for quite some time before another demon drew his attention.
The brothers' demonic senses were by far more superior then that of these tainted creatures. They were able to clearly hear the conversation that took place between the demons about the new guys in town. It was actually quite amusing how confused they were, causing both brothers to smirk. Not only were they able to hear every conversation in the room, but the thoughts of every human and demon as well.
“I think the half-demon likes me”. Chase thought to his brother, not wanting to risk being overheard. “I mean, I know I'm pretty but damn I'm beginning to feel violated!” he said in a mock outraged tone, all the while allowing his eyes to scan the crowd, smirk firmly in place.
“You think they'll approach us?” Kel asked ignoring Chase's arrogance.
“Why, you want his number? Cause I saw him first you know.” He replied receiving a kick in the shin from his brother. “OW!” he shouted in Kel's mind, trying to keep the irritation off his face. “BITCH!”
“Dick.” Kel dryly retorted before turning his gaze to the dance floor.
Chase gave each member of Kai's little gang the once over without appearing too obvious.
“Keh, look at these guys. We're more demon then them yet we're the only normal-looking sons of bitches in this place.” Chase scoffed. “I mean…look at snake boy over there…” Chase thought gesturing over to Python, “What snake do you know actually looks like that? Where the fuck are his pupils? He looks like he has an eye infection that never healed. And that dude has a bushy tail...I mean C'mon! ”
Kel ignored to his brother's rant, paying more attention to the demons looking over at them. “We should go”.
“Why? I was just about to dance”, Kel smirked in the direction of the raven haired girl shaking her ass on the dance floor, his head tilting to the side to get a better view of her bouncing ass.
“And there's my dinner.” He shot to his brother before taking a step in the direction of the girl on the dance floor. However, before he could continue to advance behind the girl both brothers heard a loud, well at least to them it was, “Oh, Fuck no!” from a very angry half-demon on the far side of the room.
Kel noticed that it didn't take long for the half demon to place himself directly between Chase and the raven haired girl before he could reach her. However, Chase was not fazed by neither the half-demon's speed or sudden appearance, which means he was doing this on purpose.
“Idiot,” Kel hissed under his breath. Kel remained where he was on the wall, watching the rest of their little gang appear behind the half-demon, offering silent backup if something unexpected were to happen. Kel's smirk was arrogant, which was a rare look on his handsome face. He would never offer his brother backup unless he asked for it, which was also rare. Whenever Chase, Kel or Craven stood in a one on one fight, although they will physically stand beside each other, it is not for assistance but rather to get a better view. They always stand alone in such battles because there is no honor in numbers, a value these abominations clearly did not share. The only battles that require numbers are wars, which this certainly was not.
The Half-Demon glared at Chase, who was slightly taller than him. “Were you about to touch my Bitch?” the half-demon asked his voice coming out in a low growl.
Chase plastered on his most dazzling smile before replying to the challenge. “That depends, which bitch is yours?”
At this point the music had faded away and an audible gasp was heard from the onlookers throughout the room. Kel resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “You would think he was asking who God was rather then which girl was his,” Kel thought sarcastically.
It would seem that Chase thought something along the same lines when he raised an amused eye brow at the reactions his question received. It was then that the raven haired girl decided to speak.
“Scar, what's going on?” she asked softly, grabbing his arm.
Chased smirked down at the girl. “Oh, that bitch.” He replied smugly. The half-demon, Scar, growled as his eyes began to flash red. Kel shifted his glance to the above platform, where he noticed Kai staring intently at him.
“Fuck…we can't approach them, we don't have a full grasp on the situation or solution yet. We'll just end up exposing ourselves and pissing Craven off for jumping the gun,” he thought to himself before tapping into his brother's mind. “That's enough Chase; you've had your fun, stop.” Kel firmly replied.
Scar grabbed the collar of Chase's leather jacket, about to take a swing when Chase threw up his hands in mock surrender, still grinning like a fool.
“No offense to your girl, dude, but I wasn't looking at her.” He replied. Chase knew that these demons wouldn't be able to sense or smell anything from them. Right now their aura's came off as weak and inferior, which is what they wanted these guys to believe. They had the situation under their complete control.
Scar glared his now red eyes at Chase. “Is that right? Then where were you looking?” he asked calmly, his voice taking on darker, if not challenging, tone.
“At her,” Chase said nodding at the young blonde girl standing near Melissa. The girl was dressed revealingly, her shirt and skirt clearly not enough to cover certain voluptuous body parts. Chased winked at the blonde for show, causing her to blush a deep shade of red.
Kel shook his head, knowing full well that the poor girl just unknowingly signed her name on his brother's dinner menu, and maybe even breakfast if she lives that long.
Scar continued to glare at Chase. “C'mon, Scar. Let him go. He didn't even touch me.” Melissa replied softly pulling at his sleeve. Scar slowly released Chase's collar but made no move to leave. The music slowly came back on as Kel glanced back up onto the platform to see Kai walk back over to his mate, having lost interest in his brother's little bar fight. Kel searched his mind for traces of suspicion but found none. He thought that they were no more than two demons looking for a fight.
Scar eventually turned away from Chase, Melissa tugging him along, who surprisingly shot Chase an apologetic look before walking away.
Chase walked back over to his brother. “Well, that was entertaining,” he said lightly chuckling.
Kel snorted. “Yes, and it will be even more interesting when all the demons you just pissed off meet the new students at their school tomorrow,” Kel replied dryly. This made Chase's smile widen.
“Kel, you worry too much. What the fuck can these little puss-holes do to us? We're gonna handle this balance shit and be back home before you know it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a hot little blonde waiting for me and I haven't fed yet,” Chase said slapping his brother on the back and grinning at the blonde who was waiting patiently for him.
Kel let out a sigh. “Fine, I have to go hunting as well. I'll see you back at the house.” Kel turned to walk away before Chase yanked him back.
“You know, I'm always willing to share little brother. Besides, that…” Chase pointed to be blonde. “Is way better then you frolicking through the forest chasing little woodland creatures,” Chase insisted trying to persuade his brother to eat with him.
“That's very gracious of you, brother. But I think I'll pass,” Kel replied evenly, refusing to take the bait and allow himself to once again be provoked. Chase smiled a genuine smile; one reserved for his brothers only, “I tried. Meet you back in an hour?” Kel nodded before walking out the door.
After watching his brother leave, Chase turned his attention back to the dance floor in time to see the blonde girl dancing suggestively for him. He smirked, licking his lips in anticipation, before approaching the girl from behind. He moved his hips against her ass, grinding into her to match the beat of the song. After 10 minutes of dancing, Chase turned the girl around catching her gaze with his hypnotic one. She became lost in his pale blue eyes.
“You're going to come with me and do as I say,” He said smoothly, compelling her. The girl nodded a smile on her pretty face. Chase grabbed her hand and walked out of the club, completely unnoticed by those around him.
