Jason woke up with an immediate smile as soon as his eyes opened. He had an amazing dream that night, one he wish wouldn't have ended if only he hadn't woken up. It was one of those dreams that everything was perfect, none of your enemies are in it, none of your fears or dislikes, it was just Jason and Shane. Me and Shane. Jason laughed aloud at himself and through a pillow over his head. It was a funny thing, being in love, of course he'd never felt this way before. It made him feel as if he were insane, but in a good way. Like he wanted to dance everywhere he went and ignore the rest of the world, he even wanted to start talking to himself. Look in the mirror and tell himself what was his, the perfect guy, he felt like a love struck woman who'd finally found Mr. Right.
After a lot of thought and fantasizing he finally turned his head and looked at the clock, it was 10:45, time to get up. He hoped Shane was up too, he hoped Shane was awake and everyone else was asleep, or better yet, gone. They'd all went home so that Shane and Jason could live happily ever after, but real life seems to enjoy getting in the way of even small dreams.
“Shane?” Jason called as he hopped down the stairs, buttoning up a new light green shirt as he hit the first floor. There was no answer from anyone as he made his way into the kitchen. “Tony!” He tried a different name, hoping for a reply.
“Jason!” He nearly ran into Teresa as he turned the corner. He stepped back from his girlfriend…. Girlfriend? Dammit, he'd forgotten all about her, no matter, he just had to let her down easy, she'd understand. She was holding something, gripping it in her fingers tightly.
“H-here,” She stuttered. “Shane left this for you,” She shrugged, handing it over. Jason saw the expression on her face and he knew immediately that things were about to head downhill. He took the paper from her hands and opened it, turning around and stepping away from her to read it.
Hey Cupcake, Tony woke me up early to go to work, something's come up, sorry. Be back ASAP, after that I want to take you to dinner, on an actual date, call me if you can! Love you!
“Did you read this?” Jason swallowed, folding it back up twice before turning back to her. Teresa stared at the note, nodding with her arms crossed in front of her.
“He was just messing around like usual right, I mean you're not really going out to dinner or anything?” She sounded so scared it almost broke his heart, and it definitely killed his good mood. He bit his lip and looked down, he'd gone mute, he could've lied, but he didn't want to, he didn't want to lie to her.
“I'm sorry,” It was the only thing he could force between his lips. “I… I just…” but that was it, nothing else came out, nothing else could. He stood silently for a moment and then looked back up at her eyes, they were watering, she was going to cry.
“You what? You forgot?” She hollered at him. “You forgot about me, forgot we were going out? Is that it? And then you cheat on me with a man? Not just any man, him!” She emphasized the last word insultingly.
“And what is wrong with him?” Jason yelled back defensively. He wasn't a sympathetic person really, he did better with yelling, fighting back, even though he knew she really just wanted to cry.
“He's a whore, Jason,” Her voice quieted. “A pervert, a slut, a gay-assed skank disguised as a human being. He'll get you in his bed and then he'll throw you out as soon as he's done, just like he did Clark,” She scowled. Jason was fuming by now, in the back of his mind he knew she may have been right, but he was in no mood to agree with her.
“He didn't love Clark, not that you'd know anything about that, who could love Clark,” He crossed his arms and looked down at the floor, he shouldn't have said that, Clark was his friend.
“Oh and what, you think he loves you?” She laughed aloud. “This is precious, what did I just get finished telling you, he's just a gay slut and he's going to burn in hell…”
“I love him!” Jason screamed at her. “You've never loved anyone before, you don't know anything about it, so stay out of my life!” Jason was about to burst into tears himself, but thanks to his reputation he held them back.
“You know, you can follow him right down there,” Teresa turned around and stomped out of the kitchen, she didn't want to let them go in front of him, the tears.
“Gladly,” Jason scoffed, whipping around so that he was facing the other way.
Teresa slammed the bathroom door shut and leaned over the sink. She knew about love, she knew about being in love, but she was in love with someone who wouldn't love her. Even when he tried he'd failed, and it couldn't have been his fault, she was just messed up, and now he was gone just like the others.
Once the fight was over, Raj backed away from the kitchen and headed back up the stairs as silently as possible. He felt ashamed and glad at the same time, he partly blamed himself for Teresa's tears. He'd helped Jason get the confidence to do something to make Shane his. But now he could tell her, and he wasn't going to miss that chance again.
Jason leaned over the counter in guilt, but he was still mad. He cursed himself, he'd really fucked it up this time, but she'd get over it. Remembering suddenly the last part of the note he'd been given Jason took out his phone and dialed Shane's number.
“So whadda'ya say?” Derek pressed his cheek against Shanes, his arms wrapped around his chest from behind. He was standing up while Shane was still sitting in the kitchen chair, and Marty had left the room. “Wanna be friends?” Derek chuckled moving his arms up so that they were around Shane's neck and pulling his head into a hug.
“Why not,” Shane shrugged, laughing as he was squeezed in between the large arms. “I guess I have no choice if I'm going to be living here after all,” He chuckled. Derek smirked and gave him a friendly kiss on the temple.
“Hmm,” The back of his hand caressed Shane's shoulder. “Exactly how many of your friends have you slept with?” He said into Shane's ear. Shane wished he wasn't sitting in a chair, he would've liked to give Derek a good punch in the balls if he could've reached.
“I should've known,” He simply rolled his eyes.
“You should've,” Derek chuckled and bit down on his ear. “Come on Shane, nobody's gotta know, I've never wanted anyone in my bed this badly before,” Derek was smart not to let his hands wander, Shane wasn't exactly falling for it.
“Because with everyone else you didn't even have to beg,” Shane turned his head and gave Derek a sinister smile, though he really didn't know what it was for. Derek smirked and pressed his lips hard against Shane's playfully for hardly a second and then pulled back.
“I'm not a slut,” Shane turned away from him, slouching a bit.
“Oh yes you are,” Derek came around in front of him. “And that's okay, because sluts have more fun,” He winked, leaning over the chair. To his disappointment he heard the sound of a cell phone ringing and he knew it wasn't his. Shane reached for it from his pocket immediately and flipped it open.
“Get away it's Jason,” Shane pushed Derek off him and stood up, walking over to the counter to be a little less crowded. He flipped the phone open and put it to his ear.
“Hey Cupcake, you miss me?” He smiled. Here he was, talking to his boyfriend after he'd just made out with another guy, he was such a fuck up, and hated it.
“Of course I do,” Jason smiled back, somehow he could hear the smirk that was playing across Shane's lips on the other side of the phone. “When you coming home?” He asked eagerly.
“I'm not sure yet,” Shane jumped when he felt a chin on his shoulder and two arms wrap around his waist. “I— I don't know when Marty will let me go, sometime before noon I'd hope,” Shane was trying not to make any odd noises, such as squeals or laughs as Derek sunk his teeth into his ear again.
“You are so beautiful, to me,” Derek sang silently, not wanting too mess up Shane's relationship, then he's definitely never get to fuck the guy. “Can't you see?” He stopped singing. “I want to shove stuff up your ass and…” He paused a moment in thought. “Play with your…” He was cut off by a fist in his groin, and fell to the ground, writhing with his eyes wandering, holding his crotch in pain.
“So what've you been up to?” Shane leaned against the counter looking down at Derek wearing a satisfied grin as he gagged on the hard wood floor.
“Oh, well, nothing really, screaming mostly,” Jason ran a had through his hair, he'd heard strange sounds through the phone but decided it was nothing. “Teresa found out about us, she's pissed at me, we had a fight,” Jason shrugged with a crooked mouth as he walked into the living room, popping an M&M into his mouth.
“Oh well, at least it's over with, you okay?” Shane was focused on what was happening where he was. He crossed on arm over the one that held the phone as Derek pulled himself to his feet, Shane shrugged with a teasing expression.
“I'm fine, But I think she's pretty upset,” Jason sighed. Derek was still holding his balls when he stood on his feet, he gave Shane a hateful look, squinting at him as he sucked up the pain and removed his hands. He had a number of revenge ideas running through his head but only one really sounded long lasting.
“Is she still—,” Shane was cut off as the phone was snatched from his hand. Derek had it fast and took off as soon as he did, just dodging Shane's reach for his shirt.
“Give it back you asshole!” Derek ran as quickly as he could into the bathroom and shut and locked the door just before Shane slammed his entire body against it. He stepped away from the door as Shane kicked and banged on it, ignoring the noise and bringing the phone to his ear.
“Hey, Jason is it?” Derek said.
“Uh… yeah…” Jason purposely sounded unsure.
“So guess who just made out with your boyfriend?” Derek said it loudly enough for Shane to hear, and the banging stopped. Jason didn't say anything, he hoped this guy was joking, whoever it was, he hoped Teresa hadn't been right.
“I'm just kidding, he won't even let me touch him,” Derek chuckled. Jason let out a sigh of relief and so did Shane behind the door, thank god for mercy.
“Who is this?” Jason finally decided to ask.
“Derek Satchel,” Derek used his seductive voice. “You cute as your boyfriend is?” Derek was having fun, he leaned against the wall, still sitting on the toilet.
“Oh, I remember you, I mean, Shane said something about you when we first met,” Jason ignored the question purposely. “The heartthrob,” He shrugged.
“They love me until they meet me, that's how I live,” Derek grinned. “Now are you going to answer my question?” He asked. “Are you cute as Shane?” He repeated it, just to be more persistent.
“I'm not comfortable answering that,” Jason said firmly.
“Just send me a picture then,” Derek suggested.
“No,” Jason grunted “Can I please talk to Shane now?” He asked, staying as calm as he felt he could.
“All right, just one more question,” Derek smirked. Jason didn't answer him, just rolled his eyes and waited, assuming it was going to be something stupid. “What's he look like naked?” Derek was just messing around, as always.
“Give the phone to Shane,” Jason ordered, obviously not amused. Derek frowned and stood up, deciding to fulfill the request. He opened the door to an angry glare and replied with a silly grin before handing Shane the phone and walking away.
“Hello?” Shane said in an aggravated tone and then stepped into the bathroom and slammed the door shut just for a little privacy.
“Hey, what was that all about?” Jason asked, happy to here the correct voice again.
“Nothing, he snatched the phone from me, sorry,” Shane let out an annoyed sigh and sat up on the sink.
“It's all right, he's a bit of a pervert isn't he?” Jason asked, laying back on the couch. He wanted to be held right then, this was where they'd shared their first kiss, he wanted this guy in his arms, soon.
“Yeah, thanks for not telling him what I look like naked,” Shane laughed under his breath.
“I wouldn't know anyway,” Jason shrugged in a bit of a suggestive tone, though he really didn't mean it that way, that was just how it had come out.
“You wanna know?” Shane smirked. “Because I do…” He whispered. He was joking for the most part, and he didn't want to make Jason uncomfortable.
“If I say yes will you come home sooner?” Jason shrugged.
“Yes to what?” Shane crossed his arms.
“Yes, I'll strip for you if you strip for me, then we can make out naked or something,” He laughed. He was unsure of himself in his mind, he wouldn't mind getting touched, or stripping, but one thing leads to another, and he may have minded that.
“You first,” Shane teased.
“All right, just get here fast, I'm lonely and I need kisses,” Jason joked.
“As soon as possible, you know I can't resist that,” Shane replied. “See-ya hon,” He said finally.
“All right, bye Shane,” Jason flipped the phone shut and closed his eyes, resting his hands behind his head, just thinking about all the positive things that came to mind.
“Make out naked?” Raj came down the stairs and stepped up behind the couch. Jason's eyes popped open, he didn't even think of the possibility that someone was listening. “I don't know about you but that sounds like a sorry substitute for sex,” Raj leaned over the back of the couch and looked down at him.
“I'll take any substitute for sex,” Jason shrugged, sitting up and wishing Raj would go away, he just wanted to lay there and day dream at the moment.
“I'm sure,” Raj replied. “What's so bad about sex anyway? You're eighteen years old, your birthday's next month, honestly, it's about time you come out of the kiddie club,” He shrugged. “I mean, I'd take a chance if I got it, not with a guy of course but…”
“All right I get it,” Jason let out a heavy sigh. “But I just don't want to end up like that again,” He shrugged. “And what Teresa said… I'm kind of afraid I'll lose him, what if she's right?” He didn't want her to be right, and he didn't want to have any doubts that she was wrong, but he couldn't help having them.
“If she's right about him then he's not worth it anyway, screw him,” Raj shrugged. He came around the front of the couch and sat on the coffee table.
“I know…” Jason sighed. “But I really like him, I mean, I…” He stopped, putting a hand over his eye. “…I don't know if I can just move on after that, I don't know what's wrong with me,” He couldn't help but think it would be over after they slept together, that it was all that Shane really wanted, and he was holding on just for it.
“Well, don't hold on too tight,” Raj gave him a pat on the shoulder. Jason didn't answer, so he decided to take his leave, Teresa was in Natalie's room with the door shut while Natalie was at work. He thought it was the best time to become the best friend and bring her back up, then maybe later she'd realize.
Jason knew that Shane wanted him in bed, he'd wanted it ever since they first met. But what if that was the only thing he wanted? He knew Shane, he knew he wasn't that much of a player or a heartbreaker, but Shane didn't know, he didn't know how much Jason wanted to keep him. Jason knew he had to let him know before it was too late.
Tony had a white towel wrapped around his waist when he peaked into his room, knowing Nate was still there. By the looks of it, Nathan was asleep, the blankets were over his head and he wasn't moving. Tony sighed and stepped in, he wanted to lie down and take a nap as well now, he was tired, and a little angry with his friend. He knew he wasn't going to be able to stay mad for very long, but he wanted too, Shane couldn't go on the way he was all his life. He walked into the room slowly, being careful not to wake the boy, creeping over to his closet to get some clothes. He opened the closet door slowly, it creaked and squeaked, but when it was all the way open Nate still seemed to be asleep.
Nathan heard someone coming into the room and froze, he knew it could have been Tony, but what if it was Marty? He heard footsteps move over to the other side of the room. The sound of the closet door opening made him pretty confident that it was Tony. He slowly peaked out from under the blankets, trying not to make any noise. Tony was naked beside a towel, and his back was turned. Wicked thoughts ran through the younger boy's head as he watched the man pull a single pair of pants and a t-shirt off of the hangers. Suddenly as Tony began to turn around Nate threw the blankets over his head again and froze stiff.
Tony had his clothes, but he needed boxers, glancing back at the bed he crept over to the drawers and pulled out a pair before continuing to the mirror. He looked back at the sleeping boy one last time, then at the shut door, and dropped his towel.
Nathan slowly moved the blanket away from his face again, so that just his eyes were peaking out. He could barely hold back as gasp at what he saw and through the blankets back over his head. Then, he stopped, he didn't hear anything, and figured Tony hadn't noticed that he was awake. He licked his dry lips and poked his head out once more, he'd liked what he saw. Tony was just pulling his boxers on as Nate stared, he was definitely enjoying the look, but he wanted to touch. Suddenly he sensed something was wrong when Tony froze just as he'd finished pulling his boxers on. He was staring into the mirror with a sudden, horrified look, and then Nate realized that he could see himself as well.
“Oh god,” He threw the blanket back over his head. “I'm sorry,” He felt like such a moron, and a pervert, he didn't want those to be the first things Tony thought of him. There was no answer but Nate was too busy cursing and insulting himself in his mind to notice.
“You're not the first,” Tony finally said in a surprisingly understanding tone as he zipped up his pants. He shrugged and turned around, holding his shirt as a ball in his hand. Nathan slowly moved the blankets down again, this time to his waist.
“Oh…” He said, looking away, wishing Tony would put his shirt on, and at the same time hoping he wouldn't. “Well, sorry,” He apologized again. “I didn't mean to invade your privacy or anything, I just…” He shrugged and looked back at Tony again. Tony nodded and smiled, he didn't mind at all, in a way, he liked being looked at, even by other men.
“It's really okay,” Tony stepped toward the bed a bit. “So are you hungry or anything?” He asked. “We better be quiet too, Marty's home,” He leaned against the wall, awaiting an answer.
“I could eat yeah, is there anything small, like maybe boloney?” Nate sat up and shrugged, turning and letting his feet hang off the edge of the bed.
“I think we have some lunch meat, I could check,” Tony shrugged, pushing off the wall and tossing his shirt on his bed. Nate stood up once the shirt landed next to him and stretched. He sealed his eyes shut, raising his hands in the air and yawning. He had taken a short nap, but it hadn't lasted more than fifteen minutes.
Tony picked up his tooth brush off the table and twirled it in his hand like a baton, sadly, he dropped it before the first spin and it landed at Nate's feet. Tony stepped forward with the intention of grabbing it, but Nate had already bent down to get it. When he stood up straight Tony was right in front of him, he bent his neck back and looked up at the taller man, and Tony looked down at him wide eyed. Neither moved for a few moments, until finally Nate took a small step forward so that one of his feet was between Tony's. Tony's eyes moved to the ground and then back to Nate's. He leaned in slowly as a small hand was placed on his upper arm. Nathan was silent on the outside but his inside's were screaming with joy, this had to be it, the first kiss, the beginning of…
“Tony! Where the hell have you been! Get down here!” There was a loud, mood killing voice from down stairs, it was Derek. Tony stepped back and looked away as soon as it was heard, he had to go. Nate just stared, he wanted to fall back and collapse on the bed, they'd gotten so close, and Tony looked unsure. He felt like he was going to have to start all over again now.
“I have to go, I'm sorry, I'll bring up some food right after we're done,” Tony spoke as he headed out of the room. Nathan fell back onto the bed, just staring at the floor. He'd been so close, it was a once and a life time chance and he'd just blown it. Now it seemed like Tony was afraid of him, or something close to it anyway, and all of the sudden it wasn't just a crush to Nate anymore. He lay back down, covering his eyes with his hands, not wanting to cry, but as he often did, he cried.
A/N: :D I love Derek xD. He actually has the personality of the `old' Marty, the one I used in scripts. Eventually Marty isn't so bummed all the time, after a certain happy event occurs xD. It involves our favorite little whore boy… aka Shane. So anyway, here you go, the next chapter should be up soon… I hope xD.
