“Have you lost your fucking mind?” Kel asked his brother incredulously.
“I don't hear you coming up with any bright ideas, Kel. If you have a better suggestion then I'm all fucking ears,” Chase retorted while slumping down in the recliner in Ace's living room.
After leaving the girls in the house, the brothers decided to drop in on Ace and his younger brother, Tage, to figure everything out. However, the demons were finding it difficult to come to a consensus.
“And you honestly believe that telling Sage and Mia the truth will help our situation?” Kel replied arching an eyebrow skeptically.
“It might,” Chase continued, “Maybe if they knew the truth it would scare them enough to keep their mouths shut. Then when this is all over we'll call Craven and figure out what to do with them.”
“I agree with Chase.” Tage piped in, receiving an icy glare from Kel.
“Dude, shut up,” Ace hissed at his brother.
Tage rolled his eyes before continuing. “Look, I get that you guys are pissed that we're living in this realm, but when we first got here the demons already knew about hell spawns. Others have passed through this world years ago, so this balance shift nonsense happened long before we rolled into town. So don't blame us just because you and yours are late on the up-take.” He finished confidently.
Before Kel could advance on Tage to deliver the same beating to him that his brother had received earlier, Ace stepped in between them.
“He's just a kid, Kel. Don't mind him,” Ace defended standing in front of his brother.
“The kid's right.” Chase admitted. “The damage in this world was done a long time ago, we're gonna have some serious clean up duty on our hands.”
“You said that a large part of the shift has to do with Kai's crew,” Ace said. “I can understand that. Scar and the others are like gods in this world, everyone knows who they are and Kai is very close to taking over the other demon territories—”
“We don't care about that,” Kel interrupted. “He's free to do whatever the fuck he wants with his own kind. It's their involvement with the humans that are causing the problem.”
“The humans in this realm know far too much for their own good. Many humans have even turned into demons by mating with one. This world was meant to be a human realm, but we allowed the demons to stay here as long as they masked their identity, which is something they have failed to do.” Chase said.
“And in doing so they are corrupting a world which was not made to be strong enough to withstand such a corruption,” Kel continued.
“So what are you guys going to do?” Tage asked curiously.
“It's going to take time, but we've decided to separate the demons from this world, leaving only the humans behind. We will alter the memoires of all the humans in this world, making them forget the existence of such creatures. The existence of demons will become nothing more then myths and legends.” Kel explained.
“What about the demons who have taken a human as their mate?” Ace asked nervously.
“Since those humans are bound to the demon they are mated to, they practically have demon blood coursing through their veins, and therefore will go with the other demons as well.” Chase confirmed.
“So you're just going to rip them from the only world they've ever known and throw them into a new one?” Tage said disbelievingly.
“That's the general idea, yeah.” Chase replied causally.
“Isn't that kind of…harsh?” Tage asked.
“No…harsh would be killing them all.” Kel replied evenly.
“Good point…” Ace added.
“When this is all over, you two will return to your world as well, understood?” Kel ordered.
Ace and Tage shared a look. “We can take our mates, right?” Ace asked.
Chase arched an eyebrow in surprise. “You two have mates?”
“It's the reason why we're living in this world…for them,” Tage replied bashfully.
“Awww...did you hear that Kel? The morons are in love,” Chase said holding his chest and sighing dramatically.
“Yes, you can take them. Any human who chooses to become the mate of a demon will renounce their rights as a human and accept those of a demon,” Kel stated.
“Well…we're fine with it, but Kai and the others won't go quietly.” Tage pointed out.
“They will have a choice…to go willingly or be forced out—” Kel said.
“Or killed,” Chase added.
Ace and Tage both nodded in understanding. “So your powers are fucked up, huh?” Tage said bluntly, earning a slap upside his head from Ace and a glare from the two demons.
“Speaking of which…” Chase said turning to Kel, “Any ideas on that?”
Kel shook his head. “If we already know the solution to the mission, then I don't want to get Craven involved. We'll cross that bridge once we burn this one.”
“So what, just keep them hostage until then?” Chase asked dryly.
“Well, it was your idea. And if we tell them the truth, like you suggested, they won't be able to stay in this world since we can't erase their memoires like the others,” Kel shot back.
“Well, Mia is a demon so she has no choice but to leave with the others, and Sage…well witches know too much about the supernatural anyways so she's gotta go too.” Chase said.
“True, but no one is supposed to know about us, and they saw with their own eyes what we really are, which is something we can't make them forget. These fools may have given away their identities to the world, but as far as anyone is concerned, we don't exist…until now.” Kel replied.
Chase went silent, contemplating a solution when he caught the strange looks the two hell spawns were now shooting him and his brother.
“What?” he growled at them.
“How long have you known these girls?” Tage asked suspiciously glancing between the two brothers.
“A few days, why?” Kel replied
“Well, it's just that you barely know these girls and you're both bending over backwards to think of a way to avoid killing them which, to be honest, seems like the obvious solution…yet you two haven't even considered that as an option,” Tage noted.
“What are you getting at, runt?” Chased hissed.
“I think what Tage means is…if it were anyone else you would have killed them already yet these two girls are still breathing. Besides, I thought you two hated witches and tainted demons?” Ace piped in.
“You know what I'm about to consider…killing the two of you,” Kel replied coldly.
“And you said that your powers only don't seem to work on them…maybe something else is going on here,” Ace continued, ignoring Kel's threat.
“Such as?” Chase said tapping his foot impatiently.
Ace and Tage smiled at each other before turning towards the brothers again.
“Dunno,” Tage said shrugging his shoulders, “Keep them around and find out. If they're the only beings in creation, aside from your family, who are immune to your powers, then finding out why and what else they're immune to should be at the top of your “to do” list.”
The very thought of Sage and Mia being immune to more of their powers made a growl slip from both Chase and Kel's throats. As much as they hated to admit it, the hell spawns were right. A person being immune to their powers was just something that did not happen, and if it did there had better be a damn good explanation behind it.
“Fine, since you two are here you might as well be useful,” Chase said. “Keep an eye on Inuyasha and the others while we deal with this. Keep us informed and get me a list of every area in this realm that is under their influence. That should make our clean up duty easier.”
Ace and Tage nodded in understanding. After everything was discussed, Chase and Kel teleported back home to check on their new roommates.

“What the fuck…” Chase said shockingly as his eyes scanned the damage in the house.
Both brothers teleported back home only to find it trashed in every possible way. The floors and carpet were wet and the walls were burnt as if someone took a blow torch to it.
Chase walked into the living room just in time to dodge the ice covered lamp that flew towards his face.
“Let us out of here you fucking bastards!” Sage yelled throwing a ball of fire towards both brothers. As they dodged it, Mia took the opportunity to jump down from the ledge she was hanging from on the wall and latch onto Kel's back.
“What the hell is your problem?” Kel asked appearing to be unfazed by the demon now trying to claw at him from behind.
“You're my problem!” Mia yelled as she brought her fangs down onto his neck while attempting to strangle him.
Chase couldn't help but burst out with laughter at the scene in front of him…his badass little brother trying to detach the little female demon from his back. His laughter, however, came to an abrupt halt when a ball of ice smashed into the side of his face.
“Fuck, that's it…C'mere bitch.” Chase said as he stalked towards Sage.
Sage released a scream before tuning and dashing out of the living room. Chase followed her into the kitchen as she ran behind the table. They both stood on opposite ends of the square surface, scowling at each other.
“You know, you're only making your situation a hell of a lot worse by being so damn difficult,” Chase said glowering at her.
“This situation can't get any worse,” She hissed back coldly.
Chase smirked menacingly. “That's where you're wrong, little witch.” He said before grabbing the table that separated them and dashing it into the wall. Before Sage could blink, he stepped forward and snatched her up, throwing her over his shoulder.
“Put me down, jerk!” she bellowed.
“Shut it.” Chase said slapping her ass roughly as he walked towards the stairs. “You and me are gonna have a nice, long conversation upstairs, where I'm gonna teach you some respect…”
“No…Mia!” She yelled as panic filled her voice.
“Oh, Mia is just fine…Kel will deal with her, don't worry.” He replied dryly, reaching the top of the stairs. Chase then walked to his bedroom and kicked the door open, making sure to put another barrier in place once they were inside.
He walked over to the bed with the witch still kicking and screaming, and threw her down roughly.
“Scream all you want, no one can hear you.” Chase said looking down at her with his arms crossed over his chest. Sage glared up at him knowing that he was right, after all, she and Mia had already tried screaming their lungs out earlier and their efforts only caused them a sore throat.
“So what…you're just gonna keep us here forever?” she retorted angrily.
“Of course not, that would raise too many questions,” Chase scoffed, “Both of you are going back to school on Monday. But first you're going to call your family and tell them you're staying with Mia for the weekend.” He ordered holding out the phone.
“The hell I am!” she snapped scowling at him. “I don't have to do a fucking thing you say.”
“That's fine,” Chase said with a shrug, “I'll just pay them a visit and kill them all in their sleep…no phone call necessary.”
Sage bit down hard on her bottom lip, not knowing what to do. “Fine…” she said reluctantly. Chase threw the phone onto the bed before giving her a serious look. “Don't try anything, or they'll be dead before you hear the dial tone,” he threatened.
Sage dialed her home number and waited for an answer.
“Mom…hey, can I stay over at Mia's for the weekend? We have a project to finish,” she asked wanting nothing more then to yell “Help” into the phone. She listened as her mother agreed, telling her not to stay up too late.
Like that's the least of my worries…” she thought looking up at Chase who grinned down at her.
“Yeah mom…I love you too,” she said praying that those wouldn't be the last words her mother ever heard her say.
“Don't worry, it won't be.” Chase said still smiling down at her after she hung up the phone.
Sage gazed at him dumbfounded. “How did you…did you just read my mind?”
“Yup,” He said smugly.
“What are you?” she said for the second time that day.
“A demon.” He replied plainly.
“My ass…you don't have an aura.” Sage said.
“Oh no… however will I go on?” He gasped mockingly.
“Fuck you! I'm not stupid. All demons have an aura, even hell spawns, yet you and Kel don't. So what the hell are you?” she asked again.
“A real demon.” He said briefly as he walked over to the widow, putting another barrier in place.
“What the hell does that mean?” she asked confused, watching as he chanted strange incantations under his breathe.
Chase sighed. “It's gonna be a long fucking night.” He thought wearily.
“Okay, listen up, because I'm only saying all this shit once.” He said before explaining the situation to her. He started from the beginning, telling her about true demons and the different realms. He then explained the mission to her and why she and Mia had to stay with them. When he was finished, it was clear to see how overwhelmed she was by all the information she was forced to take in.
“So, you're like…a god?” she asked after a moment of silence.
Chase smiled brightly. “A god eh…I like that.”
“And other demons are...” she paused.
“Tainted compared to us.” He filled in.
“So you're all-powerful then?” she continued to question.
“Pretty much, yeah.” He said.
“Then why don't your powers work on me and Mia?” she asked arching an eyebrow.
Chase growled at the reminder. “SOME of them don't work,” he said pouting slightly, “And we haven't figured that out yet, hence why you're still alive.”
“So your mission is to fix the balance…whatever. How are you going to do that?” she asked.
Chase had left out that little piece of information, knowing full well that she wouldn't handle the news of being thrown into a different world very well.
“Don't worry about that,” he replied, “But right now, you and your friend know who we are. So you now have two options.”
“Which are?” she asked nervously.
“We can keep you hostage here and kill anyone that goes snooping around,” he said watching the color drain from her face, “Or…you can cooperate and keep your mouths shut. If our existence is exposed then you can kiss your world goodbye.” He said evenly.
Sage hesitated before replying. “Okay…I won't say anything,” she agreed.
“Good...” he said before walking over to the closet and throwing an over sized t-shirt at her. “You can change into that.”
“Wait…if I promised not to say anything, then why can't I go home?” she asked rising up on the bed.
“Bitch, are you deaf? What part of you're immune to our powers don't you understand? We need to test you to see what else you're immune to before we let you go.” He said becoming irritated.
“Are you going to hurt us…?” she asked softly, her eyes gazing into his.
Chase looked at her for a moment before replying, “No.” he said. Sage didn't look like she believed him but nodded none the less.
“Get some sleep,” Chase said before turning to leave.
“Wait!” Sage called out, “Isn't this your room…where will you sleep?”
“I don't sleep,” he replied before leaving the room and closing the door behind him.
Chase walked down the stairs to find Kel leaning against the railing.
“How'd it go?” Chase asked.
“Better then I thought,” Kel replied, “She's sleeping. We should start testing our powers on them tomorrow.”
“Yeah, that should be fun,” Chase said sarcastically rolling his eyes, “They're gonna make this so much more difficult for us.”
“Be that as it may, we need to know. If they're immune to more of our powers…we might have to get Craven up here.” Kel said
“Fuck…”Chase said dejectedly.
“C'mon, let's go hunting.” Kel said.
“You gonna eat a human tonight?” Chase said with a grin, already knowing the answer.
Kel merely shook his head before vanishing from the room, his brother close behind.

Sage's P.O.V

Sage lay in bed, tossing and turning throughout the night. Finally giving up on sleep, she rolled out of bed. The t-shirt she wore reached about mid-thigh and she only wore her bra and panties underneath since Chase didn't give her any pants.
She walked over to the window, not bothering to touch it since she saw Chase put up a barrier around it earlier. She gazed out at the dark night sky, the full moon shining brightly. She didn't know what to make of any of this…
She liked Chase, even though he was a complete ass to her, she still really liked him. She didn't understand why, but for some reason she felt like she was drawn to him. Even now, knowing what he was, she still wanted to get closer to him.
Sage ran her hand through her light brown locks before releasing a shaky breathe.
I need to get a grip…”she thought to herself.
Suddenly, she jumped as she felt strong arms snake around her waist, pulling her back into a hard chest. Before she could look back to see who it was, soft lips brushed against her ear.
“You want me, don't you?” a deep voice whispered sending shivers down her spine. She knew that voice …it was Chase. His grip around her waist tightened as he drew her earlobe into his hot mouth, gnawing on it gently. She wanted to turn around and demand to know what the hell he thought he was doing, but her body betrayed her brain as she felt herself lean into his touch.
“Chase…what are you—”
Chase suddenly turned her around and pushed her up against the wall, quickly closing the distance between them. He leaned his head down towards hers, their lips almost touching as his pale blue gaze locked with her green ones. His heated gaze rendered her speechless. His eyes were filled with lust and…hunger?
Sage knew that this was wrong. She didn't know anything about the man in front of her, and she clearly was not thinking straight. Before she could push him away, his lips crushed down onto hers, silencing any protest she was about to make.
She gasped into the kiss, allowing his tongue entrance into her mouth. Her eyes were wide as his tongue skillfully caressed hers, dominating the kiss in every possible way. Her eyes slowly drifted closed as he deepened the kiss, his hand tangling itself in her curly hair. Sage moaned into his mouth, her body melting against his. She had never in her life experienced such a slow and passionate kiss before…it was amazing.
Chase suddenly growled before sliding his hands down to her ass, squeezing it roughly before hiking her up around his waist, her legs instantly wrapping around him. He continued to kiss her as he walked over to the bed, sitting down with her straddling his lap.
He finally pulled away from the kiss, making her whimper from the loss of his lips. He grinned at her before sliding his hand up her shirt, his eyes never leaving hers as he roughly ripped the bra from her body, his hand latching onto her breast. Sage bit down on her lip to keep herself from moaning as he rolled her nipple between his fingers. She suddenly felt his other hand making its way up her thigh, his claws grazing her skin and making her shiver. As his hand reached her panties, he lightly ran his claws down her centre teasingly.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asked in a husky voice.
Sage shook her head, unable to find her voice. Chase then pushed her panties aside and rubbed his fingers against her clit.
“Oh, god…” she moaned digging her nails into his shoulder. Chase's mouth found her neck and began sucking on it as he slipped a finger inside of her. Sage threw her head back, moaning loudly as she rocked against his hand.
Chase chuckled against her neck. “You really want it bad, don't you?” he asked while adding a second finger and pumping it in and out.
Sage was lost in ecstasy when she felt his fangs graze her throat. “Sage?” he asked his voice deepening.
“Yeah…” she replied panting.
“I'm hungry.” He said looking up at her.
Sage instantly snapped out of her daze when she saw pitch black eyes staring back at her with red and purple veins appearing from under his skin. He grinned wickedly at her, his fangs glisten in the moonlight before leaping forward and sinking into her neck.

Sage screamed, shooting up from the bed covered in cold sweat. Her eyes frantically searched the darkened room as her heart pounded in her chest. .
“It was just a dream…just a dream…” she thought reassuringly to herself. However, she couldn't resist the urge to touch her neck, her fingers gliding over her flawlessly smooth skin instead of vicious bite marks. She fell back onto the bed, trying to calm her breathing. “It felt so real…”
She then rolled out of bed and walked over to the bathroom that was in the room. Switching on the lights, she walked over to the sink and turned on the cold water, slashing her face repeatedly. She took another calming breathe before turning off the water and looking back up into the mirror, only to find Chase standing behind her.
Sage screamed before turning around to face him.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!?” she yelled holding her chest. “Blow a fucking trumpet when you come into a room!”
“Sure, I'll go pick one up tomorrow,” he replied rolling his eyes. “I heard you scream and came to see if you were alright. Excuse the fuck outta me for being nice.” He said glaring at her.
“Oh…well I'm fine. Thanks…” she said blushing lightly. After her dream, she just couldn't bring herself to look him in the eye.
“Bad dream?” he asked, a grin twitching up the corners on his handsome face.
Sage looked at him suspiciously. She knew that he could read minds and tried her hardest not to give away any details from her dream by thinking about it.
“Yeah, but I'm fine now,” she said squeezing past him and walking back to bed.
“You can go now…goodnight.” She threw over her shoulder before climbing back into bed.
“Goodnight.” Chase said smirking to himself before vanishing from the room.

Chase's P.O.V

“Kel.” Chase thought to his brother.
“Yeah?” Kel replied.
“We can enter their dreams.” Chase confirmed.
“Check that one off the list…” Kel shot back.
