Chapter 4
"It was around 50 years ago...
Sintia was dark and peaceful. Well...not exactly. It might've been, but someone had just stolen a very rare and valuable artifact known as the Maiden's Tear.
Kura ran down a dark back alley, chuckling at her success. She stopped running and pulled a pendant from her pocket.
'Aaah.' Kura said, examining her prize, 'The Maiden's Tear. Now, it's mine!'
The Maiden's Tear was a dark blue stone that sparkled in the moonlight. It was in an oval shape and hung on a silver chain. There was only one in the world...and Kura had just stolen it.
'Pity that I can't wear it in public.' she sighed and smiled, her dark crimson eyes glittering. 'Still, it was fun to steal!'
A sound behind her made Kura whip around. She saw nothing but the searchlights from the police, and heard nothing. Even the wind was silent tonight. Kura sniffed the air intently, trying to find the source of the disturbance. She found nothing. Kura shrugged and took off down the alley. She stopped at the entrance of the abandoned building and entered.
What Kura didn't notice was two shining light blue eyes glaring at the house from the darkness...
-------------------
Back at the museum, everything was in an uproar.
'How the hell did that thief get the Maiden's Tear?!' the chief of police 'calmly' asked one of the officers.
'I-I d-don't know exactly. I can't re-remember clearly...' he broke off when he saw the look on the chief's face. 'Urk... sh-she was in disguise and walked up to the front door. She put her palms on the door and in that second, dog-ears, and a tail materialized and her hair changed to short black hair with a red tint. Her palms glowed red and we all felt the heat. The door blew open and she ran inside and sealed the door with...it looked like magma.' He looked around at his companions as if to confirm his story. Everyone nodded and looked at the chief.
A flash of blue light appeared and it formed into a Demon. A Water Demon stood in front of the commander. The Demon had short gray horns, sharp teeth, a blue tail, and walked like a dog. It bowed the best it could.
'Hhh. Master Sakota, I found the Dog Demon just like you ordered me to. She has taken refuge in the old abandoned house.'
Mr. Sakota chuckled and thanked his Demon. "Kura. Your thieving days will soon be over."
---------------
Kura slowly climbed the steps of the abandoned house. The only sounds in the house were Kura's footsteps.
'Wow! That was way too easy!' Kura smirked. 'They must be losing their touch. Hehe.'
Kura yawned, her fangs showing, and walked over to the queen-sized bed. She plopped down and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillows...

"Is that all?" Kira asked, stifling a yawn.
Kura shook her head. The fire danced in the night, casting shadows on both the girls' faces.
"Well then? What's the rest?"
"Oi! Come on!" Kura threw her hands up in the air and sighed. "I'm tired. Besides, the other Demons might still be trying to find us. I'll tell you the rest in the morning."
Kura yawned and leaned back against the tree, her hands behind her head. Kira saw that she could not argue with her fiery friend. Kira sighed as well and lay down on the ground, her crimson eyes closed as she fell asleep.
----------
In another part of Sintia's Hell, a young girl was also leaning against a tree. She had short, dark red hair and silver eyes. She sat, polishing a bow.
The bow was finely crafted. It was smooth and a lightning bold ran down the length of the wooden part.
Finishing her task, the girl placed the bow aside, stretched, and stood up. She brushed the dirt and dust off of her tunic.
You can see a short-sleeved, dark green tunic with a long-sleeved white shirt beneath it. Her pants were a dark green as well and she wore dark brown boots.
You couldn't tell in the dark, but this girl had pale skin that made her silver eyes shine.
She could sense the newcomers. They had run into the forest as if something was chasing them. Sure enough, she felt the presence of a Water Demon. The Demon had stopped right at the edge of the forest and went back to it's Master. The girl smirked. The Demon knew if it had come in, it probably wouldn't have lived to see another day. She decided to have a look at the two intruders.
She bent down, picked up her bow and made sure her katana was securely on her waist, and her quiver was full on arrows. She ran through the forest, hardly making a sound.
'I won't let anyone intrude! I am the guardian of Sintia's Hell!' She smiled and increased her speed.
