Vacation
Clint waited in the car for Bunny. They were going on a little vacation today. The destination on this beautiful Saturday? Why, none other than the beach. Bunny wasn't too sure about that. Beach= water and swimming. Bunny couldn't swim at all. Clint doesn't know that at all. But yet, she wanted to keep her boyfriend happy. So, she kept her little problem a secret. That's going to be “fun.”
Clint looked in the rearview mirror at the front door. No one in sight still. The priest began to worry. The lunch was packed and so was the gear. He himself had been ready since morning. The only thing missing was the bunny.
Alas, she came out of the house. Clint smiled at how she looked. Bunny looked pretty in pink today. Her swimsuit made her look like a model. Two-piece suited her well. The pink sarong around her hips added to her shape. The pink sandals adorned her feet. The pink bag and towel added to her lovely charm. Clint smiled at his hot girl. Bunny waved at him cheerfully.
“Hey,” she called. “How do I look?” Clint smiled at her brightly.
“Beautiful, my princess!” he called to her. Bunny became overjoyed.
“Yay!” she called out. Then, the rabbit raced over to the car and climbed in. Clint smiled at her in pride.
“Ready to go then?” he asked.
“Yeah!” Bunny replied.
“Okay then,” the priest told her. “Let's go!” Then, he put the car in drive and the couple drove off to the beach.
The beach took two hours to get there. Bunny took in deep breaths the whole time. “It's okay,” she thought. “It's just a trip to the beach. Everything will be alright. Just keep calm.” Clint parked in a remote parking lot. Bunny turned to him slowly. The priest looked at her.
“Here we are,” he announced. Bunny looked around some. Okay, time to get it over with. She forced herself to smile.
“Great!” she called. “We're here!” Clint opened the car door and climbed out. He began pulling the beach gear out of the open trunk. Bunny took in another deep breath. Here goes nothing. She climbed out of the car and closed it behind her. Clint almost had everything out of the trunk.
“Need some help?” Bunny asked. The priest looked up at her.
“No, no,” he called. “I'm good!” Then, Clint dropped his beach bag on the ground. He looked down at his feet.
“Whoops!” he called. Bunny giggled at him sweetly.
“I'll get that!” she called.
“Thanks!” Clint called. “I appreciate it!” Bunny picked up the bag and held it in her other hand. The priest smiled at her.
“Okay then,” he said. “Let's go!” Bunny nodded at him once. Then, they exited the parking to the beach.
The walk turned out to be a short one. Pretty good so far. Bunny could survive the afternoon. Just as long as swimming wasn't involved…
The beach wasn't too crowded today. Just a few college students and an elderly couple at the moment. Ah, she could work well with this. Clint looked for the perfect spot for them both. He found one right away.
“Let's sit over there!” the priest called out pointing to the distance. Bunny looked up at where he was pointing. They would be a couple of feet from the ocean. Bunny breathed out some. Not too bad. Just not directly into the water though.
The spot was a nice one. The sun sat on them in a nice way. Bunny took in deep breaths through the whole walk. “Okay,” she thought. “Just keep a brave face and everything will be fine! You will be fine!” Clint set up shop right away. Bunny helped him do so. (He didn't want her to; but she insisted.) The results looked nice and neat. Bunny looked at their work impressed. She turned to her boyfriend.
“Now what?” the rabbit asked. Clint looked at her smiling.
“Just,” he replied. “Enjoy the day.” Bunny looked at him slightly surprised on that one.
“Really now?” she asked.
“Yeah,” Clint replied. Bunny nodded at that one.
“Okay,” she replied. “Will do!” Clint kissed her on the cheek. Bunny giggled at that one.
The day went safely so far. Bunny and Clint spent the day reading, relaxing, having lunch, and watching the clouds. Bunny became relaxed and really happy. “Maybe the beach isn't so bad after all!” she thought. But then, a huge problem came. Clint stood up from the towel. His girlfriend looked at him confused.
“Clint,” she said. “Where are you going?” The priest turned back to her.
“Just for a little swim,” he replied. “Want to come?” Bunny looked freaked out. Clint noticed her face.
“What's the matter?” he asked. Bunny looked away and swallowed hard. Here they were now. She had no choice but to tell the truth.
“Actually,” Bunny replied. “There is a problem: I can't swim. I scared to.” Bunny hung her head in shame. “You probably think it's stupid!” she blurted out. Clint came over and sat down in front of her. He turned her face to him lightly. Bunny stared at Clint in silence. He smiled at her.
“It's okay,” he said to her in a low voice. “We can just wade in the swallow part of the ocean. Don't worry, I will hold your hand and keep you close by me the whole time.” Bunny relaxed at his words. She took him by his other hand and kissed it.
“Thank you,” Bunny murmured. Clint kissed her on the nose. He helped her to her feet and led her over to the water. The couple just waded in it for the rest of the trip. Bunny really began warming up to the ocean. Maybe, the beach wasn't a bad thing after all. Just as long as swimming wasn't involved…
