Chapter Eleven: I'll Save You

 

Things finally cooled down, Mia trains herself to become stronger before she set out to find Shuji. Her only goal right now it just to find him and save him from Kane's clutches, as everyone went about their own business. Kentaro, who spend his time away more frequent than before and no one, knows where he went to. His only excuse was hospital call or going out with some friends, he didn't ever mentions anything about going to where Kane is to help treats Alex, and Shuji did have an earful from Kane for knocking the poor girl out for so long.

"Ow... I'm dead... so is this supposed to be Heaven or Hell?" Alex opens her eyes and quickly sat up looking around the white room. Everything is just in one color, white even the flowers and vase are white too. "Ugh... bells... ringing..." she brings her hands up and covers her ears. Then the door clicks open, standing there was Shuji and Kane, a beautiful lady stands right besides him.

"Milady, she seems to be awake at last..." "You..." Alex throws off the cover and gets off the bed. "Ugh..." but her knees give out from under her and she slouch down on the floor. “Do you know how long you've been out?" Kentaro's voice echoes in the hallway just outside the room. "So... I'm not dead yet..." she looks up at the white ceiling and let out a heavy sigh. "You don't seem to be too happy to be alive," Kentaro makes his way into the room with the other two still standing by the doorway. "I would be happy if I didn't feel my ribs cracked on me every now and then and being smacked by one of you people every now and then too..." she reaches up and feels the scar that will never fade on her face.

"Leave her be, go prepare a hot meal." Kane says softly. "Yes... yes..." Kentaro and Shuji left the room, leaving Kane behind with Alex. "What do you want?" Alex asks not even looking up at her captor. Kane locks the door and turns to look at Alex, who leans back on her hands and looking at the ceiling. "Do you not afraid of my power?" she asks with a little English accent. "If I am to be afraid of anyone who is stronger than I am, wouldn't it make me anything but a kisser-up?" Alex asks still not looking. "You never change about that..." Kane giggles softly.

"There are times that I am terrified by your uses of power, but it doesn't mean that I'll quietly let you abuse your power on my friends." Alex says coldly. Walking as fast as she can in her purely white kimono, Kane kneels down between Alex's legs and grabs Alex's face with both hands. She leans over and gives Alex a long kiss, forcing her tongue into Alex's mouth and teases against hers. Alex was surprises and feels overpowered by this woman, and she tries to pushes Kane away with one hand while keep herself supports with her other hand from falling on the floor on her back.

Kane finally pulls away after a few minutes being forceful on Alex; under the room's lights her cheeks shine a deep red color spreading itself slowly. "What the HELL was that about?!" Alex glares at Kane. "Darling, it's been so long..." Kane leans herself against Alex resting her head on Alex's left shoulder. Kane puts her left hand on Alex's chest smiles happily listening Alex's heart beats.

Okay... let me get this straight..." Alex says as she and Kane walks down the well-worn road in the park. "You didn't kill me because I looked like your dead lover from ages ago," Alex walks slowly due to her health is yet to be completely recovered. Kane walks next to her wearing cherry blossom pattern summer kimono and Alex in her white cargo pants and white t-shirt. "But you are him..." Kane speaks softly. "How can I be him?! I'm a girl for crying out loud!" Alex argues. "But your soul is him," she grabs Alex's right arm and cling onto it.

"Hey... isn't that Alex?" Amber tugs Alez's shirt lightly as they too take a stroll in the park. "You're just seeing things, Alex..." he pauses didn't want to say it. “She's what?" Amber insists. "She's probably dead already, so there's no way that's her up there." Alez finally says it, and he feels better about it too. "I might not know her that well, but I'm sure that's her. There's no mistaken about it," Amber points ahead in front of her where a couple is walking and chatting.

"Okay whatever then, but why didn't you let Shuji-san go home?" Alex sighs. "They all view me as an evil head family, might as well let them think so. This is also a chance for Mia to realize that he means more than anything in this world to her, and I'm sure she will do anything to get him back." Kane explains still clinging on to Alex's arm. "So you're testing to make sure she's good enough for Shuji-san?" Alex seems to understand her motive a little bit. "Another question, with all those kids that you have. How did you still look so young and alive?" "My love for you..." Kane giggles. "Sorry I asked..." Alex rolls her eyes.

"Alex..." Amber calls to the couple. "No... Wait..." Alez tries to stop Amber, but she already takes off. "I have a bad feeling about this..." Alez murmurs to himself and chases after his fiancée. "Alex..." Amber runs up and stops the couple and happily hugs the one in white t-shirt.

"Nani?" the stranger blinks almost breathless from the hugs. "Where have you been? Did you know how worry everyone was over you?" Alez asks, catches up and already going at it at the stranger. "I beg your pardon?" the stranger says in a thick Scottish accent. "Who are you laddy and lad?" the stranger asks coolly. "Alex, it's me, Amber and that's my fiancé, Alez." Amber reaches out and touches the stranger's face tracing her fingers gently along the scar.

"Look me dunt know how ye know me name, but me dunt know who ye are. Me just come here to see me friend," the stranger says calmly showing almost no signs of anger. "Yes, she used to go to school over here. It's been quite a while since we last get to walk in the summer heat like this," the other lady explains with a little English accent in her voice.

"We're... sorry..." Amber sounds disappointed. They apologize and went their way back to the main house, while the strangers sigh, a sign of relief. "That was close one..." Alex says sitting down on the bench in the park. "I'm sure you'll be a hot Scottish girl..." Kane sits down next to her giggling. "How come Alez didn't notice you?" Alex suddenly realizes that. "He never saw my face like this in his entire life before, not many people in the house knows what I looked like. Most would saw me as an old woman that's still powerful enough to remain in her reign of power after so many centuries," Kane rest her head on Alex's shoulder.

"What do I get out of this whole stupid mess you people dragged me into anyway?" Alex sighs quietly. "Half of the Ureshima's fortune," Kane says seriously. "No thanks," Alex says. "Then what would you like?" "Go back home, back to my old job working on computers and helping stacking books." Alex says plainly.

Mia finally think she's strong enough and comes back to the same house that Alex disappears from her sight with Shuji. There Shuji awaits her arrival, and they fight until both shed blood on the wooden floor. "I... won't lose..." Mia says breathlessly kneeling on one knee. "Then you shall die..." Kane says from the dark corner of the room. Standing there in front of Mia, Shuji's right arm is dripping with blood one drop at a time hitting the floor gently. "I can't lose... I will take Shuji back even if it cost me my life! I can't lose him; Alex was what I regret the most... I can't lose him too..." a single red tear escape Mia's left eye. She gets on her feet and utilizing her every effort to tries and brings Shuji off of Kane's mind-control.

"Enough!" someone's shouts an order. Both Shuji and Mia stop before they come in contact with each other, and stepping out from the darkness is a mysterious person in white suit and tie wearing a mask with black stripes making it looks somewhat like a devil without fangs. "You have proven to be the perfect match for Shuji, so I shall release him from the binding control. Take him home and treats his wounds," the mysterious figure says in a low husky voice. Momentarily, Shuji falls down on the floor and go limp Mia thanks the figure and takes Shuji home.

"Everything settles then?" the figure asks, taking off the mask Alex turns to face Kane getting up from the chair in the dark. "He's happy to know that he's the only one in her heart," Kane walks up to Alex smiling softly. "You got to teach me how to communicate using inner talk..." Alex laughs as they walk outside. "You have to learn how to uses your power first," Kane laughs lightly walking besides Alex. "Hmm... I'll think about it," Alex says thoughtfully.

"Mm..." Shuji moves slightly a little and Mia already by his side. "Shuji? Did she treat you badly? Did she torture you? Where does it hurt?" Mia runs him over with all these questions. "I love you..." he pulls her into his arms and hugs her tightly. “I love you too..." she hugs him back tightly and cries softly on his shoulder. "We'll make better of this family, then maybe having our own little family too..." Shuji whispers rubbing Mia's back. "Yeah..." Mia snuggles her face against his chest.

"I swear it was Alex," Amber shakes her head lightly at the thought of it. "But that lady said that she's not," Alez raises his voice a bit feeling a slight of jealousy that Amber still thinks about Alex. "It's impossible for her to be alive, not against Kane-sama..." Kentaro joins in as he walks by holding vase of flowers into the big room.

Everyone is getting ready for the wedding; Shuji and Mia are getting married. It has been many months since Mia got Shuji back, things are going back to normal and no one objects on Alez marrying Amber or about Shuji is now fully is the head family now. They're now all busy getting ready for the big wedding for the new head family, Ryo and Ritsu also learned that it is useless for them to push their luck against Yuki. She and Ken make up and back together again, the kids also happy about it and just a little sad that Alex didn't make it.

The wedding is a traditional one, everyone in kimono even the bride and groom. "We're missing two people..." Shuji looks around the crowded house. "We do?" Mia looks over at him. "Yes, can't start the ceremony without them..." he sounds worried. Just then the sounds of a car pull up outside, Shuji rushes outside along with Kentaro by his side leaving Mia there in confuses.

"Ojou-sama..." both men bow as the car stops. The door opens and stepping out of the driver's side is a young lad in white suit and tie, slowly walking over the other side and opens the door. "Sorry for coming late," the lady steps out of the car dressing in Sakura's blossom pattern with a face as pretty as the flower itself. "It is an honor to have you come," Shuji says still bowing. "You don't have to be so formal Shuji-kun," she smiles reaching out to touches his hand.

"It's only a few months, but you've recovered amazingly..." the one in the white suit smiles at Shuji when he looks up. “You have recovered much yourself," he laughs shaking her hand. "Nothing is too hard with the healing hand of the doctor," she smiles over at Kentaro and also shakes his hand. "Of course," he winks and then laughs warmly. "Let us proceed so that not to hold everyone up," the lady Shuji called ojousama to says sweetly. "Yes... yes..." the one in the white suit agree.

Why aren't Daisuke and Sakura here?" the young lady asks Shuji as soon as she enters the main room for the ceremony. "They said that have some business to take care, so they can't attend..." Shuji pauses. "They always do what they pleased," Kentaro sighs lightly. "Somehow I have a feeling that they're up to something..." the one in the white suit whispers to the lady. “You're getting sharp my dear," she giggles slightly.

The wedding goes as planned, and those who know Alex were confused with her presence with the young lady. The ceremony finally ends; Yuki, Ken, Alez, Amber, and the kids all come over to where Alex and the young lady are sitting on the steps talking to make sure it's Alex.

"Alex-san?" asks little Rin. "Yes?" the one in white suit turns and looks at Rin. "It's you, you're alive..." he jumps into her arms wrapping his arms around her neck. “Whoa... calm down little man, she's mad over there." Alex laughs pointing over at the little girl. Rin quickly let go and go back to her side, and together went off to play with other kids. "He's energetic as when I first saw him," the young lady giggles taking a sip of the red wine. "So hard to keep track on everyone," Alex says and the young lady rest her head on Alex's shoulder.

"Alex..." Yuki calls walking up to them with the others behind her. Just as she and the others were close enough, Kentaro are faster and made it to Alex before they could handing Alex a glass of red wine. "Why didn't you call when you're not dead yet?" Yuki sounds upset standing in front of Alex, Kentaro and the young lady. "She has been put to a training program by Kane-sama, so she hasn't steps outside until two days ago." Kentaro answers for Alex instead.

"Why did you lied to us when we met you yesterday?" Alez's face shows anger. "It was unnecessary that you saw us, because we like to keep it a secret until today. We wanted to surprises Mia," the young lady says coldly sending chill down everyone's spine. "This is none of your business," Alez says in a harsh tone at the young lady. "Do not make me hurt you," Kentaro stands up and grabs Alez's shirt baring his fangs. "Kentaro-kun..." the young lady sits up straight and says softly. Kentaro then straighten Alez's shirt and turns around bowing at the young lady, "I'm sorry for my behavior."

"I can defend myself, so don't get mad over little things." Alex says quietly. "Yes, you are after all... Kane-sama's left hand person." Kentaro laughs. "Yes... yes... and you're the right hand person," Alex chuckles. "But I rather am the doctor that I am, now if you excuse me." Kentaro bows slightly and left. They argue and bickering over things, but soon quiet down as the day comes to an end.
