“ That demon shall not sleep!” Father Andrew shouted walking over angrily towards Mother Laura and I. He was holding a bottle filled with dark red liquid.
Mother Laura glared at him. He’d gone to far now, I knew as Mother Laura met him in the middle of the room. She blocked his path to me, as I clung to my kitty and sheets, wishing I would disappear so he couldn’t hurt me.
“ Father Andrew have you gone mad?! This child is no demon. He is a kind; caring little boy and I will not have you scaring him like this. Do you understand me, Father?” She shouted at him, totally out raged that he would keep me, a little boy, from getting a good nights sleep.
“ I am not mad, you are for not seeing him for the monster he is! I’ll prove to you that he is a monster. A demon come to destroy us all.” He growled out as he pushed past her and moved towards me.
He opened the bottle of dark red liquid and my heart began to race, and the top part of my mouth ached from my canines growing long and pointed.
The scent of the stuff sent shivers through me, made my veins burn as if someone had set a fire with in them. But I kept calm on the outside, so Father Andrew would leave me in peace.
“ Want it demon?” He said waving the opened bottle under my nose, making sure every breath I breathe was filled with the sweet, iron scent. It was true; I wanted to down it as if it were mere water. But I lied to him all the same.
“ No, I do not want something that smells so vile!” I glared at him, straight in his cold black eyes.
“ See, Father Andrew!” Mother Laura shouted taking the bottle from him shooing him away, but he didn’t leave without giving me the death glare, then he was gone.
“ He’s not right in the head, the rumors are true.” I said laying back down, feeling so calm and safe again.
“ I’d say so, but he is nice once you get to know him.” She tucked me in, kissing my forehead. “ See you in the morning, Liebe.”
“ Alright.” I said falling asleep without another word. Father Andrew was a bad person and I didn’t believe Mother Laura when she said he was nice once I got to know him.
